Summer Shawcross’s sudden reminder left the driver puzzled, but he still replied politely.

"Thank you for your concern, ma’am. I’ll be careful!"

Hearing the driver’s words, Summer felt relieved, turned, and got out of the car.

"Ma’am." Just as she got out of the car, she was greeted by Sean Morgan waiting at the entrance.

Summer nodded and, holding the chicken soup, walked towards the group’s main entrance.

Sean followed and gave a worried glance at the thermos box she was carrying.

"Ma’am, the boss is still busy. How about you let me hold the chicken soup for you? You can go to the lounge and have a cup of coffee, and wait until he’s done?" Before Summer entered the elevator, Sean kindly suggested.

"No need, he’s busy with his things. I won’t disturb him; it’s no big deal." Summer smiled and directly refused his offer.

"Then... how about I hold it for you?" Sean looked at the thermos box in her hands and couldn’t help but ask again.

"The thermos box isn’t heavy; I’ll carry it myself!" Summer gave Sean a glance, and just as the elevator doors opened, she walked straight inside. Sean shook his head helplessly and followed her in.

Soon the elevator reached the top floor.

Summer exited the elevator, and before Sean could lead the way, she headed straight towards Noah Drexler’s office.

Seeing her familiar steps, Sean’s expression turned to one of surprise again.

What Summer didn’t say was that in her past life she was set on divorcing Noah Drexler, so she frequently came to bother him here, and had long been familiar with his office.

However, when Summer reached Noah Drexler’s office door, she was startled by the scene outside.

Several staff dressed in formal attire were standing at the office entrance with dejected looks.

As they saw Summer appear with her long hair over her shoulders, wearing jeans and a white short-sleeve T-shirt, looking fresh and lively, a few of the male staff couldn’t help but glance at her twice.

Summer was very pretty, yet it was not a seductive kind of beauty—her charm was clean and pure without any impurities. Combined with her well-maintained slender figure, making such a Summer unnoticed in a crowd would be no simple task.

"Miss, it’s best not to go in now." Seeing Summer reaching to knock on the door, one of the staff couldn’t help but remind her.

They didn’t want to witness a beautiful girl being harshly scolded by their stern and unfeeling boss, ending up running out in embarrassment, since their boss had no compassion for beauty...

"Why?" Just as Summer was about to knock, she stopped upon hearing his words and asked, puzzled.

"The boss is in a bad mood!" the staff member lowered his voice and whispered.

"So what?" Summer didn’t quite understand, not thinking Noah Drexler’s bad mood was a big deal, as in her memory, the man never seemed to be in a good mood.

"Uh... you probably aren’t from our company, but that’s not the point; just don’t go in now, or you’ll regret—"

Before ’regret’ left their mouth, Summer, unfazed, didn’t even bother knocking. She directly turned the door handle and walked in, unwilling to believe that Noah Drexler could be more terrifying than when she drugged him during her escape from marriage.

And then came a sweet and pleasant voice.
