CHAPTER 50: A’S ENDGANE 4 (RED, RED, THEN WHITE)

But it was only the beginning.

"What’s it? You can’t fight me head-on, Hadas? What happened to your thirty-second bluff?" Allen taunted, standing far behind Hadas.

It might become an endless battle, since both were immortals—and Hadas seemed to have no weakness apart from his hunger for his one delicacy, which he was presently receiving in abundance.

"Don’t dare me," Hadas smirked as he turned, taking a step forward, his black garments swirling in accordance.

"Now you’ve left the same spot you vowed never to leave," Allen remarked with a sly grin, the air thick like fog, heavy with dark aura under the moonlight.

"Devils never vow. The fact that you’re still living is only because I enjoy your company," Hadas grinned, his tone soaked with malice.

"Enjoy it while it lasts...!" Allen snarled as he charged in with lightning speed, forming two blades of pure electricity in his grip. I can’t lose to him, else... he thought, his mind flashing to the shattered state of the werewolf clan. I need to get closer for my sealing plan. But I only have one chance—and if I lose, that move might never work again. He whispered this to himself as he darted past the wind, leaving cracks in the ground beneath his feet.

"Ohhh... flashing lightning. You want to play a red game?" Hadas smirked, clapping wickedly as he planted his feet firmly on the ground, a dangerous smile stretched across his face, eyes wide with cruel delight. "Those are my favorite... let’s play."

Hadas raised a finger as if conducting a choir, and from beneath Allen, hot lava gushed upward like a volcano erupting in fury.

"Tch..." Allen hissed as his footing grew unsteady, his body arching back to dodge the oppressive attack.

The lava hissed as it touched the surface, rising in steaming clouds like burning incense. The heat broke bonds in the very air, making it thick, suffocating, and almost impossible to breathe.

Allen pushed forward, continuing his charge toward Hadas, but every step he took was met with more lava, the ground erupting violently. With his lightning speed, he evaded, darting unpredictably to avoid both Hadas’s predictions and the scalding molten rock.

Closer! Allen roared in his thoughts as he burst through another volcanic eruption. He risked a glance back at the rebirthed terrain, riddled with steaming pits and boiling magma—a terrifying sight. But still, he pressed forward.

"Eat this," Allen smirked, flinging one of his lightning blades at Hadas.

But Hadas didn’t dodge. He was too proud a god to do that.

He caught it while smiling wide, standing unmoving. Compressing the lightning in his grip until it decayed into nothing, he stretched out his palm, dark smoke rising from it as his injured flesh regenerated instantly.

But Allen had gotten what he needed—time.

He lunged with a lightning-charged kick straight to Hadas’s left limb. I can’t execute my plan now... I need to know all the tricks he has up his sleeve, Allen thought, pivoting for another strike aimed at Hadas’s face.

But his hand fell into a dark dimension Hadas had opened casually, smiling all the while as if to emphasize his dominance.

Allen yanked back instantly—only to find his hand severed, steam rising from it though no pain of any cut was felt.

"Maw of Many," Hadas smirked, looking down at Allen as if towering over him in every way. "Whatever goes in never comes out."

Allen retreated, lungs burning from lack of oxygen, stamina draining rapidly.

But his hand regenerated, and he immediately resumed a confident stance. He wasn’t giving up. Not now. Not ever. Not when all those he loved were still fighting battles, risking their lives for his cause.

"Shall we start?" Allen smirked again, this time his entire body shrouded in lightning, his eyes glowing pure white.

[Reaching Deity-Ranked Limits]

His system’s voice echoed ahead of him. It’s a good thing, Allen thought with a grin. Soon enough I’ll be saying hello to Lower God level.

Then he charged forward—not just him, but countless red lightning bolts roaring down from the sky, striking at Hadas.

For the first time, Hadas moved, his limbs shifting—but even so, his fingers never stopped conducting rivers of molten chaos below Allen.

Allen strained against the lava eruptions that tried to hold him back, while the storm clouds above seemed to roar in rage, birthing one red bolt after another.

Elsewhere—precisely, Olympus.

At its peak.

"No. No. Not anymore."

Zeus rose from his throne—crafted from the bones of titans—in absolute fury, flinging Hera’s hand away.

His golden crown sat crooked, as if reflecting the madness the past hours had instilled in him. His sculpted body gleamed with a divine luster, but the frown carved into his face radiated anger.

Completely humanoid in shape—but unmistakably a god. One of the highest ranking.

"Zeus, please..." Hera pleaded, though deep inside she knew it was futile. Even the pillars around them seemed to dim under his wrath, and the clouds above mirrored it, storming with unrestrained roars.

"Did you just say please?" Zeus thundered, narrowing his eyes at Hera in a way that made her wish she could shrink into a shell.

"Did you see that boy create beings out of dust—and make them move?" He jabbed a finger at the glass orb before him, an artifact that displayed the mortal plane where Allen fought.

"But—"

"But what..!?" Zeus roared, his voice carrying a wind so forceful it whipped Hera’s hair backward. "Should I sit and watch that mortal I created wield my lightning—and eventually take my throne from me? He created beings, didn’t you see it!?"

Zeus dragged a hand across his face, drawing a deep breath, though it did nothing to quell his fury.

"Or should I wait for Hadas to fulfill his role right under my nose, and then come to take Olympus itself?"

"Impossible!" Zeus roared, seizing his scepter that rested beside his throne. Lightning crackled furiously along its length as he shook it. With no further words, he leapt from Olympus.

Elsewhere—back to Hadas and Allen’s POV.

Allen rose into the air, lightning crackling beneath him, well beyond the reach of Hadas’s lava eruptions. His body was completely cloaked in light, his eyes glowing with the aura of a demigod.

"You want to fly? ... Then let’s fly!" Hadas bellowed, levitating effortlessly—no wings, no boost—just pure godhood.

Both charged, hands shaped like blades, closing the space between them.

’This is it’, Allen thought. Sacrifice my clone. ’Make him think he killed me—and then seal him.’

Time seemed to slow as their eyes locked, both aiming straight for what would be mortal vital points.

But then the wind shifted.

White lightning tore through the sky, striking between them and forcing both to recoil, shock flashing across their gazes.

"I am Zeus."

The voice resonated from above.
