My Bottle Cosmos
Chapter 381 - 367 Wales: I Found a BUG
CHAPTER 381: CHAPTER 367 WALES: I FOUND A BUG
"Welcome to the Great World of Immortal Dao."
"Our history dates back over three hundred twenty-seven epochs, with an astonishing history of thirty trillion and seventy billion years!"
...
As the voice reverberated, the imperial examinations began.
But outside this Thorny World, Black Star paced back and forth in the corridor, as anxious as a husband outside a delivery room, pondering:
"Whether they pass the exam in this world is one thing, but how I cover up my lies is another problem!"
He initially intended to reap profits easily, but now he found himself in an embarrassing situation.
Originally, his plan was simple: pass the examination, become a minister, and then casually use the Immortal Dao Race to mutate them as a reward.
After all, these tech-ignorant civilizations have never seen such wonders; they find species transformation fascinating, but who would’ve thought someone knowledgeable showed up...
In the beginning, their expectations were raised through the roof!
Claiming he might be from an Ancient God Level civilization—how could such a grandiose exam offer mere demigod-level mutant species rewards?
Now the promised rewards couldn’t be delivered, and his bluff was about to be exposed.
Black Star pondered how to cover it up, but then a voice came from next door: "Black Star, are you here?"
"Old man, how did you know I was here?" Black Star became instantly wary.
Professor Wales rolled his eyes in speechless disapproval.
Do you really think I’m as dumb as you?
You gathered these people and are holding the exams within this world; everyone knows you must be nearby watching.
Actually, Wales had no intention of paying attention to this guy.
This Black Star is quite reckless.
He loves causing trouble so much, with his not-so-smart mind, that he’s bound to get himself killed sooner or later!
But now, not responding wasn’t an option; his recklessness might drag Wales down, affecting his own plans to go unnoticed and take it easy here.
Now he had to team up with him in this frenzy.
"How about we join forces again?"
Professor Wales said, "Let’s also bring that third party along, and with three of us, establish a foothold in this region."
"Why should I listen to you?" Black Star was very displeased, as this guy had previously set him up.
"Because only the three of us managed to get in."
Wales explained, "You should know it was by pure chance we were the first ones to break in; now, the countless Divine Upper beings outside can’t get in anymore."
After all, everyone wanted to cross the river.
But breaking through worlds and shattering the Crystal Wall to enter the corridor meant exposing one’s true self.
And not only did they have to guard against a heap of Divine Upper beings behind them, ready to ambush the one crossing, but if any of the three of them found a chance, they could also attack each other swiftly.
Whoever entered would face attacks from both the front and rear!
Hence, after them, Divine Upper beings almost had no chance of getting through this opening into the Cosmos.
They were the third force here.
At least in the short term.
"Join forces, and then what?" Black Star asked.
"In this examination, let’s absorb these talents together," Wales said. "Let’s digest these deceived civilizations, extract their essence, and make them our foundation!"
"The people I painstakingly lured here, you want to take advantage of me and divide them up?" Black Star was instantly furious again.
Wales was speechless, "Without my help, can you keep up your act? Swallow such a huge piece of fat? Convince these dozen Divine Level civilizations to join your forces and work for you? They’d immediately see you’re a fraud."
"So, how can you help?" Black Star’s unusual line of thinking jumped straight to the point.
"The reward should be the power of the Creator God, right?"
Wales continued, "Recently, I ventured farther and saw some new worlds, where the first generation of Creator Gods were emerging, and we can send our forces to hunt them and seize their Creation Cells."
Li Qing had previously been fiercely launching new worlds; naturally, among those vast newborn worlds far away, new Creator Gods arose,
"This should be quite low-level." Black Star noted.
If the Ancient Gods were the first generation of Creator Gods, those gazing through the Crystal Wall, awakening within the world, are the second generation of Creator Gods.
And excavating these second generation Creator Gods’ cells to siphon off Divine power represents the third generation, which is even more inferior, less pure.
"Having some is fine, let’s just make do," Wales said, "I will get you a batch to serve as exam rewards, to bluff as Ancient Gods, but you have to do something too."
"What is it?" Black Star asked.
Professor Wales suddenly said, "In Minis’s narrative, observing history, there are a lot of ancient secrets about the Ancient Gods."
"They revealed themselves outside the Crystal Walls multiple times to display Divine might, projecting their will into the Crystal Wall World, which I can understand... But displaying themselves before the Crystal Wall has a terrifying side effect."
"What side effect?" Black Star responded instinctively.
"Revealing true selves, aren’t they afraid of ambushes from surrounding beings? How do they dare?" Professor Wales chuckled softly, "Isn’t it possible that upon revealing themselves, the corridor would be flooded with people all attacking them?"
All beings here are ever-cautious not to reveal their appearances, merely sending their minions, so why would the Ancient Gods dare?
Black Star was startled and realized something.
The Light Ancient God, Thunderbolt Ancient God, if historical records don’t lie, boldly appearing outside the Crystal Wall, watching the world inside at that time, did they have the guts?
Yes!
They might be stronger, but wasn’t there an equal probability of Ancient Gods of the same level sneak-attacking them? Even if the chance of a random Ancient God passing by was one in a billion, it was highly imprudent.
"..."
Li Qing silently watched from the shadows.
Quite an old man, indeed.
He had found the blind spot!
While Li Qing felt uneasy, sensing some discord had been poked,
Black Star, trying to defend Li Qing, said, "Because such level beings are strong enough? Not afraid of ambushes?"
"That’s impossible!"
Professor Wales immediately countered, "Based on recorded dialogues of the Ancient Gods, many beings exist across the Cosmos on their level, and many Ancient Gods have fallen; there’s certainly none who fear no ambush."
"Moreover, there’s another blind spot to overturn what you said."
"You say Thunderbolt Ancient God, Light Ancient God might be strong enough... But what about Nokron? During its prime, it was probably only near Ancient God.
"Yet, it once lived for a while in the Chaos outside the Crystal Wall in the Martial Middle Thousand World, near the Moon Tree; wasn’t it also unafraid of attack?"
Li Qing’s heart tensed.
Black Star also discovered the blind spot: "Then, what do you mean..."
"Of course, it’s another piece of history that can explain this BUG."
Professor Wales eloquently spoke, his eyes full of confident depth, "Remember what history mentioned? They were travelers in Chaos, wandering in the Chaos Jungle, setting up temporary camps and bonfires."
"Therefore, many Chaotic Regions, when encountering furniture, various mural paintings, and even bizarre items, are their abandoned temporary camps."
Black Star shuddered: You mean?
"Exactly!"
Professor Wales asserted, "The reason they dared reveal their true selves must be the bonfire in camping, dispelling darkness, observing other unobservable beings, protecting the camp!"
"So, please! Black Star!"
"For us to live safely in the corridor, you, a powerful Creator God, must build a bonfire!"
"The bonfire, able to see other unobservable beings, is crucial for us deities traveling the multi-dimensional gaps to establish camps; it’s the only way to survive in this dangerous Multi-Dimensional Crystal Wall Universe!"
