CHAPTER 193: SO PITIFUL

When the car door closed, Bai Hanyun turned to him and said, "CEO Yu, thank you for personally picking me up."

Yu Xiangyu smiled slightly and responded, "Miss Bai, you are too polite. You are my grandfather’s honored guest, so naturally, you are mine as well. It’s only right that I escort you to the old mansion myself."

After saying that, he instructed the driver, "To the airport."

"Yes, CEO Yu," the driver replied and started the engine.

As the car left the hotel’s parking lot, Yu Xiangyu pressed a button, and a moment later, a table was set up in front of them. He then brought out the prepared breakfast and arranged it neatly on the table.

Smiling politely at Bai Hanyun, he said, "We are leaving in a hurry, so I assumed Miss Bai hasn’t eaten yet. I wasn’t sure what you liked, so I asked my assistant to prepare something most young ladies enjoy."

While he spoke, Bai Hanyun’s attention was on the food. After working late last night and skipping breakfast, she was starving.

Looking away from the table full of delicious food, she said gratefully, "CEO Yu is very thoughtful. I like them."

Seeing that she liked the food, Yu Xiangyu handed her a pair of chopsticks. "I’m glad to hear that. Please enjoy your breakfast, Miss Bai."

Accepting the chopsticks, she replied, "Thank you, CEO Yu."

With that, Bai Hanyun began to eat.

Watching her enjoy the meal, Yu Xiangyu opened his laptop and resumed working.

After pitying Yu Xiangyu for working like a cow or a horse, Bai Hanyun happily continued her breakfast.

On the way to the airport, both Bai Hanyun and Yu Xiangyu focused on their own business.

Two hours later, the driver stopped the car and said, "CEO Yu, we have arrived."

Hearing this, Yu Xiangyu closed his laptop and turned to look at Bai Hanyun. However, when his eyes fell on the empty plates, bowls, and cups, he was stunned.

After a moment of silence, he looked at Bai Hanyun and saw her watching a drama on her phone.

’This Miss Bai really can eat. She actually finished food for three people in one sitting. Looks like I need to inform the chefs to prepare more food later.’

With that in mind, Yu Xiangyu said, "Miss Bai, we have arrived."

Seeing that she didn’t respond, he hesitated for a few seconds before gently knocking on the table in front of her.

Hearing the knocking sound, Bai Hanyun looked up and saw Yu Xiangyu staring at her. Taking off her earphones, she looked outside and realized they had arrived at the airport.

Shaking his head helplessly, he got out of the car and followed Bai Hanyun and the others.

Just as they walked out of the VIP parking lot, Chi Limin was already waiting there.

"CEO Yu, the private plane is ready."

Hearing that they were flying on a private plane, Bai Hanyun gave Yu Xiangyu a thumbs-up.

Unaware of that gesture, Yu Xiangyu calmly said, "Good."

With him and Chi Limin walking in front, the others followed behind.

Watching this scene, Bai Hanyun clicked her tongue and commented, "Impressive! Too impressive! Having money really is impressive!"

Walking behind her, Bao Shengjie nodded in agreement and sighed, "I also want to be an impressive man."

Hearing this, Ouyang Zhuangyu chuckled and said, "Before that, you need to stop spending money on games."

Bao Shengjie grimaced at his words and shook his head. "Then I don’t want to be an impressive man anymore."

While they chatted at the back, Yu Xiangyu asked Chi Limin, "Have you found out why CEO Gui looked for Miss Bai last night?"

Chi Limin nodded and handed over his tablet to Yu Xiangyu. "Here is the investigation report."

Yu Xiangyu took the tablet and read through it.

Lowering his voice, Chi Limin added, "CEO Yu, our people discovered that CEO Gui seems to be interested in the Bai Group’s latest project."

Hearing this, Yu Xiangyu looked up from the report and asked, "You mean the undeveloped land in Fu Nan Province?"

Chi Limin nodded. Yu Xiangyu asked again, "If I remember correctly, Miss Bai lives in Fu Cheng Town, located in Fu Nan Province."

"Yes," Chi Limin replied.

Hearing the confirmation, Yu Xiangyu pondered for a moment before saying, "Looks like CEO Gui isn’t interested in the land, but in Miss Bai."

When Chi Limin heard this, he glanced at Bai Hanyun for a moment, then looked back at Yu Xiangyu and asked, "CEO Yu, should we intercept them?"

Yu Xiangyu raised his hand. "No. Let’s observe for now."

"Yes, CEO Yu."

After their discussion, Yu Xiangyu continued reading the report. Finding out that Gui Xiaoxu had spent less than half an hour inside Bai Hanyun’s presidential suite, he returned the tablet to Chi Limin.

Noticing Yu Xiangyu’s thoughtful expression, Chi Limin hesitated but chose not to interrupt his thoughts.

Half an hour later, they boarded the private plane owned by the Yu Group. Soon, the plane took off, and the stewardess came to offer food and drinks.

Bai Hanyun had already eaten a lot in the car, so she declined the food and only ordered orange juice, while Hua Yuyu and the others ordered a breakfast set.

While they enjoyed their food and drinks, Bai Yansheng was in the middle of a shareholders’ meeting.
