My Core is the Boss
Chapter 60: They Are Starting To Speak Strangely
CHAPTER 60: THEY ARE STARTING TO SPEAK STRANGELY
Some mighty experts skilled in divination had burned their lifespan to glimpse the Demon-Slaying Assembly's future. The result was certain death. There wasn't a glimmer of hope to be seen, not even a chance of survival.
Even so, the experts still gathered together, united as one. If no road to life existed, they'd carve one out with blood!
However, Tang Yan'd just witnessed a peerless prodigy, whose talent far surpassed even the Celestial God, emerged before the world. What was this if not heaven's mercy?
The other three were also moved. Even they knew what Perfect Five Elements meant. It meant that the Garment Division Master had a chance to surpass even the Celestial God—a chance to oppose the alien demons.
Perhaps the Demon-Slaying Assembly was no longer marching to certain death. The certainty of death could drop from a hundred percent to ninety.
Tang Yan said coldly, "We must report this to Feather and Dragon Judge!"
He then sent a message on what they discovered today to the outside.

Dozens of coffins lay in silence in the valleys of the Five Elements Forbidden Zone.
Suddenly, the lid of the central coffin was pushed open. An androgynous man of striking beauty sat up, draped in feathered robes. He was Feather, one of the two Peak Divine Realm experts of the Five Elements Forbidden Zone.
He looked toward the other coffins, his expression calm as still water. Moments later, the other coffins began to open as well.
The burly man stood up and spat a thick wad of phlegm. "Lord Feather, didn't we just hold a meeting? Why did you rouse us again?"
A seemingly half-asleep old man muttered, "Is it time for the Demon-Slaying Assembly...?"
The other experts looked at Feather in puzzlement. WIth only three hundred years left before the Demon-Slaying Assembly, they wouldn't have been awakened unless there was something important.
Feather said softly, "Do you still remember the Garment Division Master from some days ago?"
The burly man asked curiously, "What about him?"
The others exchanged glances. Did Feather wake them because of the Garment Division Master? Could he truly be a spy for the alien demons?
Feather explained calmly, "I received news from Tang Yan. Apparently, the Garment Division Master possesses the highest-level water affinity, even stronger than his own."
A Divine Giant realm expert sighed. "Stronger than Tang Yan? His talent must be supreme indeed. Given a thousand years, he might even become a new Celestial God. What a pity."
"How much stronger?" another asked.
Feather said casually, "He could draw a thread of Water Essence Qi from each Water Soul."
Silence filled the area.
After more than ten seconds, the burly man finally mustered some words, "Does that mean he can achieve Perfect Water Essence in a month?"
One couldn't even call that an exaggeration! Who in history had ever achieved the Perfect Water Essence in a month?! He could achieve in a month what took others millennia? The gap was too great! Unbelievable!
If Qi Yuan had heard their thoughts, he'd have said, "The gap isn't so bad... Just the difference between an ordinary salaryman and a celebrity earning 2.08 million a day."
Feather said softly, though everyone could sense his joy, "Above all, his other four attributes are also just as great."
All the experts present were shaken to the core.
"What? All five attributes at the highest level?!"
"Is he even human?!"
"Damn it!"
Their composure as Peak Divine realm cultivators had completely vanished. The coffin-ground was now as noisy as a marketplace. Every one of them understood what Perfect Five Elements meant: the Garment Division Master could break all shackles and achieve more than even the Celestial God.
Someone sighed faintly. "It's a pity that we only have three hundred years left..."
The other Divine realm experts also turned bitter. Although the Garment Division Master's talent surpassed even the Celestial god's, he'd just stepped into the Divine realm. Three hundred years wasn't nearly enough to stabilize his foundation, let alone advance it.
"No, we still have three hundred years." Feather's voice was soft, but unshakably firm. "Now that the Garment Division Master is here, we should be thinking of how to break this deadlock!"
If the Demon-Slaying Assembly was doomed regardless, they'd pay any price for even a ten percent chance at survival!
At first, they hid in forbidden zones, resisting the alien demons only to save their own skins. Humans were selfish, especially these old ones, who'd lived so long. Later on, resisting the alien demons eventually became a mission—an obsession. To say they fought for all living beings under heavens sounded lofty, but it wasn't far from the truth.
Softly, Feather sighed. "I propose Divine Reflection."
The place went silent, and not even a single breathing could be heard. The fall of a single needle would've echoed.
Divine Reflection was a secret art of Divine realm cultivators, allowing them to etch every insight and memory into another's soul without reserve. But it drained vital essence, demanding a century of recovery, so few ever used it unless death was near.
Feather's gaze swept coldly across them. For the first time, his voice was domineering and harsh. "I will kill whoever dares to refuse!"
"I have no objection!"
"Me neither!"
"Haha! I'll do anything as long as it kills those fucking alien demons!" [1]
The Divine realm experts all laughed.
Feather looked at them and said gently, "I must trouble you all."
Then, the burly man asked, "Where is Lord Dragon Judge? Why is his coffin empty?"
Feather glanced toward the direction of the Yinyang Forbidden Zone. "He entered the Yinyang Forbidden Zone to persuade them to bestow Divine Reflection upon the Garment Division Master. But the people there aren't easy to deal with..."
Hiss!
The crowd all sucked in a breath of cold air.
The silent bearded man, Dragon Judge, went to persuade? More like a fight until they yielded! It seemed both Dragon Judge and Feather were determined to ensure the Garment Division Master grew quickly.
At that moment, the space within the Five Elements Forbidden Zone rippled. Dragon Judge had returned, blood dripping from his left sleeve.
He looked at the crowd and grinned. "The people of the Yinyang Forbidden Zone have agreed."
No one spoke. All eyes fell on his bleeding arm. Dragon Judge was so strong, he'd never suffered defeat in his life. Well, except against the Celestial God, who'd merged with the Wedding Garment Empress. For him to be injured now spoke volumes of how fierce and brutal the battle with the Yinyang Forbidden Zone's experts had been.
"They've been in the Yinyang Forbidden Zone for too long. Even their speech has become strange. A fight was inevitable," said Dragon Judge calmly, before recalling something. "Still, they are our allies. I couldn't go too far. They set one condition: the Garment Division Master must defeat Flower Burial Fairy. Only then will they grant Divine Reflection."
Then, he returned to his coffin, lay down, and pulled the lid shut. The others all pulled their lids shut as well.
Silence returned.
Not far away, Little Green squatted, hugging her shoulders while trembling silently. Just then, the Water Ancestor appeared, gently patting the girl's head in silence.
The girl wept for a long time before lifting her head. Her eyes were tearful and bloodshot, yet filled with stubborn defiance. "Water Ancestor, why does it have to be this way?"
Water Ancestor smiled gently. "We won't vanish, child. We'll only exist in another form within this world."
The girl clung to her, tears still falling despite herself. "Water Ancestor..."
For the Garment Division Master to reach Perfect Five Elements meant he'd take control of the Five Elements Forbidden Zone.

Qi Yuan left the core grounds. Staring at the four people in the distance, he smiled. "You're quite thoughtful."
He'd noticed them during the battle, and simply ignored them. Now that he was about to log off, he thought to greet them, only to find that they'd trapped several escaping souls. Not many, just a few dozen. For some reason, they were baring fangs and claws at the red-robed man, as though they wanted to tear him to pieces.
"Garment Division Master, please comprehend them," said Tang Yan.
They'd captured the fleeing souls to help the Garment Division Master strengthen himself. To them, it was a worthy deed.
Raising his sword, Qi Yuan effortlessly cut down the souls. He gained more experience and essence from the five elements. Even after today's slaughter, he would still need half a month to attain the Perfect Five Elements, which troubled him a bit.
Noticing his expression, Tang Yan inquired, "Garment Division Master, what weighs on your mind? We are willing to resolve it for you."
He was willing to take the initiative to strengthen the alliance.
Qi Yuan sighed in genuine dissatisfaction. "Haa... It'll take me half a month to achieve Perfect Five Elements. So slow, right?"
Even though the core grounds was a dungeon within a dungeon within a dungeon, he needed half a month to clear it. Too useless.
He rambled on about how useless he was.
Tang Yan, the bun-haired woman, and Li Qin were utterly speechless.
The red-robed man blurted, "You're really something else!"
He was furious. He thought the Garment Division Master's mouth was gonna be the death of him!
He's still complaining when it'll only take half a month?! For us, each with different elements, it'd take at least three thousand years even after collaborating!
Tang Yan calmed himself. "I will summon others to help. We will restrain the five souls for you to slay."
He didn't even bother saying "comprehend" anymore—just slay. After all, for the Garment Division Master, slaying was comprehension.
"Thank you very much." Qi Yuan thought himself clever for having scooped up a large handful of Five Element Sands earlier. "Here, I found these trinkets in the core grounds. They might be useful to you. Take them."
He tossed the Five Element Sands to the four people. [2]
