"Victory!" Leon shouted, raising his axe triumphantly.

But before he could bask in his triumph, a massive punch sent him flying, slamming him into the jagged wall of the cave with a bone-shaking crash.@@@@

"Leon!" Roselia yelled as she darted toward him, quickly pulling him out of the crater his body had made in the wall.

"Damn it... I cut off its neck, didn''t I?" Leon groaned, wiping the blood dripping from the corner of his mouth.

"Yes, but look at it!" Roselia said, pointing toward the massive body.

Leon''s eyes widened as he saw the Abomination King''s severed neck pulsating with sickly green veins. The veins extended toward the dismembered head, dragging it back onto its body. In mere moments, the creature was whole again, its glowing eyes now brighter and filled with fury.

"What the...?" Leon''s voice was filled with disbelief as he took in the sight.

"Yep," Roselia said, smacking him lightly on the head. "You forgot to check the Abomination King''s abilities. Probably too distracted by that angel girl."

Leon rubbed the back of his head, a sheepish look on his face. "Ahem, it wasn''t the angel girl—it was the auction..."

Roselia shot him a sarcastic glare. "Yeah, sure. Anyway, focus! This thing has entered its second phase now."

Leon gritted his teeth, trying to recall his studies of the Abomination King from before their descent.

"Second phase?" he asked as the monstrous figure began to morph before their eyes.

"Yes," Roselia explained. "It has three phases. With each one, its size decreases by half, but its agility and power increase by 50%. This thing''s only going to get deadlier!"

"Now it''s just the second phase, there is one more phase left" she added.

Leon stared at the creature as its once-massive form shrank, transforming into a grotesque, sinewy version of itself. Its body was now covered in pulsating pustules, each oozing a dangerous-looking liquid. Its movements were sharper, quicker, and far more menacing.

"Great, now it''s smaller, faster, and even uglier," Leon muttered, gripping his axe tighter.

Roselia prepared her blades, her stance low and ready. "Let''s just kill it."

The Abomination King let out a guttural roar and charged at them with blinding speed. As Leon and Roselia braced for the next wave of the fight, the tension in the air was palpable. This wasn''t over—not by a long shot.

Leon sidestepped the Abomination King''s initial charge, the sheer force of its movement kicking up debris from the cave floor. He swung his axe in a wide arc, aiming for the creature''s side. The blade connected, but instead of a clean cut, it struck one of the pulsating pustules.

    Pop!

Roselia scoffed while parrying another strike from the creature. "It''s way too wild," she replied, her tone half-joking.

Meanwhile, Leon clenched his fists, channeling his destructive mana to expel the poison from his body. His veins glowed faintly as he endured the searing pain without flinching.

"Yeah, it''s good," Roselia admitted, dodging another attack. "But this thing can only maintain this form for ten minutes. After that, it''ll revert to its oversized ugly self."

Leon nodded. "Ten minutes, huh? I think we''ve had enough fun. Let''s end this."

Roselia grinned. "About time. Show me what you''ve got."

Leon dismissed his axe, a pulse of mana shimmering in its place as he summoned his Arune weapon. Golden runes appeared around him, glowing ominously as the Trident of Destruction materialized in his hands. The black trident, adorned with intricate golden markings, looked like a divine weapon forged for annihilation.

He twirled the trident, its aura crackling with power. "Tandav," he muttered, activating one of his most advanced abilities.

Immediately, Leon began to move with a fluid grace, his feet gliding across the ground as if he were dancing rather than fighting. Every step was deliberate, his strikes with the trident rhythmic yet devastating. He weaved around the Abomination King''s attacks, countering with precision and power that sent shockwaves through the cave.

The Tandava skill, an exclusive ability from his World-Destroying Berserker class, continuously increased his stats by 1% for every second he remained in motion. To maintain the skill, Leon had to keep moving, a challenge he turned into an art form. His movements were hypnotic, resembling an elegant yet destructive dance.

    Clang!

    Clang!

The sound of the trident clashing against the Abomination King''s claws echoed through the cave. Leon''s strikes were relentless, each blow pushing the creature back despite its monstrous strength. He spun, twirled, and struck with precision, his form radiating confidence.

"It''s like he''s mocking his opponent," Roselia thought, watching Leon''s mesmerizing display. His movements were effortless, his expression calm and focused, as if the Abomination King was nothing more than a minor obstacle in his path.

Even the creature, once dominant, seemed unnerved by Leon''s relentless onslaught. Its once-unstoppable attacks now faltered under the barrage of strikes from the trident.

Leon smirked, his confidence growing as he felt the Tandava''s power build within him. "Let it reach 10%," he thought, spinning the trident in a dazzling display. "Then I''ll release the final step."

The Abomination King roared in fury, launching a desperate attack. Leon sidestepped gracefully, his trident spinning like a cyclone as he retaliated. Each movement was like a symphony of destruction, and Leon was its conductor.

For a moment, Roselia was transfixed. Leon, bathed in the golden light of his runes and the eerie glow of the cave, looked less like a man and more like a god of war, completely in control.

The battle was nearing its climax, and the Abomination King was running out of time.

    7%

    Clang! Burst!

    9%

Leon continued his relentless assault, unleashing strike after strike with his trident. Every movement was deliberate, aimed at building his stats to the critical 10% mark before releasing one of the two devastating skills available under the Tandava ability.
