Chapter 200: Sunny vs Delilah
CHAPTER 200: SUNNY VS DELILAH
Soon everyone went to their respective arenas and started their battles.
Ethan didn’t leave. Out of these 500 students, most belonged to many prestigious families, so they had many heritage spells in their hands. Ethan wanted to absorb all their spells to better understand the origin of spells, which was the path he had chosen.
There were 3 boys and 1 girl who didn’t have any significant background, but they defeated their enemies very swiftly. Ethan overheard the conversation of the instructors, and that was how he learned their backgrounds.
He then looked at Sunny, who was still fighting toe to toe with a girl.
Sunny could not gain any upper hand against that girl.
She was a metal elemental magus, while Sunny was a light elemental.
Ethan looked at Lucas, who was standing beside him, and asked, "Instructor, who is that girl? She can actually fight Sunny to this level?"
Lucas smiled, "She is Delilah Gravemont. The youngest princess of the Holy Britannian Empire. She is a prodigy who is not even a little bit less talented than Sunny, as you can see there."
Ethan nodded. That girl had many tricks up her sleeves and she was also strong as hell.
Sunny was using different types of light spells.
Ethan could tell Sunny was getting desperate. And then Sunny shouted,
"Wrath of the Arch Angel."
Boom! The entire arena turned golden. The sky split open and a huge projection of an angel appeared with a golden sword.
He thrashed that sword down like a knight plunging his blade into the heart of a fallen enemy.
It was a top tier light spell.
Delilah’s face changed instantly. She had also learned a top tier spell, but she was not very proficient in it yet.
But to counter a top tier spell, she would also need a top tier one, even if it was half-baked.
"Protection of the Metal Dragon."
It was a top tier spell too.
Instantly a metal dragon appeared behind her and struck at the sword that was still coming down.
But the comprehension of a spell differs greatly when the tier is the same, and Sunny was clearly on a whole different level than Delilah.
The dragon and the angel’s sword clashed.
But because the foundation of the dragon was weaker, it could not last long against the sword and dispersed.
The sword was still descending even after vanquishing the dragon.
It was about to fall on Delilah.
But a teacher took action and Sunny’s spell vanished instantly.
He announced loudly,
"Sunny won the match."
Delilah looked at Sunny, and tears were almost coming down from her eyes.
"Sunny, you big fat meanie. I will never talk to you again."
Ethan became speechless. Was this the same girl who had been fighting so fiercely a moment ago?
Sunny looked at her and said, "Why would I want to talk to you? Did you bring me any good food?"
Delilah started crying. Sunny didn’t care much and left the arena.
"Bro, did you see how I taught that girl a lesson? I was very cool, right?"
Ethan smiled wryly,
"You were very cool, but I don’t think you will be for much longer."
Sunny became confused.
"Why?"
Ethan coughed lightly, "You might want to look behind you."
Sunny looked back and saw his grandma smiling at him.
Sunny became happy instantly, "Grandma, did you se... ah ah, grandma what are you doing? It hurts, it hurts."
Martha pulled his ear.
"Why did you make her cry?"
Sunny was still screaming, "Ah. I am sorry."
Only then did Martha let him go.
Sunny started rubbing his ear, "Ouch. Why would you do that?"
Martha snorted and said, "Don’t dare to make that girl cry again. She is your fiancée."
Sunny asked with confusion, "What is a fiancée?"
Ethan became speechless. This dummy was so oblivious about everything other than magic and food.
Martha had watched Ethan’s fight earlier, and now she knew what her grandson meant when he said he was not as strong as that boy.
Martha smiled at Ethan, "Boy, be sure to come to our home with Sunny."
Ethan nodded at her too.
Delilah, who was standing behind Martha, came forward and stuck out her tongue at Sunny, who was still rubbing his ear.
Martha looked at Delilah and said, "Sweety, this is Ethan. Sunny’s best friend. You should already know him."
Delilah came forward and said, "Hello, I am Delilah. It’s nice to meet you, Ethan. You are very strong. Thank you for being friends with this fatty."
Ethan also greeted her.
Ethan could tell this girl cared very much for Sunny, but that dummy didn’t get any of it.
Ethan said, "Delilah, we were going to the canteen, you can join us if you want."
She became very happy, "Really? It won’t be a problem for you guys?"
"Sure. We won’t have any problem. Right, Sunny?"
Sunny nodded his head. He became happy to hear that he could finally eat.
Martha noticed this and thought to herself,
"This boy is really good. Sunny needs someone like him as a friend to mature faster."
Every battle was over. The next phase would begin after breakfast. Today they would fight all day long to figure out the ranking.
Soon Ethan, Sunny, and Delilah left together toward the canteen.
Lucas stepped toward Martha and asked, "What do you think of this boy, Martha?"
"Interesting, very interesting indeed. I am waiting for the dean to return. Let’s see what he has to say about him."
Lucas nodded in agreement.
Edian came to Lucas and said, "Friend, I want to take Ethan to the Origin World. Can you give him permission?"
Lucas nodded.
"Many will go this time. I think the academy will give a 15-day break for this reason. No need to worry, the Origin World is far too important to not give permission."
"Thank you." Edian heaved a sigh of relief.
Ethan’s master aptitude was the main aspect, this magus aptitude was just a subsidiary one, but that boy was damn good. What he would do with the beast master aptitude, Edian very much wanted to see.
