CHAPTER 34: CHAPTER 34: LOVE YOU, LOVE YOU, LOVE YOU

"Ah!"

While Shane was sitting by the window sketching designs, he heard a scream from the room next door.

He immediately put down his pencil, pushed open the balcony door, walked over to her balcony, and looked at her rolling on the bed. He hurriedly pushed the door open and asked her worriedly, "What’s wrong?"

Audrey sat up from the bed in surprise, used her hand to tidy up her disheveled hair, concealed her excitement and enthusiasm, shook her head, and said, "Nothing."

Shane: "If nothing’s wrong, why are you panting?"

"Because I feel like it!"

"Panting like a slaughtered pig."

Audrey only then realized what he meant by "panting." Her ears turned red, and after a brief daze, she revealed her rogue side, smiling mischievously as she asked Shane, "Do you want to hear me pant?"

Shane shot her a glance, turned, and left, closing the glass door, clearly expressing his disdain.

Audrey pursed her lips, sat on the bed, and excitedly shared the screenshot of the generous donation.

In the roommate group chat.

Barry Barrett: A donation of ten thousand? Oh my, Comrade Sutton has made progress! Tomorrow night’s hotpot is on you!

Flora: I suspect some rich second generation from the school has taken a liking to you and is showering you with attention!

Flora: Dang it, why isn’t there a rich second generation who likes me?

Seraphina Vaughn, still vacationing abroad: Coming back to the country tomorrow, hotpot on Audrey tomorrow night, it’s settled.

Audrey: Sure, sure, I’ll treat! Let’s have a good meal to welcome Brother Seraphina back.

The name Seraphina Vaughn sounds like a gentle girl, but in reality, she’s the most experienced driver in their dorm, compared to her, even Flora is like an innocent schoolgirl.

Before going to sleep, after sending today’s sketches to Laura Yates for review, Audrey lay in bed and looked at the donation message again, recounting the zeros.

In the next room, Shane finished his design sketches, tidied up his desk, and softly walked to the balcony after opening the glass door.

Outside her room, he peered through the glass, confirming that she was sound asleep before turning back inside.

Lying in bed, he fished out his phone and saw her response below the donation: Thank you, little cutie, for your support! Love you, love you, love you!!!

Little cutie?

Seeing this nickname, Shane couldn’t help but frown.

Then looking at the three "love you" afterward, the corners of his mouth unintentionally lifted.

This ten thousand was well spent.

On Friday, when Audrey woke up, she didn’t hear any movement from the gym and couldn’t see Shane anywhere.

Could it be that both sides of the company are so busy that he doesn’t even have time for breakfast?

The reason Audrey was so proactive in making breakfast every day was actually for him.

Seeing that he wasn’t home today, her enthusiasm dwindled, and she simply heated a cup of milk for breakfast.

As she sat on the couch switching TV channels, she heard a sound by the door. Soon, the door opened, and the first to squeeze through was General.

Soon after, Shane entered, dressed in workout clothes.

Audrey then realized that he had taken General out for a morning run.

While changing shoes, Shane took a glance at the cold kitchen counter and asked her, "No breakfast today?"

"Huh?" Audrey got up from the sofa in surprise, "I thought you left for work."

"So if I go to work, you skip breakfast?"

Audrey didn’t want him to think she was making those elaborate breakfasts every morning just for him, so she said, "I’ve already eaten."

Shane glanced at her, went upstairs to take a shower and change, then headed straight for the door.

Audrey watched him and asked, "You’re not eating breakfast?"

"Going out to eat."

"Where to?"

"Not sure, just heading out to see."

Audrey immediately sat up straight on the sofa, "There’s a place across from our school with amazing lamb noodle soup!"

Shane raised an eyebrow slightly, "Oh? I’ll go and see."

"Wait for me, I’m coming too!" Audrey turned off the TV, rushed back to her room to change, grabbed the books she needed for class today, and hurried downstairs.

Shane had already changed into his shoes and was ready, standing by the door waiting for her.

Today, she wore her school uniform, and when she bent down to adjust her knee-high socks, her slender and fair legs peeked out under her skirt.

Shane sneakily glanced at her but then averted his gaze, asking, "Why are you wearing the school uniform today?"

Audrey, while changing her shoes, said, "There’s a school activity today."

Shane thoughtfully glanced at her short skirt again as she finished changing shoes, holding her books, she looked at him, "Let’s go."

General followed them to the door, wagging his tail as if he wanted to go with them.

"Should we bring him?"

Shane glanced at her, "Can you take him to class with you?"

Audrey shook her head earnestly, and Shane nudged General back inside, then closed the door.

Audrey: "It feels so sad to leave him at home."

Shane glared at her, "Let’s go!"

Audrey only cared about the delicious lamb noodle soup near the school, forgetting that this was close to the school, meaning it was naturally filled with people from the school.

As she led Shane toward the restaurant, they heard many people discussing them on the way.

Even though Audrey wanted everyone to know Shane was her man, she didn’t want to be the subject of others’ gossip, especially after that incident in the campus forum. So she thought to keep a low profile whenever possible, avoiding unnecessary attention.

But wherever Shane appeared, low profile was out of the question.

Not to mention his fame, just his looks and physique were already striking enough.

In his immaculate bespoke suit, polished leather shoes, paying attention to the smallest detail like a tiny button on his shirt cuff, his presence in such a small eatery became a particularly eye-catching sight.

Audrey suddenly regretted suggesting they come here.

However, Shane seemed used to being the center of attention. He walked into the restaurant nonchalantly, sat down at an empty table, wiped the table with a napkin, and listened to Audrey tell the owner, "Two bowls of two portions of lamb noodle soup."

"Okay, spicy or not?"

Audrey turned to look at Shane across from her and asked, "Do you want it spicy?"

Shane: "Same as you."

Audrey smiled and told the owner, "Just a bit spicy."

Their table was by the window. While Audrey was telling Shane the story of the restaurant, they heard someone tapping on the glass from outside.

Audrey turned and saw a woman in a flax-colored suit dress, with deep chestnut curls, tall and slender, probably around 1.7 meters, and quite beautiful, she had the air of an especially classy woman.

The woman smiled at Shane, then walked toward the store’s entrance.

Audrey belatedly realized that she had seen that face in Shane’s yearbook.

...It was Clarissa Morgan.
