CHAPTER 280: ROSE’S AWAKENING

Ethan was observing the process of awakening. The energy which was inputted by the guild master into that orb was transforming into another type of energy and was entering inside that man’s body.

The energy was circulating throughout his body and his every cell was getting exposure to it.

Ethan deciphered that this energy was reading his genetic code, and even if one cell had the code of a talent, then it would awaken it.

It had been almost 9 minutes, but still, there was no reaction.

However, Ethan knew what was going on exactly. The energy had found a source of genetic code, but the energy was not enough, so all the energy in the body was gathering there to dig out the information.

Now Ethan also knew how this energy worked. If he could understand the genetic code of a talent now, then he would be able to awaken the talent of a person himself.

So he was intently watching the process of how that energy was digging out the talent.

And at the very last moment, the energy was able to successfully awaken his talent.

The orb lit up with a dark violet color.

The entire hall stood up instantly. It was a mythical talent. Thousands of years had passed since the last mythical-tier talent had appeared, and that man was now a supreme hunter.

The hunters also had ranks, from E to SSS.

It was actually the adventurer guild that stole the idea of this ranking.

Hunters needed to become way more powerful to rank up. So a D-ranked hunter could easily defeat an S-ranked adventurer.

The guild master smiled at the young man. It was his honor that a mythical talent had appeared from his hand. He would be able to brag about that. But he couldn’t be too eager; that would make the man disregard him completely.

The young man was still in disbelief. How could that be? How could he awaken a mythical-tier talent?

The guild master looked at him softly and asked, "Child, you can hide your talent’s name and category if you want, or you can tell us so that we can give the exact resources you need."

"My talent is called ’Ice Sorcerer’ and I can use Ice magic."

The entire guild was again in murmurs. A magus talent had appeared? How long had it been? And it was actually a mythical-tier talent.

The guild master couldn’t control his emotions anymore and started laughing out loudly like a maniac. He already forgot about his earlier attitude. To hell with disregarding him. He would feel honored if a mythical-tier talented mage disregarded him personally.

"Child, please go with that man and sit in my office."

The young man nodded his head and went with a refined-looking man.

Now it was Rose’s turn, and there weren’t many people left.

Only two after Rose.

The guild master surely lost his patience with them. He wanted to go and talk to that young man personally right now.

Rose was nervous even if she had become very powerful now. She knew the power scale of hunters was too vast.

The same process started again. The special energy started reading her genetic code, and in 2 minutes, they found their target, as she had way too many of those talent particles inside her body.

Ethan was also happy when he saw that the special energy found their target. That meant she had a talent.

But then came the real problem.

The energy which the guild master was inputting was not proving enough to awaken that power inside her body.

For 8 minutes, they tried their best to bring out the genetic code into life but failed to do that.

So the orb didn’t show any change either.

"Failed," the side man said loudly.

Rose also heard this, and instantly, tears started rolling down from her eyes.

"So I was destined to be a failure. My brother and father were probably right. I am just a woman with nothing to be proud about. I should have got married." In a split of a second, she fell into the pits of despair.

Rose stood up with great difficulty, as if she had lost her strength to do it.

She came in front of Ethan,

"I am sorry, Ethan. You tried so hard to help, but I have failed. Maybe I should return to the kingdom." Tears were still rolling down.

Ethan stepped forward and brought her into his embrace and tightly hugged her.

"Silly girl, who told you that you don’t have a talent?"

Rose said very slowly, "I know. You don’t have to lie to me." But she didn’t try to come out from his embrace though.

Ethan then carried her like a princess and came out from the guild.

Some people in the guild looked at them,

"What a cute couple."

Ethan was not lying. He knew that Rose had an exceptional talent, but the guild master’s power was just not enough to bring out that talent.

"Let’s go." Ethan entered a dungeon with her.

The dungeons were very special types of creations. They sent every group into a different space.

So no other group could help or attack them in a dungeon. If they became rich, those treasures would be theirs; if they faced death, they also would have to face that alone.

Ethan wanted to start the awakening process inside the dungeon.

After entering the dungeon, he let Rose down and asked Rose to sit down cross-legged.

"Ethan, what are we doing? A demon slayer training? I am just a useless woman, please don’t waste your time on me."

Ethan put a finger on her lips and gave her a gentle smile.

"Just do what I ask you to do, okay?"

Rose didn’t ask any questions anymore and sat down there.

Ethan was about to input his energy, but he stopped. He then cast his Ultimate Domain and separated this place from the dimension.

This was his hunch that she might have a super-powerful talent which could even cause trouble later.

"Here goes nothing."

Ethan had already copied the energy signature of that special orb energy and converted his own energy into that energy.

He immediately found those special talent particles.

And started inputting powers in several levels.

But to his surprise, even tier 14-level power couldn’t bring out her talent.

Then he inputted tier 17-level energy, and that also failed.

"No wonder that guild master couldn’t awaken her talent."

Ethan then gave tier 20-level energy, and only then was he able to move those particles.

"Let’s go."

With a final pull, all those particles came out and gathered together.

Boom!

A big bang occurred instantly.

An intense light started to gush out from her body, and a horrendous pressure came out with it.

Ethan could only utter one word before he fainted instantly.

"Fuck."

Rose also lost her senses. But the intense light was only getting brighter and brighter.

Five minutes later, something started to manifest from her body.

It was a woman who looked somewhat similar to Rose, but she was like the origin, and Rose was like a cheap copy of her.
