CHAPTER 356: CHAPTER 356: COME FIND ME AFTER THE DIVORCE

Arthur Sutton snapped back to reality and apologized for his distraction: "Sorry."

The woman smiled and asked him again: "Do you usually prefer strong or mild scents, sir?"

Arthur Sutton replied, "Orange blossom."

He thought, since she knows so much about perfumes, she should remember the scent of the perfume he wore that night, right?

However, after hearing him say "orange blossom," the woman didn’t react and said, "Orange blossom is one of the main ingredients in colognes, so it seems you prefer lighter scents. If you’re looking to change, you could try one with a bluebell base, which has an especially fresh fragrance."

Before the shop owner could take out a sample for him to smell, Arthur Sutton responded, "Alright."

The shop owner gave him a strange look, but as he was her customer, she refrained from commenting further. She simply handed him a sample to smell, and once Arthur Sutton confirmed his order, she returned to the glass enclosure.

As she went inside to work, she removed her mask, and Arthur Sutton, standing not far from the glass room, finally saw her face clearly.

It was as if the face that had always been a blur in his memory became crystal clear in an instant. Coupled with the little boy who looked remarkably like him, he was nearly certain that the girl from that night was her.

Who would’ve thought, after searching so long, she’d be right there so close to him.

But then, does this mean that the boy is his child?

That night, his actions could be considered an assault. He had been searching for her all these years, hoping to give her an explanation or at least an apology.

At the time, she was pregnant, but he thought she probably wouldn’t choose to give birth to a child whose origins were unclear to her, right?

But yet, the child bears such a resemblance to him, seemingly confirming that this seemingly impossible guess is indeed a fact.

He didn’t know what happened after that night, nor did he know what kind of emotional changes and struggles she endured to give birth to the child.

He didn’t know if she got married, didn’t know if she remembered that night, and he didn’t even know her name...

But judging from her reaction earlier, she surely didn’t recognize him.

Arthur Sutton felt an unshakeable calm in his heart, both excited and nervous, but now that he had found her, everything else would eventually fall into place.

On the wall next to him were some introductions about perfumes, as well as some personal information about her.

Arthur Sutton walked over, looking at the ID photo with delicate features; the name displayed beside it was: Janelle Tollman.

Based on the birth year shown, she was now twenty-four years old, which matched his earlier estimation that the girl from four years ago was about twenty.

The information showed that she had only been in the perfumery industry for a little over two years but had achieved significant success and collaborated with many well-known perfume brands.

Her excellence made Arthur Sutton even more captivated, and he once again directed his gaze towards the girl working intently in the glass room.

Arthur Sutton suddenly realized that what he was most concerned about now was whether she got married.

He thought, with her looks and current career, along with that unworldly elegant demeanor, she’s very attractive; even with a child, she probably has many suitors.

Samuel Sutton called, asking Arthur Sutton to return to the company. Arthur Sutton asked a store employee to pass a message to Janelle that he would come back in the afternoon to pick up the order.

School.

In the afternoon, Audrey Sutton was in the art studio catching up on assignments. She sat by the window, which was open, allowing the noise from the playground outside to drift in.

Watching the boys sweating it out on the basketball court, Audrey Sutton wondered if Shane Warner was like that when he was in school. Surely, he also had such youthful vitality, right? There’s no way he was always such a mature and dull person since childhood.

Audrey Sutton’s mind conjured up an image of Shane Warner in a basketball jersey on the court, which she decided to include in her comic.

"Audrey, someone’s looking for you outside."

As Audrey Sutton was daydreaming out the window, a classmate came over and tapped her, pointing outside the studio.

Audrey Sutton peeked outside the studio but didn’t see anyone there for her.

She put down her paintbrush and, feeling puzzled, walked outside the studio, looking around both ends of the corridor. She then saw a hand emerge from behind a wall, beckoning to her.

Audrey Sutton guessed who it was, smiled, and walked over to the wall.

"How did you know to come here?"

Simon Sue, wearing a cap and mask, had himself covered up tightly, fearing to be recognized by his crazy female fans.

"I came to give you something."

"Something for me?" Audrey Sutton got a bit anxious at the thought of the envelope, fearing Simon Sue might pull an envelope out of his pocket and hand it to her.

Simon Sue nodded and said, "Birthday gift."

Audrey Sutton then understood his intention and teasingly said, "Obviously, you lack sincerity, my birthday was yesterday."

"And whose fault is it for not inviting me yesterday?"

Audrey Sutton chuckled, "You busy person, can’t even finish your gigs; yet you think I could summon you here."

Simon Sue bluntly exposed her by saying, "You’re worried your husband might get jealous?"

"Hehe."

Simon Sue handed her a small box of desserts and teased, "Honestly, I forgot your birthday, only realized it when I saw your post yesterday. Just bought this, it’s the thought that counts."

Audrey Sutton accepted the box from his hand, "Alright, I appreciate the thought, thank you."

Simon Sue joked, "Are you and your husband doing well recently? If you ever get divorced, consider me."

Audrey Sutton furrowed her brows, lifted her hand to push him toward the stairs, "Get lost, we’re doing great, don’t talk nonsense here."

Simon Sue went with her push, moving down the stairs while bantering, "They say I’m a jinx, good things rarely happen, but bad things I predict always come true."

"Scram!"

"Okay, I’m leaving, but remember to come find me if you ever get divorced, okay?"

Audrey Sutton rolled her eyes at him, "Divorce my foot, you keep rambling nonsense and I’ll shout your name right here!"

"Alright, alright, I’m scared, I’m heading out."

As Simon Sue took a couple of steps downstairs, Audrey Sutton suddenly recalled something and called out to him, "Wait, I need to ask you something."

"Hmm?" Simon Sue turned around to look at her.

Audrey Sutton glanced around, still somewhat concerned that someone might pass by, so she took Simon Sue into an empty classroom nearby.

She sat by a desk, opened the small cake he brought, and while eating, asked him, "Have you been in touch with Clarissa Morgan lately?"
