My Aloof Husband, Mr. Drexler, Dotes Me Excessively
Chapter 23: Not a Drop Left, All Snatched Away!
CHAPTER 23: CHAPTER 23: NOT A DROP LEFT, ALL SNATCHED AWAY!
Summer Shawcross mumbled indistinctly, then lowered her head again and started drinking the chicken soup in the thermos in anger.
Since he doesn’t trust her, no matter how much she does, he won’t trust her anymore, so she might as well save the effort!
Looking at her angry appearance, the man couldn’t help but smile, and an expression of helplessness crossed his originally cold face.
Just as she lowered her head, angrily drinking her chicken soup, his slender fingers suddenly lifted her face.
Summer paused, holding a mouthful of chicken soup, her oily little mouth pouting as she glared at him angrily.
Looking at her angry little look, a hint of warmth passed through the man’s eyes, his gaze resting on her crystal-clear lips.
The next second, the man’s disdainful voice rang out.
"Summer Shawcross, how old are you? Drinking something and getting it all over your mouth?"
When his voice sounded, Summer was stunned, her expression showing even more dissatisfaction.
Just when she was about to glare at him again and was preparing to scold him a few words, the man suddenly took the paper towel from the table.
His slender fingers held the paper towel, finally landing on the corner of her mouth, gently wiping the soup stains away.
Summer was dumbfounded, her eyes widening, staring at him in amazement.
At this moment, she almost couldn’t believe her eyes.
Perhaps she had never noticed before, that this man... could actually be warm in a moment like this.
After a moment, Noah Drexler let go of the hand holding the paper towel, then glanced down at the thermos in her hand.
He directly bent down and took a sip of the chicken soup from where she had just drunk.
His usually dark eyes lost their usual coldness, gaining a subtle warmth.
"Not bad." He said with a pressed smile, but his gaze was still on her lips.
The chicken soup in her hand was different from what he usually drank, with a few more hints of sweetness and fragrance... And this faint sweetness made him inexplicably feel refreshed, completely forgetting how he had been angry at many just ten minutes ago because of the project being snatched away.
...
Summer just felt his gaze inexplicably deep, and when he stared straight at her... her heart couldn’t help but skip a beat, then... started beating erratically.
She wondered why she hadn’t noticed before how captivating this man’s gaze and face could be.
Perhaps her opinion of him had changed in her heart, and now she suddenly found that this man... sometimes didn’t seem as scary as she remembered.
"If you think it’s nice, I can make it for you again tomorrow..." She opened her lips slightly, unconsciously turning her gaze away, no longer looking into his eyes, but at the transparent glass wall behind him in the office.
The floor here is high, and you can almost see half of Narsus City’s scenery.
Behind the office is a long river.
Looking at that river, Summer thought of the things that came to mind in the car, and couldn’t help but form another idea.
Tonight, the famous young male singer, Zeke Sawyer drowned in this river.
If she could save her brother, then... she should also be able to save Zeke Sawyer.
Zeke Sawyer’s songwriting is exceptional, at least domestically, there is basically no one who can match him.
If he could lend a hand...
...
Listening to Summer’s words, Noah Drexler slightly furrowed his brows, then calmly said.
"For this kind of thing, just let the servants do it."
Hearing his words, Summer felt a bit dissatisfied, thinking that he was still wary of her. Just as she was about to say something, she found out that Noah Drexler was looking down at her hands.
