Lin Feng shook his head, feeling somewhat speechless. He took the opportunity to call home and check on the babies.

Zhao Lizhen answered with a smile. "You and Yu Xi just have fun. We've got the kids!"

Through the phone, Lin Feng could hear the children's voices and the chirping of chicks; they were probably playing with them again.

"Did they ask about us?"

Lin Feng walked over and took the towel from her. "I was calling Mom to ask about the kids. She said they mentioned us this morning, but now they're completely absorbed in their play."

Zhang Yuxi detected a hint of sourness in his tone. "They're just kids. Don't hold it against them! Who knows, they might be wailing for us in a little while!"

She took him at his word.

After Lin Feng took his shower, the two of them went to the hot springs. Zhang Yuxi was still quite shy, but Lin Feng only watched her tenderly, beckoning her over.

"Yu Xi, come on in!"

Lin Feng tidied himself up and got out of bed. "Shall we go to the dining hall for dinner?"

"I don't feel like moving, honey…" Zhang Yuxi whined. After a moment's thought, she playfully pounded her little fists against the culprit before her. "It's all your fault!"

"My fault for what?"

Zhang Yuxi was smarter now and wasn't about to fall for that verbal trap. With a light huff, she said, "I'm not talking to you anymore!"

After they snuggled for a bit, Lin Feng casually asked, "Honey, why did you lock the door?"

Zhang Yuxi was surprised for the third time. "Honey, are you still hung up on that?"

A hint of melancholy touched Lin Feng's brow. "Because I can't understand why my cute and beautiful wife would make up an excuse to brush me off! It's not a big deal, is it? Or is it that my wife has little secrets she's not telling me?"

Zhang Yuxi quickly explained, "Honey, it's because I had to use the toilet!"

Lin Feng was slightly surprised. "Use the toilet?"

Their plan to leave around six o'clock was now delayed until eight. Dragging her exhausted body, Zhang Yuxi followed Lin Feng, her legs trembling.

The restaurant was a buffet, filled with an array of specialty foods. Lin Feng sat down, leaning back in his chair to recuperate.

An older woman approached with a concerned look. "Young lady? Are you alright? Did you soak for too long and now you're not feeling well?"

Faced with the kind woman's concern, she had no choice but to lie. "Yes, a little too long. I'll feel better if I sit for a bit and then get something to eat. Thank you for your concern, ma'am!"

The woman nodded. "Be more careful next time. If you feel unwell, you shouldn't soak."

Zhang Yuxi gave an obedient "mhm" in response. What else could she say?

Lin Feng returned with a tray of food. "What were you two talking about?"

Zhang Yuxi gave a dry laugh, puffing her cheeks out in silent anger. When their second baby got angry, he was just like her.

Afterward, Zhang Yuxi ignored Lin Feng, so he sat down beside her and began coaxing her softly. When it comes to pacifying babies, I'm an expert!

"Honey, please don't be angry, okay?" Lin Feng soothed. "I got a little carried away this time. It won't happen again. Don't be angry."

After dinner, Lin Feng took Zhang Yuxi's hand for a walk around the hotel. The hotel had private KTV rooms and mini karaoke booths in the lounge. These were the two-person booths with excellent soundproofing, where you could pay by scanning a code to select songs. Seeing that many were empty, Lin Feng led Zhang Yuxi into one.

"Come on, let's sing a few."

Lin Feng paid for fifteen minutes. The couple put on their headphones and picked up the microphones. The last time they'd sung a duet was back in Plum City. It felt like a lifetime ago! Lin Feng was fluent in several languages, so he could handle a wide variety of songs with ease. Zhang Yuxi was more of a novice, but she could carry a tune just fine.

Old songs, current pop hits, children's songs… They sang their way through almost every song they knew from the playlist. Smiles never left their faces as they gazed affectionately at each other. When their time was up, they weren't ready to stop, so they paid for another ten minutes.

Coming out of the mini KTV booth, they both felt energized. They headed to the rec room and played with all the different games and equipment available. Most of the time, it was Zhang Yuxi who was running wild like a child who never grew up, while Lin Feng simply stood by, watching her laugh and play.

Once they had played their fill, Zhang Yuxi collapsed onto the bed and fell asleep.

In the middle of the night, they shared another round of intimacy that left Zhang Yuxi utterly exhausted. In a daze, she thought she might have even cried, muttering that Lin Feng was a bad man. A very, very bad man.
