CHAPTER 292: WAYS TO EARN MONEY

Rey had already told him about this man who had helped them. Though Ethan hadn’t seen him before because he had been in a semi-unconscious condition, he could guess that this person was the same one who had helped them.

Ethan smiled a little.

"Thanks. I’m alright now, and my brother is also doing fine. He’s in Sabro’s house right now."

Garold heaved a sigh of relief.

"That’s good to hear. But I saw you were very weak yesterday. Are you sure you should be here walking on the road instead of taking more rest?"

Ethan was surprised to hear that. This man was very kind-hearted indeed.

"Thank you, sir, for your concern. I’m alright now. We came from a faraway land. We have no friends or family here. So, we’ll need money if we want to live here. That’s why I came here to find out if there are any ways to earn money."

Garold listened to Ethan very intently.

"Come to think of it, I don’t know your name yet. I’m Garold."

Ethan replied with a smile, "I’m Ethan, and my brother is Rey. It’s nice to meet you, Mr. Garold."

"Okay, Ethan, come with me. Let me see if I can manage some work for you."

Garold started walking ahead, and Ethan followed him.

They arrived near a lake.

"The market is busy, so we couldn’t talk there properly. Our village is very small, so the money that circulates around us is also small. We can grow the basic food in our fields, and as for meat and fish, this lake provides us with enough fish. We also have a hunter squad that goes to the mountain to hunt once every ten days.

The hunter team earns the most in the village since they risk their lives. Then there’s Sabro. He’s our village doctor and earns the second most. Garold finished speaking.

Ethan listened carefully.

"Then what about towns and big cities? Is there any nearby?"

After listening to his words, Ethan felt relieved. They weren’t in some god-forsaken place after all.

Garold said, "If you want some instant money, you can catch fish here. It’s safe, and there are always people who like to eat fish. The lake is huge, as you can see. I don’t know if we’ve discovered all the species here yet. Good luck."

Ethan nodded and went toward Sabro’s house.

He was thinking about all his options. He now had the power of ten mammoths, which was a tremendous force. He was sure he could hunt monsters in the mountains easily. But then what? Where would he sell them? In the village? They would think he was a monster for being able to hunt at such a young age.

Because of him, Rey might suffer. So his only option was to catch fish and find out which ones had the highest market value in the village and town. Then he would go into the water and catch only those fish.

"I’m sure that swords and sword techniques are very pricey. If I can get Rey admitted into a sect, he’ll grow faster there. And the ’Divine Might’ technique also needs different types of treasures to cultivate. I’m sure we won’t find everything here."

Ethan was thinking as he walked.

"Come to think of it, the villagers were very nice. Are they always nice to outsiders, or is it just us?"

There were many questions in his mind, but he wasn’t in a hurry. He had made a deal with Sabro that he would bring herbs from the mountain, so that’s what he would do. And he would send Rey to a sect.

He arrived at Sabro’s house and went directly to find him.

Sabro stood up and brought him the book.

After a while, Ethan left with it.

Sabro sighed.

You’ll also become the Palace Master of the Divine Palace.

I hope my wait will finally be over."

Ethan didn’t have his mental power right now, or else he would have seen that Sabro was a Tier-9 existence.

Ethan started reading the book. There were around 104 species recorded in it, and he memorized the entire book with pictures in just a few moments.

He planned to go out and catch fish later, but another idea came to his mind. He had a healing talent. He could become a doctor using that ability, and he was sure it would earn him far more money than catching fish.

However, he didn’t know the full range of his talent or how much illness he could heal. He needed to test it out. He had enough energy in his body right now.
