CHAPTER 573: CHAPTER 347: EPILOGUE (PART 2)_5
"I don’t know, I don’t know that much, Julius counts as one, the other Rainbow Wings undercover counts as one, but they were all taken out by you guys."
"How many children are sheltered in the Salvation Society?"
"I don’t know, I’m not qualified to know."
"Then what’s the relationship between the Father of Puppets and the Mentor?"
"The Father of Puppets is a humanoid created by the Mentor using his own genes fused with those of another Catastrophe-level Superpower User." Urushibara Ryuri explained, "So the Father of Puppets possesses both Spiritual and other types of superpowers, it was through the ’Spiritual’ part of his power that he granted me personal consciousness."
"Just as I thought?" Black Cocoon muttered, "I wondered why he looked so much like the Mentor."
"So... you are indeed Ji Minghuan? The Mentor also suspects you are related to that Restricted Level kid."
"I don’t know him."
"Don’t worry about slipping up in front of me, they can’t know where I am, and they can’t know what I’ve heard." Urushibara Ryuri said, "I was under the Father of Puppets’ control, now that he’s dead, I’m free... Of course, I will disappear in a little while."
"Enough." Black Cocoon picked up the phone, "Liuli, since you can give me the location of the Salvation Society’s base, I’m already satisfied. Although I don’t know if it’s real or not, I’ll verify it personally."
Having said this, he opened his phone’s address book.
In the phone given to Cezar by Urushibara Osamu, Urushibara Osamu’s number was saved because Urushibara Osamu had told Cezar he could reach out for any help.
And Ji Minghuan once used Yaguba No. 3 to open that phone and memorized Urushibara Osamu’s number in his mind.
Therefore, at this moment, Black Cocoon’s phone naturally had Urushibara Osamu’s contact information.
"How long will it take for him to get here?" Urushibara Ryuri said softly, "Don’t make me wait too long, I’m about to disappear... I’ve been waiting for a long time, there’s no more time to wait."
"You can tell him yourself."
Black Cocoon said, lifting his finger to press the screen, dialing Urushibara Osamu’s number, the sound of "ring ring" came through. He put the call on speakerphone, then used the restraint belt to hold the phone to Urushibara Ryuri’s ear.
Urushibara Ryuri was slightly taken aback, then hung her head in silence for a moment, her lips barely moving:
"Brother?"
On the other end of the phone, there was silence for a very long time.
Seeing that the other party remained unresponsive, Urushibara Ryuri smiled lightly and said softly, "Come see me, I only have half a day left."
At this point, a response finally came from the other side of the call.
"Where are you?" Urushibara Osamu asked, his voice as calm and indifferent as ever.
"I’m in Osaka, you can locate this phone to find my position." Urushibara Ryuri said. At this time, Black Cocoon poked the screen with the restraint belt, ending their call.
"You’re really mean, couldn’t you let us talk a little longer?" Urushibara Ryuri turned to look at Black Cocoon.
"Your dear squad leader brother seems to be over there in Tokyo, at his speed, he could reach Osaka in three hours."
"Will I survive three hours then?"
"That’s indeed a good question." Black Cocoon said, "Precisely because we don’t know if you can live for three hours, I need to hurry up and ask you some things about the Salvation Society, hmm, I have many questions to ask, let’s take it slow."
Three hours later, the rain stopped, the sky brightened slightly, and Japan’s sky began to clear.
As the first ray of morning light came through the window, illuminating the abandoned building, a black crow suddenly flew in through the window. It landed on the windowsill, lifting its eyes, its scarlet pupils silently gazing at Urushibara Ryuri’s back.
"Brother, you’ve come."
Urushibara Ryuri glanced at the crow from the corner of her eye, raising a slight smile. After a while, the crow disintegrated into fragments of black crow feathers.
Urushibara Osamu walked step by step, hands in the pockets of his trench coat, expressionless.
"I... have been looking for you for a long time." he said softly.
"I know, you’ve always wanted to kill me." Urushibara Ryuri said, "Because you don’t acknowledge me as your sister, but I have your sister’s thoughts, body, it’s disgusting, isn’t it? I know, you hate me so much."
"She’s dead, and the deceased should rest in peace." Urushibara Osamu stopped, his eyes deep.
"Yes, brother." Urushibara Ryuri laughed wretchedly, "I’m about to be laid to rest, are you happy? I looked for you so long then, yet you hated me so much, it’s not fair."
Urushibara Osamu remained silent.
After a long period of silence, he pulled out a jet-black handgun from his trench coat pocket, placing the muzzle against the back of Urushibara Ryuri’s head.
"Goodnight..." he said softly, pulling the trigger.
A sharp gunshot reverberated, breaking the deathly silence inside the abandoned building, followed by a spray of blood, as Urushibara Ryuri’s head slumped, her glassy clear eyes dimmed, eyelids slowly closing.
Then, a brief silence engulfed the building’s interior, Urushibara Osamu lowered his eyes, silently watching as Urushibara Ryuri’s body dissolved into tiny flecks of light.
"So ruthless, you treated your sister like that?" Black Cocoon tilted his head, bewildered.
"My sister has been dead, many years ago."
"Alright, rational people are nice, but unfortunately, they’re not very charming. Does that mean, Captain, you owe me a favor now?" Black Cocoon asked, "I helped you find your dear sister... or her puppet, you should be thankful, right?"
"Are you going to get involved with the Lake Hunting and Nian Beast matter?" Urushibara Osamu asked without looking back.
