Hearing what Ke Ting just said, Gui Xiaoxu paused and then took the invitation letter. After reading it, he said, "Clear my schedule tomorrow."

"You are going to the banquet?" Ke Ting asked with a hint of surprise in his voice.

Placing the letter back down, Gui Xiaoxu stood and walked to the floor-to-ceiling windows. As he looked at the blue sky, his lips curved up slightly.

Lighting a cigarette, he replied, "There is someone I want to meet there."

When he said that, Ke Ting’s interest was piqued. Leaning on the mahogany table, he said, "Boss, I have known you for years, but this is the first time I have seen you interested in someone."

After a short moment of silence, Gui Xiaoxu replied, "She might be the only one who can save my Gui Clan."

Seeing the flicker of anticipation, hope, and interest in Gui Xiaoxu’s eyes, Ke Ting said, "I will make the preparations right away."

Gui Xiaoxu nodded. "Mhm."

After Ke Ting left, Gui Xiaoxu pulled out the jade pendant hanging around his neck. Rubbing its smooth surface, he murmured, "I hope you are the destined one, Bai Hanyun."

Exhaling another puff of smoke, Gui Xiaoxu put out his cigarette and returned to his work.

Meanwhile, Bai Hanyun and the others had just arrived home.

Just as Bai Hanyun finished washing her hands and was about to eat, her phone rang. Seeing that it was Jiang Yinqi, she answered the call.

With a smile on her lips, Bai Hanyun asked, "Elder Brother Yinqi, it’s rare for you to call me. Do you have an update about the Bai Group?"

"Mhm. They are going to announce the new chairman at tomorrow’s banquet," Jiang Yinqi explained.

Hearing this, Bai Hanyun responded, "Understood. Just send me the address and I will be there tomorrow."

Listening to her carefree voice, Jiang Yinqi realized she didn’t know the full story and said, "Hanyun, Bai Yansheng plans to announce Bai Li as the new chairman."

Hearing this, Bai Hanyun raised her eyebrows slightly and chuckled, "He really dares to dream."

Jiang Yinqi was silent for a moment and added, "You need to be careful tomorrow. I just received information from a friend that Bai Yansheng is also going to announce something else. It might be related to your inheritance."

Upon hearing this, Bai Hanyun’s gaze turned cold. She chuckled and sneered, "Don’t worry, Elder Brother Yinqi. I know what to do. I don’t care what he wants to do. But if he dares to touch the things my grandfather left me, I will not let him go."

Knowing that she wasn’t someone to be taken lightly, Jiang Yinqi said, "Alright. Let me know when you arrive at the airport tomorrow, and I will come to pick you up."

"Mhm."

After hanging up the call, Jiang Yinqi sent her the banquet details.

Seeing that the banquet would be held in the evening, Bai Hanyun called Hua Yuyu. She didn’t wait long before Hua Yuyu’s voice came through the speaker.

"Miss Bai, do you need something?" Hua Yuyu asked.

"Yes. I need to go to Xi Yang City tomorrow, and I want you all to accompany me," she explained.

"Understood. Please send me the details. I will book the plane tickets and arrange transportation right away," Hua Yuyu replied.

After saying that, he paused for a moment and asked, "Do you need me to book a hotel room for you?"

Bai Hanyun rubbed her chin thoughtfully before saying, "No need. I will handle the hotel myself."

"Got it."

After ending the call, Bai Hanyun forwarded the banquet information to Hua Yuyu. Then she scrolled through her contact list until she found the one she was looking for.

She pressed the call button and waited patiently.

When the call connected, a man’s voice came through, filled with surprise and excitement. "Eldest Young Lady, is this really you?"

Bai Hanyun smiled and replied, "Assistant Ruan, I’m sorry for only calling now. I hope everything is going well for you since we last met."

Hearing this, Ruan Hanlin’s eyes turned red. Holding back his emotions, he said hoarsely, "Eldest Young Lady, I’m so relieved you are safe. You don’t know how worried we were when Bai Yansheng kicked you out."

Hearing the genuine concern in his voice, warmth filled Bai Hanyun’s heart. Her eyes turned gentle as she said, "I’m sorry for making you all worry."

Ruan Hanlin smiled and asked, "Are you planning to come back now?"

Bai Hanyun glanced at her backpack and replied, "There are still things I need to take care of here. I can’t return just yet."

When she said this, Ruan Hanlin sighed in disappointment. After a few seconds, he took a deep breath, smiled, and said, "It’s alright. We will be waiting for the day you return and take over the company."

Calming down, Ruan Hanlin asked, "Since you are not planning to return yet, did you call because you need my help?"

Bai Hanyun replied, "Mhm. I’m attending the banquet tomorrow. Can you help me book a presidential suite at the Bai Group’s hotel?"

Ruan Hanlin’s eyes lit up, and he quickly said, "Of course. I will arrange everything for you. Do you need someone to pick you up?"

"No need. Attorney Jiang will be picking me up," Bai Hanyun replied.

Ruan Hanlin made a note on his phone and said, "Understood. Please call me when you arrive at the hotel. I will come to greet you personally."

Bai Hanyun chuckled at his words. "Alright. Thank you, Assistant Ruan."

"It’s my honor to help you, Eldest Young Lady."

"Then I will see you tomorrow."

After ending the call, Bai Hanyun set down her phone, opened her laptop, and continued watching her drama while eating her late lunch.

While Bai Hanyun leisurely enjoyed her meal and drama, at the headquarters of the Special Forces Investigation Department, Lei Jingqian looked at his subordinate and asked, "Are you sure the owner of Bu Gui Pavilion will appear in Xi Yang City tomorrow?"
