Just then, the manager came over and told Wang Yao to get downstairs.

Zhang Yuxi said coolly, "That won't be necessary. I want *her* to serve me. And by the way, close the store. I want a private appointment."

Everyone gasped, and even Wang Yao's expression changed. The manager, momentarily startled, recovered with a smile. "Of course. Please show me your membership."

Zhang Yuxi simply stated her name. After a moment of checking, an employee on the other end gave the manager a nod. The manager immediately turned to the other customers. "My sincerest apologies, everyone, but the store will be closing for a private appointment…"

They had no choice but to leave, shooting envious glances as they went. Their minds filled with all sorts of dramatic catfights straight out of a TV show.

An Lan was largely to thank for Zhang Yuxi's transformation. Believing France was the most romantic place on earth, An Lan had learned French and traveled there, hoping for a fated encounter. For a time, she also became obsessed with Louis Vuitton, an enthusiasm that eventually rubbed off on Zhang Yuxi. This led to a crazy buying spree, and as a result... all those handbags, the limited editions and classic models, ended up being used by An Lan's mother. She was quite delighted, feeling her taste was now on par with the younger generation.

After the store was cleared, Zhang Yuxi sat on the sofa like a queen. She turned to Lin Feng, her expression softening as she spoke in a sweet, coquettish tone. "Honey, you'll have to be patient with me for a little while!"

Lin Feng simply waved it off. "No rush. Take your time. If you like something, buy it."

Zhang Yuxi gave a faint smile, her gaze shifting back to Wang Yao. "Bring out all of this year's new models," she said indifferently. "Let me see everything."

Wang Yao bit her lip, seething but not daring to show it. "Yes!" With a client of Zhang Yuxi's membership level, she couldn't afford any slights or delays.

"And get me a glass of red wine, please," Zhang Yuxi added elegantly. An employee immediately went to fetch it.

Zhang Yuxi swirled the red wine in her glass, her face devoid of expression as she listened to Wang Yao's presentation. As she listened, however, her brow furrowed. "I must say, Ms. Wang, your product knowledge seems rather weak. Didn't you claim to love LV? How can your description of a handbag be so incoherent?"

Wang Yao was convinced Zhang Yuxi was doing this on purpose. She retorted with a smile that didn't reach her eyes, "And what part of my introduction was wrong, might I ask?"

The store manager shot her a glare. "Is that how you speak to a customer?" As the manager, she was well aware that Wang Yao's expertise was lacking. The girl had only just started, after all!

In the next moment, Zhang Yuxi completely dismantled Wang Yao's presentation with her own expert knowledge, leaving the saleswoman flushed with embarrassment and glaring daggers at her.

Zhang Yuxi's expression turned icy. "What is the meaning of this? Are you giving a customer attitude?"

Just as Wang Yao was about to snap back, the manager gave her a sharp tug, pulling her back while apologizing profusely to Zhang Yuxi.

Zhang Yuxi waved a dismissive hand. "Forget it. Just have her stand aside and watch. Get someone with more expertise to take over."

The manager hurriedly told Wang Yao to stay out of the way and not cause any more trouble. Seriously, what a nuisance!

As soon as the new salesperson began to speak, it was clear she was a true professional. Zhang Yuxi was very satisfied, eventually buying four handbags: two for Zhao Lizhen, and the other two for An Lan and her mother.

Lin Feng, meanwhile, had spotted a very cute little handbag and gestured for the staff to bring it over. "Honey, do you like this one? I think it would suit you."

Zhang Yuxi took it and smiled. "Honey, you have great taste. I love it!"

The manager quickly chimed in, explaining it was a limited edition. They had only managed to acquire one because of their store's excellent sales performance. Of course, it also came with a hefty price tag.

"Wrap this one up for me, too!" Zhang Yuxi said with a smile. The manager beamed and went to handle it personally. Although the store primarily sold handbags, it also carried a selection of matching jewelry and accessories.

Just then, Lin Feng's phone rang. It was his mother, Zhao Lizhen.

"Mom?" he answered. "Yeah, Yuxi and I will probably be back tomorrow. That's right."

He softened his voice. "Si Bao, you miss Daddy? Mommy and Daddy will be back tomorrow, so you all need to be good at home, okay? I know, Daddy will definitely bring you all gifts! San Bao? There, there, don't cry. You just have to go to sleep tonight, and you'll see Mommy and Daddy when you wake up in the morning! There, there, don't cry. Daddy sends a kiss! Ah, you want to talk to Mommy? Okay, I'll pass her the phone."

Only then did the staff realize that Lin Feng and Zhang Yuxi weren't just a couple—they already had children. Wang Yao stood rooted to the spot, completely dumbstruck.

Over the New Year, back in Meicheng, she had asked around about Lin Feng. Since he hadn't kept in touch with their old classmates, few people knew anything about his life. At the time, she'd assumed he must be doing poorly for himself. But now… not only was he rich, he had married a woman beautiful enough to be a goddess. And they even had kids.

On the video call, an impossibly beautiful little girl was wiping tears from her eyes. It was like watching a little fairy cry; it was enough to break your heart.

San Bao sniffled, "Mommy, when are you and Daddy coming back? San Bao misses you so, so, so much!"

Zhang Yuxi's voice was gentle. "Don't cry, San Bao. Mommy and Daddy will be home tonight!"

With teardrops still clinging to her lashes, San Bao said, "But Daddy said you could only come back tomorrow!"

Lin Feng leaned in to soothe his darling daughter. "It's alright. Daddy will go buy a car in a bit, and we'll drive straight back, how about that?"

San Bao finally smiled. "Okay! Then San Bao will wait at home for Mommy and Daddy!"

She turned away from the screen and announced to the others, "Mommy and Daddy said they're coming home tonight!"

In a flash, all the other children swarmed around the phone.

Si Bao rushed to say, "Daddy, Daddy, don't forget my Ultraman! Heart, heart!" he added, making a little finger heart.

Er Bao said sweetly, "Er Bao doesn't need anything. I'll be happiest just to have Mommy and Daddy back!"

Da Bao squeezed his way in. "Daddy, Mommy, Da Bao wants a Transformer! I'll be waiting for you, Mommy and Daddy!"

Zhang Yuxi felt a wave of warmth and emotion. "Mm-hmm, Mommy and Daddy will be home tonight."

San Bao clutched the phone. Her older siblings were all very protective of their little sister and didn't try to snatch it from her.

"Mommy, what's a hot spring?" San Bao asked. "I heard Godmother say you went to play in one…"

Zhang Yuxi's expression immediately turned stern. "Don't listen to your godmother's nonsense. Mommy and Daddy were busy with work. Alright, I can't talk any longer, sweethearts. Mommy has to get back to what she's doing."

"Okay, bye Mommy, bye Daddy!"

"Goodbye, sweethearts!"

The staff was stunned. Four babies? Four children had appeared on the screen, clearly quadruplets. Each one so adorable and beautiful… This woman was an absolute winner at life!

Zhang Yuxi hung up the phone and said anxiously, "Honey, let's finish up and go. The kids are getting impatient."

That was exactly what Lin Feng was thinking.

Looking completely lost, Wang Yao asked Lin Feng, as if unable to accept the reality before her, "Lin Feng, you… you're married? And… you have children?"

The man she'd dumped was this happy! Why? If she had known back then, she never would have broken up with him! She could have had this kind of happiness too, couldn't she?

Zhang Yuxi raised an eyebrow, catching the clear implication in the woman's tone. What, did she think she still had a chance just because he might not have been married or had kids? Dream on!
