My Curse? A Different Yandere in Every Reincarnation
Chapter 233: New Existence
CHAPTER 233: NEW EXISTENCE
"...Where...am I?" I wake up rubbing my eyes, feeling strange. I look around, seeing an enormous white room, like really big. I’m also lying on an absurdly soft bed, which is also very large.
"My...hands are small?" I look at my hands, they’re strangely small for the standard, not a child’s hand, but undoubtedly small and very soft hands.
"..." I get up from the bed, stepping out and looking around this room a wardrobe, a table, chairs, shelves, and a mirror, a very nice and elegant room.
"Is this...me?" I see myself in the mirror, but my appearance is strange, not what I’m used to. Normally it’s a standard pale skin, black hair, equally dark eyes, and a body that’s somewhat provocative.
But the one now is different, it has a cuter and more serene air, while my hair instead of being completely black is full of dark and light green streaks and "flaws".
While one of my eyes is green while the other is black, plus my skin is no longer pale and my size is quite short, probably around 140 to 150 centimeters or so.
"Something...is not right..." I try to remember how I ended up here, but I’m not sure, so I just walk to the door, opening it with some effort because the doorknob is higher than me.
"Good morning, Shizune-sama" Some women and men in strange clothes see me and say this, bowing and then moving on.
"Good...morning" I respond without understanding the situation, but I go back to walking through the corridors, still confused. The place is very large and beautiful, with an elegant green tone in some parts along with a matte yellow tone.
Until I see Nyzz, she also sees me and comes towards me, but without her usual smile, she has a strange expression.
"Nyzz, what happened? I don’t..." As soon as she approaches, a flash of memory arises I receiving a hug from Yui, then suddenly Nyzz appears behind Yui and after that I feel pain.
The sensation of something piercing my body, and Yui also seemed to have been affected, but I blacked out very quickly.
"You..." I murmur, and soon Nyzz gives me a sad smile.
"Shizune, I fulfilled our agreement, I made you have an encounter with Yui, but unfortunately there was a change of plans," she says as she approaches, holding me and soon lifting me off the ground.
"What did you do," I say, looking at her seriously.
"I can explain, just wait a moment," she says, carrying me as she walks. I try to think about what happened, why Nyzz did that.
"..." Soon Nyzz enters one of the rooms and puts me in a chair while she sits in another.
"Shizune, here’s the thing, you know Yui is life, right?" she asks, and I just nod, still trying to understand what she did and why.
"It happens that the level of chaos in existence has increased a lot, probably because Nyarlisse was doing a lot of things, but it happens that the higher her influence on existence, the more unstable it becomes if it is not corrected or has a counterweight."
"Hmm, how to explain this... Imagine that existence is a balance, it needs to constantly keep both sides of the balance equal, generating balance. Chaos and order must never be above each other."
"It happens that you, as a catalyst, weighed this balance too much, and instead of the balance just leaning towards the side of chaos, it literally fell, let’s say your ’existence weight’ was too great for the fragile existential balance."
"Are you trying to say...that I’m like the drop of water that makes the cup overflow?" I say, and she nods.
"Kind of like that, but in this case, instead of a drop of water, you’re a furious tsunami heading towards the already full cup, that is, the cup breaks."
"Of course, this weight is not your fault, it’s largely due to your curse and Nyarlisse, who is very important to existence and decided to do stupid things to persecute you," Nyzz says, something that seems more like she’s rambling, it doesn’t explain what I remember happening.
"What does that mean?" I ask her to stop rambling.
"It’s like this, Yui was dying, slowly her ’existential weight’ was making Yui crack until she died, like a tree slowly rotting while its trunk cracks under its own weight."
"Except that Yui is literally life, if she dies, everyone dies with her, and I honestly don’t want to die, and I bet more than 99% of existence doesn’t want to die with Yui either."
"And we have you, the cause of the problem, who can’t be killed because of your curse, so I thought... how can I prevent this and still help Shizune?"
"And I came up with the answer, the only way would be to throw away the rotten tree and plant a new one."
"How...like that?"
"Haa... Shizune, I’ll summarize it in a way that your poorly adapted fragile mind can understand. Yui was a rotten tree that was going to die and take everyone with her, but as a tree, she can be replaced if we plant a new one."
"But she is literal life, so how do we plant a new tree of life? The answer is obvious, just as you can use a tree sprout to plant a new one, using Yui to plant a new life is possible."
"So what I did was transform you into the new Yui, it was quite difficult, you know? I had to kill the two at the same time, while using your own curse in your body as fuel, if I failed, everyone would die."
"But it worked, although you have strange traits like a black eye and part of your hair also black, still, you are now the new pillar of existence, all life depends on you."
"And since you are life, you inherited everything from Yui, this house here is Yui’s house, which is now yours, and also the fact that Sayuri’s curse no longer affects you."
"Because you have the same existential value as Sayuri, maybe even higher than Sayuri’s, and you have like 7 different immortalities, especially the immortality of connection, almost nothing can kill you."
"Not even Sayuri would dare try to kill you, because without you, she doesn’t even exist, and now you two are kind of sisters... you are Sayuri’s younger sister now, which will force Sayuri to accept you."
"And Nyarlisse can’t do anything to you without you letting her, because you are life, and your existence is very different from others, so no one else can hurt you, kill you, or harm you."
"Your curse was also disabled, used as fuel for the fusion between you and Yui, so now you’re not even human, you’re like... a higher-level existential entity."
"Besides, you’re small because well... you’re new to this, you’ll grow over time, like in about 3 trillion years you should grow... 1 or two centimeters? Well, it’ll take a while, but soon you’ll stop being short."
"Anyway, trees compared to humans take a long time to grow, just imagine that you are now the tree that holds existence in its branches, you will grow with time and proper care, I doubt another anomaly will arise that will threaten existence and put you at risk..."
"You...killed Yui..." I say, looking at her in shock as I finally assimilate what she meant.
"Well... kind of yes, it was necessary, I saw the damage to her body, and I highly doubt she would have recovered, and even if she did, it would be with terrible consequences for existence..."
"Y-You!! YOU KILLED HER" I jump out of the chair, pointing my finger at her full of anger.
"Yes, I killed her, and it’s thanks to that that you are now protected from your curse, have uncontested power, and are now one of the most important beings in existence. You should be grateful for that," she says with a certain sarcasm.
"I never asked for this, I never asked you to kill Yui! Even more out of selfishness!" She herself admitted that it was because she still didn’t want to die.
"I don’t care if you want this or not, don’t be ungrateful, because of this you are now important, do you know how many humans, mortals, and even goddesses would want to be in your place?"
"I did what before would have been considered impossible, I created a new [life] for all of existence, I’m kind of a hero to almost everyone..." She speaks, but stops when I punch her.
"I’m sorry to say, ’Shizune’, but you can’t hurt me, first because you’re practically a newborn [Life], and second because life was never and will never be a fighter."
"After all, your duty is not to cause destruction, so even when you grow up, it’s impossible for you to hurt me in normal ways."
"You! YOU BITCH! YOU MONSTER!" I yell with anger and tears. Yui was my friend, even though we’ve spent little time together, I liked her.
"You can hit as much as you want, I can’t hurt you... but Shizune... no matter how much you curse me, the concept of ’Monster’ that mortals use does not apply to me."
"I did what was best, and curses, bad treatment, or anything like that is something that only mortals consider."
"And now Shizune, this is also your existence, cursing a cosmic deity as ’Bitch’ means nothing, I think most deities don’t even know what a ’Bitch’ is because it’s a human term."
"And we’re not human, so do whatever you want now, Shizune, you’re free, wasn’t that what you’ve always wanted since you got this curse? I fulfilled your wish, you should know that everything has a price."
"Get out of here!! GET OUT OF HERE!!" I yell, running to a table and grabbing a plant vase that I throw at her. She doesn’t even react, being hit by the vase that breaks and covers her with dirt.
"As you wish, Shizune Asahina," she says, using Yui’s surname as if it were mine.
"I hope you enjoy your new existence, and we’ll see each other at the next meeting between the concepts, as life is now your duty to participate in this, the next one will probably happen in 3 to 15 mortal days because everyone felt that a new life has emerged."
"I wish you luck with your new freedom," she says as she disappears in a black trail, leaving me alone. I fall to my knees, crying and apologizing to Yui.
"I-I didn’t know... t-this isn’t fair... I-I didn’t want this! I DIDN’T WANT THIS!" I didn’t want Yui to die, this wasn’t how I expected to get rid of my curse.
