CHAPTER 162: A BARGAIN

"Brother Yu! We just arrived at the airport. Can you come pick us up?" Bao Shengjie asked.

Hua Yuyu glanced at the surveillance camera’s monitors and saw that Bai Hanyun was nowhere to be found.

Since there were no cameras installed in her room, she must be in her bedroom. However, he had no idea what she was doing. Therefore, he couldn’t leave.

After thinking about it, Hua Yuyu replied, "No. I sent you travel money. Come here by yourselves."

"Bro—!"

Before Bao Shengjie could finish speaking, Hua Yuyu ended the call.

Hearing the busy tone, Bao Shengjie turned to his companions and said, "Brother Yu told us to go there on our own."

Without a word, Wang Kaimu unlocked his phone and ordered a ride through a ride-hailing app. After confirming the booking, he said, "Let’s go."

Following Wang Kaimu, the group left the airport and got into the car. An hour later, they stepped out and looked at the house in front of them.

Seeing the high walls and the closed metal gate, Bao Shengjie took out his phone and called Hua Yuyu.

Soon, the call connected, and he said, "Brother Yu, we have already arrived in front of the house. Can you come out or open the gate for us?"

Hearing this, Hua Yuyu stood up and left his capsule house.

With the phone still in his ear, he said, "Wait."

Walking to the main gate, Hua Yuyu ended the call. When he arrived, he saw Bao Shengjie and the others waiting outside.

Seeing him approach, Bao Shengjie waved excitedly. "Brother Yu!"

Hua Yuyu unlocked the main gate with his fingerprint and opened it. Stepping aside, he said, "Come in."

As Bao Shengjie and the others stepped into the front yard, they were surprised by its size.

Hua Yuyu glanced at him and shook his head, and thought, ’This kid might faint if he knew how Miss Bai spends money.’

As they walked toward the house, Hua Yuyu pointed at the capsule house nearby and said, "That capsule house is where I live. You all will be staying there with me from now on."

Looking at the two-story, luxurious capsule house, Bao Shengjie’s eyes widened in surprise. "Whoa~ Brother Yu! Your client is so generous! That capsule house must be expensive, right?"

Hua Yuyu shook his head and replied, "I don’t know. Miss Bai let me choose the model, and she handled the payment and paperwork."

This time, not only Bao Shengjie but also Wang Kaiye and the others were surprised by Bai Hanyun’s generosity.

While they were chatting, they arrived at the front door. Hua Yuyu pressed the doorbell and waited a moment before Bai Hanyun opened the door.

Seeing a group of strangers standing behind him, Bai Hanyun smiled and asked, "Brother Hua, are these brothers the new bodyguards?"

Hua Yuyu nodded and explained, "They were my subordinates in the Special Forces. Now they are working as freelancers."

Hearing this, Bai Hanyun’s eyes lit up.

She looked at the tall men behind Hua Yuyu and thought, ’No wonder they all give off the same aura as Brother Hua. Turns out they are all ex–Special Forces! I really got a bargain this time!’

Thrilled to have a team of ex-soldiers as her bodyguards, Bai Hanyun stepped aside and enthusiastically welcomed them.

"Quick, come in! It must be hot outside. Have a seat while I go get you something to cool down."

Leaving those words behind, Bai Hanyun trotted to the kitchen.

Seeing her excitement, Bao Shengjie nudged Hua Yuyu with his elbow and whispered, "Brother Yu, why do I feel like your client is looking at us so strangely?"

Hua Yuyu glanced at him and said nothing.

Seeing this scene, the others exchanged glances, then followed the two into the living room.

Just as they sat down on the couch, Bai Hanyun returned with a tray of cold drinks. She placed it on the coffee table and handed out the drinks.

Grabbing a cup of watermelon juice for herself, Bai Hanyun sat down on a single-seat couch and took a sip while observing Bao Shengjie and the others.

Noticing her interest in his team, Hua Yuyu said, "Miss Bai, let me introduce them to you."

He gestured toward the others and added, "From left to right, their names are Bao Shengjie, Wang Kaimu, Wang Kaiye, Gao Gong, Xie Wei, Ouyang Zhuangyu, and Wu Jun."

Bai Hanyun smiled and waved at them. "Hi, my name is Bai Hanyun. I didn’t know Brother Hua was bringing so many people today, so I haven’t prepared accommodations for you all."

She paused for a moment and then asked, "Did you all see the capsule house outside?"

Bao Shengjie nodded eagerly, like a chicken pecking at rice. "Of course! That capsule house looks way better than an ordinary house."

Seeing his eyes light up when he was talking about the capsule house, Bai Hanyun asked, "Would you like to live in a capsule house too? I can arrange for the company to build more today."

Hearing her offer, Bao Shengjie looked at Hua Yuyu, waiting for his opinion.

There were only two bedrooms in the capsule house, so there wasn’t enough room for everyone.

After a moment of thought, Hua Yuyu said, "Miss Bai, my capsule house only has two bedrooms. It can accommodate four people. You can help us build another one."

With eight people total, they would need another capsule house. But having two grown men share a room might be inconvenient over time.

Since she was going to buy another anyway, Bai Hanyun decided to just get more so everyone could have their own room and live more comfortably.
