CHAPTER 297: ARRIVING AT THE CITY

In the evening, their carriage arrived at a town where Ethan had never been before.

"Boss, I think we should stay in this town tonight. The night is not safe for traveling," Dan said from outside.

"Okay. We will stay here. Find a good inn for the night that has good food too."

"Okay, boss!"

Blue licked Ethan’s cheek. "Oh, you’re hungry? Me too. We’ll eat in a while."

Dan asked some passersby to find out which was the best inn in the town. Then he took the carriage to that inn.

Both Ethan and Rey got down.

After booking three rooms, they went to eat dinner.

But suddenly, a commotion came from outside.

The three of them came out. They saw a butler shouting, and a young girl was struggling to breathe, her face turning red from lack of oxygen.

A luxurious carriage stood beside them. It was clear they were from a rich family.

Ethan hurried toward them.

"What happened to her?"

The butler looked at Ethan. He was just a boy, probably the same age as his young miss.

"We were going to Arana City. Suddenly, Miss fell ill in the carriage, so we came here to find a doctor." Though the butler thought the boy was too young to understand the situation, he hoped maybe he knew a doctor.

Ethan went near the girl and held her hand.

"Boy, what do you think you’re doing?" the butler roared at Ethan.

"Don’t worry, old man. My brother has a healing talent," Rey said from the side.

As soon as he said that, the butler froze. Now he could see what the boy was doing.

A gentle power entered the girl’s body and then her lungs. Her lungs were completely damaged for some reason. It almost felt like she had been inhaling slow poison every day.

After months of training with his talent, Ethan could now see the organs of the patient he treated.

In three minutes, her lungs became as good as new, and Ethan slapped her back.

The butler wanted to rush over and pummel the doctor for slapping his young miss, but he stayed where he was, biting his tongue. He would definitely ask for an explanation later.

The butler’s eyes widened. Who was this boy? He was the best doctor he had ever seen.

The butler didn’t even argue. He took out a bag of gold coins.

Butler Park almost fell to the ground. He knew who could have done this.

But it was hard to believe that the person would go to such lengths, even to kill her younger sister out of jealousy.

"Thank you, sir. I’ll keep her safe from now on, even if I have to die."

Ethan didn’t say anything else and went back inside the inn.

Others in the inn had also seen what happened. Instantly, Ethan gained a great reputation in the town.

Someone in the corner of the inn muttered, "What a terrifying healing ability. I’m sure the young mistress will want to have him under her command. I should contact her tomorrow."

The next morning, they left the inn.

Today, they would reach Arana City.

"Sir, where are you going, if you don’t mind telling us?"

Ethan heard a voice from behind. It was the butler from before, and the young girl was also standing there.

"Hello, sir. I am Iliana Ross. Thank you for saving my life," she said, bowing to him.

Ethan just nodded. "You’ve already paid me, so we owe each other nothing. As for your question, I’m going to Arana City too. My brother will participate in the recruitment test."

Both Iliana and Park exchanged a look of understanding and then glanced at Rey. He was also a very handsome young man, though not as much as Ethan.

"Shall we go together, sir?" Park offered. He wanted to form a bond with him.

"Sure," Ethan agreed. "The more, the merrier."

Ethan and Rey entered their carriage as per their request.

Dan drove Ethan’s empty carriage behind them.

Along the way, they talked about many things.

The butler knew a lot about the geography of the world.

From him, Ethan learned that they were part of the Sun Kingdom, which was one of millions of countries in the Valeria Empire.

And there were three thousand empires in the southern continent.

"So I’ve basically entered the absolute lowest level of the empire. Is that my destiny or what?" Ethan thought with frustration.

Ethan also liked the butler. He was a man worthy of befriending.

He also learned more information about the sect.

The sect was called the "Heavenly Fate Sect." It was said they came from a faraway place about five hundred years ago. They were not natives of the empire. The sect was located in the capital city of the Sun Kingdom.

"Thanks for sharing this knowledge with us," Ethan said to the butler.

"Please don’t mention it, sir," Park replied politely.

Then Ethan gave them the address of the village where he lived.

"If you ever need help, come find me in the village."

This time, Park felt immense happiness inside. He had successfully formed a bond with this unparalleled young genius doctor.

They arrived at the city in the evening.

"Ethan, the city is really big. We’ve never been to a city before, right?" Rey asked, looking around in awe.

Ethan felt sad when he remembered his grandpa, father, and mother. Though they were Rey’s parents, he loved them dearly.

"Let’s find an inn. You both should sleep early. Tomorrow is a big day."

Ethan looked at Rey and Iliana.

Park nodded. "You are correct, sir. I’ve been to this city before, so I know the best inn here. Please follow me."

After that, Park took them to grand inn in the city.

They booked room, had a nice meal together and went to sleep.

Ethan sat crossed legged to cultivate. Now that he had reached 20000 mammoth level power,which was around 30 million tonnes.

He could now complete 1000 cycle at once, meaning 100 mammoth level power in a single session each time.
