CHAPTER 24: ZARYNTH 3: MY VAMPIRE PERSONALITY GOT OBLITERATED

"Go... just as we planned." Allen smirked, a twisted grin etched across his face.

Lying strengthless on the blood-soaked ground, the elders stared up at Allen with dimming eyes. Though weak, a flicker of resolve remained. "At least he’ll buy us time to say our last prayers," Cealin thought, his bones broken, his skin bruised, and the ground beneath him a crimson pond.

"Before we start this..." Zarynth said coldly, still in his fighting stance. The black aura around him veiled the moonlight, its pressure snuffing life from even the grass beneath his feet. "Tell me, what species are you?"

Allen’s eyes were dark, his grin wide. He could feel the pressure—its weight crushing, suffocating—but his confidence eclipsed any threat. ’Whatever I do, I must not engage. I can’t waste any aura.’

Natasha stood behind him, eyes fixed on Zarynth, her mind calculating. Her hands rested behind her back but with purpose. If he suspects a thing, I’m gone, she thought cautiously.

Behind her, her hands split apart, reshaping into mini humanoids—faceless stick-like figures with fluid skin, numbering seven. Her ability, Undeadflux, allowed her to do so.

They scattered, small and unnoticeable, to the various fallen elders, drawing notes in the soil by Natasha’s will.

Kelion, though unharmed, sat trembling. His hand gently wrapped around his crotch, trying to pet the pain away. His heart thundered, fear choking him.

He raised his head as one of Natasha’s stick-like creations touched him. Its presence radiated elven aura, and his awe deepened.

It immediately began pulling up grass in a particular spot, leaving a message etched into the earth with its stil like finger.

Allen wants us to hold the monster back? Why... he doesn’t even need to run, Kelion thought. His eyes scanned the ruined arena. He shook his head in despair as dread clung to him like a shadow. It’s either we give him a chance, or we all rot in hell.

In a distant corner, where Thalvron and Lilith stood, another segment of Natasha’s hand dropped a note written in the soil.

"Allen wants us to take shade," Thalvron whispered. He read the inscription with a furrowed brow. "Let’s move... If the young master says so, he must have his reasons."

Lilith remained silent, dread pressing down on her like a leaden blanket. "Yes," she finally said, swallowing hard. "Let’s go."

"Like I said," Allen smirked, stepping forward, "I’m not here to chat." His voice was cold and unwavering, laced with authority.

Zarynth’s grin vanished. His tail flickered with danger, his eyes burning with rage. He lunged at Allen with monstrous speed and power. "Then I’ll kill you and name your corpse myself!"

BOOM!

Zarynth’s fist didn’t reach Allen—it collided with Kelion’s, shrouded in hardened earth. Kelion stood firm like a shield between Allen and Zarynth, eyes dark with grim resolve.

"Get out of my way!" Zarynth roared, his tail swinging with blade-like intent.

CLANG!

It was deflected again, this time by Amaterasu—bleeding, pierced, but determined. Her blade trembled in her grasp, but anger glinted in her gaze.

"What is this madness?!" Zarynth roared, scanning the battlefield. Elders were rising from the ground one by one—except for Maxen, who had already passed into the afterlife.

"I’ll support too," Elara said with a smirk, taking a battle stance. She manipulated the earth, her gestures commanding the ground. Hardened soil crept up Zarynth’s legs like shackles, pinning him in place.

"Good... good," Allen whispered, his grin widening. "Now it’s my turn... I better not die."

He dropped low, palms pressed into the earth.

[Ability Level: 3 Upper] [Awaiting Command...]

Allen stared at the sky, calculating the position of the full moon, hidden behind the clouds. It’s already past its center alignment... In that case—

He took a deep breath.

"REDO."

[Activating Level 2 Lower Cursed Word] [Command Received – Target: Time on Planet Earth]

[Warning: Target is vast—]

"I don’t care about the consequences! Just do it!" Allen roared, cutting off the system.

[Command Executed] [Duration: 2 hours ahead]

Time warped. The earth skipped forward two hours in a second. Its rotation became visible, disrupting natural balance. Elara staggered under the shift.

"What...?" Zarynth’s eyes widened. Realization dawned. "Curse you all!" He bolted toward the high walls.

ZAP!

Lightning crashed onto him, exploding beneath his feet.

Cealin stood, wind whirling around him, blood trailing down his face.

"You killed Maxen..." he growled, summoning a furious storm.

Allen collapsed, blood dripping from his mouth. His limbs trembled. "It’s not over... time only moved from 2:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m.," he gasped.

Struggling, he resumed the cat stance.

"REDO."

[Command Executed] [Duration: 2 hours ahead]

The cold vanished, replaced by early morning warmth. Oceans trembled. Time leaped to 6:00 a.m.

Zarynth’s retreat became desperate. The rising sun began to scorch his flesh.

"Unbelievable..." Kelion whispered, watching Allen’s bloodied, broken body. "He’s actually moving the cosmic wheel... I underestimated him."

"Get out of my way!" Zarynth howled, pushing through Cealin’s raging winds.

Kelion charged like a giant, aiming to pin him. SLASH! Zarynth’s tail severed Kelion’s right arm.

"Arghh!" Kelion cried but pressed on, grabbing Zarynth’s tail with his remaining hand.

"Stubborn insect..." Zarynth hissed. He turned and stabbed Kelion straight through the chest, his hand protruding from the king’s back.

Kelion grunted, blood spilling from his mouth. "You’re not... going anywhere."

"My king!" Amaterasu, Natasha, and Elara cried, charging in.

Amaterasu gripped Zarynth’s other arm, weighing him down. Elara stomped the ground, rock armor engulfing his legs. Cealin’s storm never ceased.

Natasha dashed in, transforming into liquid. She coated Zarynth like radiant water, binding him tightly.

"Do something, Allen!" Elara screamed as she wrapped herself around Zarynth’s tail.

"REDO!" Allen finally roared, blood pouring from his nose and mouth.

[Command Executed] [Duration: 2 hours ahead]

The golden smile of the 8:00 a.m. sun bathed the arena.

Everyone fell back.

Zarynth was left exposed.

SKREEEE!

He screamed, rolling on the ground as divine fire seemed to devour him. His dense skin blackened and flaked into ash.

"ARGHHH... curse you all!" he cried as his body began to morph, growing larger, grotesque—bigger than a bus. His five personalities scrambled, tearing the shared body apart.

Then—

BOOM!

The ground split. Winds exploded. The sky thundered.

And the arena descended into chaos.

The aftermath was shocking.

Four beings now stood where one once did. The first—a pureblood human—possessed flawless human features, a golden aura shimmering around his body like divine fire. Although aged like a 15year old child.

The second had green skin and elongated ears—not elven, but sharp and pointed. He was a pureblood goblin, cloaked in an eerie green aura.

The third, a muscular male with two thick horns jutting from his forehead, radiated crimson power. A pureblood demon—brutal and proud.

The fourth was animalistic, standing nearly seven feet tall. His limbs were long, legs bent like those of a predator. Yellow eyes burned in his beastlike face, a jagged snout filled with wet, crooked teeth. His skin was dark grey, and a thick tail extended from his hip bones like a living whip.

The fifth personality—the vampire—was gone, completely obliterated. Reduced to black ash by mere seconds beneath the sun’s gaze.

"Clever boy," Kelion smirked, glancing at Allen. Despite the pain and wounds painting his body in both regality and violence, he seemed almost impressed.

All the personalities turned tail, sprinting toward the high walls. The werewolf figure snarled back at them, voice guttural and cold. "We’ll be back."

"What...? They’re running?" Amaterasu rasped, torn between relief and disbelief.

"You should be grateful," Cealin muttered, collapsing to his knees in exhaustion.

"No..." Elara suddenly cried out. Her real eyes were shut tight, but her third—her Ominisight—stood wide open on her forehead, glowing ominously.

"They’re not running. They’re being called."

"By who?" Kelion demanded, dread clawing at his voice. Is there an authority even higher than him? he thought as he clutched his severed shoulder.

"It’s a voice from the dungeon... a voice behind a chained door, cursed to the very bones of the earth," Elara whispered, her lips curling into a grim smile.

"What?" Amaterasu gasped, recalling Allen’s warning during the secret meeting days before. "What’s behind the door?"

"I don’t know. But it’s something far worse."

"Let it be," Kelion commanded, his voice stern. "If we pursue, we walk straight into death."

His eyes swept across the battlefield—the scorched earth, the shattered terrain, blood soaked deep into the soil. The lifeless body of Maxen lay cold, his head detached and his eyes frozen open in death. His comrades were wounded, some barely conscious. Allen lay collapsed in the center, mouth slick with blood, body trembling in unconscious pain.

"Let that be a story for another day."
