In the original story, Kōga received the Cosmo of all his comrades, and his Pegasus Omega Sacred Cloth underwent a higher evolution. The power of the Great Universe even surpassed that of Saturn.
Later, Kōga once again challenged Saturn, and the power he unleashed shocked even Saturn himself, who had previously claimed to have seen through the power of Omega.
In the battle that followed, Kōga was even able to suppress Saturn, and the unwavering conviction he displayed gave Saturn a strange feeling of exhilaration, something the eternal god had never experienced before: a burning passion.
Every punch contained the power to destroy the gods. (Seiya's Divine Strike pierced the first form of Saturn's God Cloth, while Omega Kōga's every punch could shatter even the second form, meaning each of his attacks far surpassed Seiya's Divine Strike.)
Though he still couldn't completely defeat Saturn, he was the only one who had ever injured him.
If Jiang Chen could truly reach that level, then not only in the Saint Seiya universe, but even beyond into countless dimensions outside the Main World, he would be considered a top-tier expert.
That would be a realm truly beyond the Tenth Sense. How could he not be excited by that?
His consciousness sank deeper.
BOOM! RUMBLE!!
Enormous explosions continued to echo within his Cosmo and just as the power of Omega was beginning to take shape, the sky suddenly turned black above the Sanctuary.
A chilling, murderous aura instantly spread throughout the heavens and earth.
BOOM!
Pitch-black darkness swept across the sky, and with it, an overwhelming divine will of the gods descended, attempting to obliterate everything with destructive force.
A crushing aura spread throughout the Sanctuary.
Everyone who had been watching the stars turned pale.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
One terrifying aura after another shot into the heavens. The Twelve Gold Saints rose up together, and above them, three female priestesses appeared.
Then, the sky cracked open, and a towering figure slowly stepped through.
"Where is Athena?" A deep voice echoed from the figure's mouth. He didn't even glance at the others and instead looked straight down.
"Lord Atum, Lady Athena is currently not present in the Sanctuary." Cecina took a deep breath and stepped forward, replying respectfully, though inwardly, she couldn't help but feel nervous.
This man, Lord Atum, was one of the few remaining Sovereigns of the god pantheons still present on Earth.
"Not here? Hmph! If she's not here, then there's no need for any of you to exist either." With a cold snort, Atum released a terrifying divine will to crush everything in that instant.
Cecina and the Twelve Gold Saints all looked grim but before they could even respond,
BOOM!
Another divine will surged forth and collided with Atum's and a clash of immense power followed.
In an instant, Cecina and the Twelve Gold Saints were blasted away by the shockwave.
"Abollo!" Atum spoke in a deep voice, his gaze turning toward the figure slowly walking from the distance. A searing crimson flame radiated from all around him, and a blazing aura spread out in every direction.
Looking at the figure before him, Atum couldn't help but let out a cold snort, and a trace of wariness appeared on his face.
As fellow sun gods, he was not necessarily a match for Abollo.
"Atum, this is not a place for you to cause trouble," Abollo spoke calmly.
"Abollo, haven't you noticed? There's Omega's power here. Can you tell me what Athena is really doing?" Atum sneered, his tone cold and pressing.
"What she's doing? That's not something I need to report to you." Abollo's voice remained calm as he spoke, but in the next moment, scorching heat swept through the area, instantly isolating the surrounding space.
"You---!" Atum instinctively grew angry at Abollo's words, but almost immediately, he sensed something was wrong, and his expression changed.
"Since you've come, you might as well stay," Abollo spoke flatly.
"Abollo, what are you trying to do? Don't forget, we of the Egyptian Pantheon still have the Ennead, the Nine Pillar Gods. Are you really trying to provoke a war between our two pantheons? Even with your current strength, there's no way you can defeat the Nine Pillars!" Atum's expression darkened as he growled through gritted teeth.
"The Nine Pillar Gods… I'm afraid… they no longer exist."
In the next instant, limitless flames surged, and Abollo's entire form seemed to transform into two blazing suns.
"What is this…?!" Atum's eyes widened in shock. At that moment, he sensed a deeply familiar aura.
It was the aura of Ra.
The Sun God of ancient Egypt, far greater than Atum himself in hierarchy, Ra was the midday sun, the chief of the Ennead of Heliopolis. And yet… he was sensing Ra's aura coming from Abollo.
Combined with Abollo's words, Atum could no longer remain composed and a terrible realization flashed through his mind,
"Impossible! How could you possibly have done it?!"
His voice now carried a trace of panic. But at that moment, Abollo no longer responded. Scorching heat spread outward, and combat erupted in that very instant. Although Atum held the status of a Sovereign, it was clear that he was no match for Abollo. Almost instantly, he was completely suppressed.
In the void of space…
Atum's body was continuously bleeding.
"Impossible! Damn it! You Bastard!" Atum's roars echoed in fury, but at this moment, they were meaningless.
Abollo's divine power expanded, and the vast will of the gods crushed Atum's will almost immediately. Cosmo energy then descended and enveloped him.
But just as Abollo pinned down Atum, the sky above Sanctuary cracked open again.
One figure after another stepped forth from the rift and powerful auras spread across the entire world.
Each one of them… was a Spiritual God. The moment they appeared, waves of majestic divine will swept across the entirety of Sanctuary.
At that moment, the Pristess and the Twelve Gold Saints, who had only just recovered from being blown away, saw their expressions drastically change again.
"Gods!"
"More Gods?!"
"This is getting worse! Priestess, is there still no way to contact Lady Athena?" Melchaba couldn't help but speak up, his eyes turning toward the girl beside him.
The Main Priestess shook her head, her expression now heavy with concern.
The constant string of disasters had even left the chief priestess of Athena's temple feeling a pressure unlike anything she had ever known before.
Especially now…
She could clearly sense the presence of several powerful Gods.
"We can't let them destroy Sanctuary! Looks like this time… we'll have to fight with everything we've got!" Arudi spoke in a deep voice, determination flashing in his eyes.
The other eleven Saints gave subtle nods. Though their hearts were heavy, in this moment, the Twelve Gold Saints had made up their minds.
Sanctuary was their home.
No matter what, even at the cost of their lives, they would protect it.
