CHAPTER 92: 092: WANT TO SCOLD YOU

"Thanks." Cen Jin steadied herself, looked up at him, and gave a faint smile, intending to withdraw her hand, but found that he was holding it quite firmly, yet with a measured control, not hurting her.

Jiang Baizhou pursed his lips, hesitated for about ten seconds, then released her arm and brushed past her shoulder.

Cen Jin touched her nose, quickly followed him, and then heard a notification sound from his phone. Out of the corner of her eye, she instinctively glanced over and saw him take out his phone from his pocket and look at the message. Suddenly, he stopped in his tracks, causing her to reflexively stop as well. Before she could speak, Jiang Baizhou turned his head to look at her.

"What’s wrong?" With him staring at her with such a sharp gaze, Cen Jin couldn’t help but feel uneasy, looking at him with full vigilance.

"Do you have time tomorrow?" Jiang Baizhou turned to face her, putting away his phone, as if he had made a major decision, his expression and eyes full of seriousness.

"Ah?" Cen Jin tilted her head, looking at him in confusion. The next moment, an idea struck her, and she squinted at him teasingly, "Are you going to ask me to treat you to a meal again? Jiang Baizhou, do you have any shame? I was the one who treated you just now."

"Answer my question." Jiang Baizhou ignored her question again, seemingly eager to know her answer.

Cen Jin nodded in a daze, "I’m free, but what do you want to do?"

"I’ll wait for you downstairs at nine o’clock tomorrow morning."

"Where are we going?"

"To a place."

"What place? Can’t you just tell me clearly?"

"You’ll know when we get there."

"Can I refuse?"

"No."

"I’ve been getting up at six or seven every day recently. Now that I can finally rest, you make me get up early and won’t even tell me where we’re going. What kind of game are you playing?" His assertive refusal made Cen Jin feel a bit emotional, pouting and grumbling in reluctance.

"Then two o’clock in the afternoon." Saying that, Jiang Baizhou turned and walked ahead, pulling out his phone and typing like he was texting someone.

Cen Jin followed his pace again, her hands behind her back, "Can’t you tell me where we’re going first?"

"You’ll find out when we arrive."

"What if you sell me off and I have to count the money for you?" Cen Jin blurted this out without much thought, directly making a metaphor.

Upon hearing this, Jiang Baizhou scratched his head and looked over. It was rare to see a smile on his handsome face, but under the dim streetlight, he smiled brightly like the stars, his black eyes flashing with a hint of smile as well. With a casual and teasing tone, he said softly by her ear, "No need, I can count it myself."

"..."

Cen Jin was speechless, staring at him with a face full of feigned despair. This guy knows how to insult someone without using a single curse word.

What’s that supposed to mean, he can count it himself? Is he implying she’s not worth much?

"Let’s go!" Looking at her annoyed face, Jiang Baizhou casually raised an eyebrow, smiled lightly, and continued walking.

"Jiang Baizhou, let me test you on something."

"Speak."

"Guess what I’m thinking right now." Cen Jin blocked his path, holding up her pretty face for him to examine.

Jiang Baizhou squinted his eyes, looking at her, his thin lips pressing into a straight line. If he could figure out what she was thinking, he wouldn’t have the current concern and unease!

"Just say it," Jiang Baizhou remained silent for a long while before speaking hoarsely.

"I want to curse you." Cen Jin didn’t bother to hide it, tossing these three words at him before giving a light snort and running into her villa.

"..."

Jiang Baizhou stood in place, stunned for a moment, then chuckled softly after her figure disappeared.
