Mr. Warner, Your Wife is Running Away Again!
Chapter 358: The Super Handsome Uncle
CHAPTER 358: CHAPTER 358: THE SUPER HANDSOME UNCLE
The sensor glass door of the store automatically opened when Arthur Sutton approached it.
This time, as soon as he entered the store, he saw Janelle Tollman on the first floor.
She was standing in front of a shelf, chatting with a store salesperson.
Another salesperson noticed Arthur Sutton coming in and hurried over to greet him.
It happened to be the same girl who received him in the morning, she recognized him immediately and said, "Mr. Sutton, you came to make a reservation this morning, right?"
Arthur Sutton withdrew his gaze from Janelle Tollman and nodded, "Yes."
"What’s your name, sir? Let me check the order for you."
"Arthur Sutton."
After answering the store clerk’s question, his gaze returned to Janelle Tollman, not noticing that the clerk hesitated for a moment upon hearing his name, glancing at him as if discerning whether this Arthur Sutton was the Suttons’ Third Young Master she’d heard about. She followed Arthur Sutton’s gaze to their boss lady and then said, "Please wait here, sir, I’ll go get it for you."
After the clerk left, Arthur Sutton didn’t sit in the adjacent waiting area; instead, he stood there staring at Janelle Tollman.
The sensor glass door silently opened again, and a little girl’s voice quickly rang out, "Mommy, my teacher gave me a little red flower today as a reward!"
Upon hearing the little girl’s voice, Arthur Sutton didn’t immediately react, but when he saw Janelle Tollman looking over at him after hearing this voice, he belatedly retracted his gaze and turned to see a small pink figure with a backpack running towards Janelle Tollman.
At the same time, he saw a little boy following the girl into the store.
Seeing that face was like seeing himself as a child.
Countless strange feelings swept through his mind as he watched the boy walk straight past him, muttering while heading towards Janelle Tollman, "What’s so exciting about a sticker."
Janelle Tollman interrupted her conversation with the clerk, squatted down, and hugged her daughter as she ran over. Seeing the little red flower stuck on her daughter’s forehead, she gave a thumbs-up and offered some encouraging words.
After the boy walked over, the girl snuggled into her mother’s arms with a spoiled look, arrogantly complaining, "Mommy, many kids in the class have little red flowers, but my brother doesn’t."
The boy rolled his eyes at his tattletale sister, seemingly used to it, and didn’t bother to argue.
Janelle Tollman didn’t blame her son; she reached out to pull him beside her, gently offering encouragement.
Arthur Sutton stood motionless, watching the pair of children, and suddenly questioned whether they were his kids.
Because he felt everything was too wonderfully unreal and couldn’t believe he was the father of these adorable children...
Janelle Tollman seemed to sense his gaze, looked up at him.
Then she stood up and said to the two children, "Chase, take your sister over there to do homework."
The brother led his sister to a small table in the corner, while Janelle Tollman smiled and walked towards Arthur Sutton, "You came by this morning, right? If I remember correctly, you reserved the bluebells?"
Arthur Sutton nodded slightly, "Yes."
Janelle Tollman pointed to the waiting area and smiled, "Sit for a while, I’ll go get it for you."
Arthur Sutton called out to stop her as she was about to turn away, "No, a clerk already went there."
Janelle Tollman paused, turned back to him with a smile, "Oh, then you can sit over here and wait."
"It’s fine," Arthur Sutton said promptly, then asked, "Are those your kids?"
Janelle Tollman glanced in the direction of Arthur Sutton’s gaze and nodded, "Yes, they came right after school."
"How old are they?"
"Just over three, just started kindergarten."
Only perceiving it as casual chit-chat, Janelle Tollman didn’t sense anything unusual.
Arthur Sutton fell silent for a moment, three years old, in terms of time, it added up.
He had so many questions inside, but he didn’t know how to start them yet.
At that moment, the clerk returned with a packaged paper bag: "Mr. Sutton, here is your perfume, if you like it, remember to come back next time."
Arthur Sutton accepted the bag, nodded, "Okay."
With no reason to stay, he glanced at the two children not far away and then looked at Janelle Tollman, softly saying, "I’m leaving."
Janelle Tollman smiled and nodded, "Welcome back next time."
Arthur Sutton turned and left the store, telling himself he’d found the person, but the rest would come in due time.
After all, in her eyes, he was just a stranger.
He’s rather grateful she doesn’t remember him, considering that memory for her wasn’t a pleasant one.
After Arthur Sutton left the store, the girl who helped him buy the perfume immediately approached Janelle Tollman, saying, "Boss lady, do you know who he is?"
"Huh?" Janelle Tollman expressed confusion.
The girl laughed, "Arthur Sutton, the Third Young Master of The Suttons."
"The Suttons?"
Seeing her boss lady always engrossed in studying perfumes, unmindful of the external world, the girl said, "It’s the Sutton family that’s allied with the Warner family! Didn’t the Third Young Mistress of the Warner family visit the store a few days ago? That was her brother just now."
With that explanation, Janelle Tollman showed a look of realization.
The girl immediately giggled, "Besides, just now when he stood by the door, he kept staring at you, could it be that our boss lady’s beauty has bewitched him?"
Janelle Tollman just treated it like a joke, completely dismissing it, "Go do your work."
Saying this, Janelle Tollman walked toward the two children.
Seeing her come over, the daughter raised her head and smiled sweetly at her. When Janelle Tollman sat next to her daughter and looked at her daughter’s workbook, her daughter whispered, "Mommy, that uncle just now was so handsome."
Upon hearing this, Janelle Tollman chuckled, "Do you know what handsome is?"
The daughter seriously replied, "It’s good-looking, I just want Mommy to find a super handsome uncle to be my dad."
Janelle Tollman gently tapped her daughter’s forehead with her finger, laughing, "What kind of things do you have in your little head, watching too many TV dramas with your grandmother."
...
This year’s summer arrived relatively early. By early June, the temperature approached thirty degrees.
In the morning, after finishing her classes, Audrey Sutton went home to prepare lunch.
Immediately upon entering the house, she heard noise from the swimming pool.
She thought Shane Warner usually works at the company during the day, so how could there be noise from the pool? Could General have fallen in?
Thinking this, Audrey Sutton couldn’t help but quicken her pace to explore further.
The water in the pool was evidently deeper than before, and she saw a muscular man swimming, his long arms moving through the water.
Of course, that man was Shane Warner.
Though puzzling why he was at home at this hour, Audrey Sutton still didn’t disturb him, standing by the pool to enjoy watching him swim.
