The rubber helped with motion sickness

“Indeed. If there is not much in stock, then that would make me quite anxious to use it as a new material…”

“There should be enough if it’s just slippers. Well…as long as it’s not everyone in the town who is trying to buy them.”

“I am sure that will not happen. So…”

“If it is like the rubber you are holding now, I should be able to provide you with it regularly.”

“In that case, we can use it for the slippers. Still…I am concerned about the price.”

Sebastian had suggested that slippers would be a good way to ‘slowly’ let others know about the rubber.

It would surely not sell too much, so there wouldn’t be any rubber shortages.

Obviously, if the slippers really were going to be sold as products, the rubber would have to be provided regularly. And so for now, it was decided that the duke would be in charge of it.

They would figure out how to keep costs low, etcetera.

A lot of these things would be managed by the butler that I hired…

“Rubber sure is interesting.”

Keith muttered as we made our wait to Mr. Haines’s store, where we would meet up with Claire and the others.

“Do you think so?”

“Yes. It can stretch but it is also durable… It can be a liquid or turn into a ball for fenrirs. The color also changed from white to black. Also, it can be chewed if you don’t heat it up.”

“That’s true…”

“In fact, Emelia was quite happy about it. She said the rubber helped her a little.”

“I’m glad that she does not vomit anymore.”

“Sebastian and Walter seem to have felt the effects as well.”

Aloysius and Chita talked with relief.

It was about a simple countermeasure to motion sickness.

I had recalled something that I heard a long time ago, about how chewing gum could help with it. And so I had given some to them as a test.

And while the effects were not very dramatic, it seemed to ease the feeling of sickness, and no one vomited like before.

Not just Emelia, but Sebastian was also quite happy. Phillip and Johanna too.

While this was not the reason I had started making the gum, as it only used a little, it wouldn’t be a problem.

While thinking about such things, we arrived at the general goods store.

I saw Tilura standing by the entrance and waving at us.

“Leo! Mr. Takumi! Liza!”

“Wuff-wuff!”

“Sister Tilura!”

She started to shout.

I chuckled and waved back.

“Mr. Takumi. How were your visits to Isabelle and Halton?”

“I am very grateful towards Ms. Isabelle for what she did. Also, I think that the slippers should be ready soon.”

Claire asked us how things went.

I then told her about the discounts and how I purchased the tiny lights. Also, I gave an update on the slippers.

They just needed a little more testing with the rubber attached, and then they would be ready to go into production.

It would take time to prepare enough to sell, but the rest should be finished soon…
