Yasmin barely kept her eyes on the arena. Lucian was fighting another opponent and was making Wisteria angry by trying to convince his opponent that they didn't need to kill each other. His opponent, who was too afraid of Wisteria, didn't listen to him and kept fighting Lucian with all her strength. Yasmin's eyes nervously went between the arena and Ursula, Gaia's mother, whom she had been avoiding for days.

Ursula called out to Yasmin, but she won't answer; she leaves her seat and shuffles herself between people while throwing out apologies in order to get to Yasmin.

Yasmin tensed as Ursula sat down next to her and gave her a friendly smile. "My daughter is still at your house?" She asked.

Yasmin gave a stiff nod; she pretended to be engrossed in Lucian's fight.

"Gaia has a short temper. I'm sorry if she offended you in any way while staying at your place." Ursula said, "I wonder what I did to her that made her choose to avoid me for days." She said in a worried tone. "Maybe it's because the humans in our custody ran away after gaining their sanity. I shouldn't have been careless with the gem the chief gave me; now I'm too ashamed to ask her for another one." She cast her gaze down.

Yasmin glanced at Ursula; she couldn't lie that Gaia wasn't in her house, because there were others in the village who had seen Gaia going into her house in a bad mood. "Don't worry, Gaia has been on her best behavior." She lied. Her voice wavered and came out almost a whisper. Yasmin clears her throat. "If you want humans, I can give you the ones in my custody." She said kindly, feeling like it was the least she could do after the crime she had committed.

Ursula shakes her head. "The chief intends on collecting every human she has given to us, making them join the fight."

"Rig… right." Yasmin stutters. Feeling silly for forgetting Wisteria orders.

"Please, is it possible for me to…" Ursula hesitated. "Can I please see Gaia?" She stated again, "I know she must have said that she doesn't want to see me."

"No!" Yasmin gave a sharp reply that came out too loud, grabbing the attention and scowls of those sitting around them. "I mean, you can see her about the fight for today being over; in the meantime, let's just watch."

"This is the last fight for today. It's over; the chief's son wins." Ursula looked at the arena. Lucian jumped and gave a round kick to the girl he was fighting. Just as before, he refused to kill his opponent, to Wisteria's disappointment.

Ursula smiled at the thought that her chief son was kind, but he was making Wisteria too angry, and that wasn't going to end well for him.

"How did you know that he was going to win?" Yasmin has been so focused on her problems and on trying to avoid Ursula that she didn't realize it was the last fight for the day.

"He's obviously stronger than the girl he was fighting with." Ursula grabs Yasmin's arm, dragging her to her feet with a smile. "Let's go. I want to see Gaia; I can't wait."

"She is sleeping." Yasmin's voice shakes in fear; she is nervous. Ursula had a great perspective, better than her own. Yasmin thought that if she ended up in a fight against Ursula, it would attract too much attention, which would in turn reveal the secret she was trying to hide.

"What room is she in?" Ursula asked, stepping into Yasmin's home. "I will just take a look at her and leave."

With a shaky hand, Yasmin pointed to the room that held Gaia's dead body. She followed closely behind Ursula. "I'm sorry." Yasmin jumped and copied Lucian's last move that he had used in defeating his opponent; like many others in the village, she wasn't a fighter but had learned so much just from watching others during their fight. Yasmin's kick didn't carry the same powerful force Lucian's own did, but it was enough to make Ursula fall down.

Quickly, Yasmin closed the door and used a spell to make it unbreakable. She cast another enchantment in fast motion to conceal Ursula's voice and strengthen the walls so that Ursula couldn't use her beast form to escape.

"What am I doing?" Yasmin asked herself, tears filling her eyes as her back hopelessly slid down the door utill she hit the floor. "No one will ever forgive me. The chief isn't going to believe me and think that I killed Gaia." She didn't understand how her carefree life became a mess, but each time she thought of it, one human came to mind. Reed. It made her believe that humans from another world are evil, more wicked than the ones from her world. 'The only way Gaia's soul is ever going to forgive me is if I get rid of her true murderer.' Yasmin thought.

"Are you sure that this dungeon king exists?" A guard asked.

"The chief won't be pleased to know that we failed again."

"We did our best; let's make the report for today."

A few female guards said among themselves. Lucian was about to be dragged to his cell along with the others when he overheard them. He pushed the guard holding him away and ran to where Wisteria could notice him. He couldn't climb over the huge wall separating the arena from Wisteria and the crowd, but as long as he had her attention, it was enough.

Wisteria dismissed the guards chasing after Lucian when she saw that he had something to say.

"You are searching for the dungeon king?" Lucian asked, happy that she was doing exactly what he wanted her to do.

Wisteria frowns as she remembers her previous encounters with what could possibly be a demon that left her trembling in fear. She has yet to tell her people about her experience and the death of her sisters who were with her. Wisteria went back for their bodies and got rid of them; that way, no one in the village will ever know that it was possible for them to die.

"Take him back to his cell." Wisteria ordered in a vexed tone.

Lucian snorted and followed the guards peacefully with a wide grin on his face.
