CHAPTER 294: CHAPTER 294: YE JINGZHE, HE REMEMBERED THIS NAME! 1

Si Mingjing hung up the phone. She then summoned Ye Nianbai, Sheng Liangliang, and Yun Xiaosu—the three little treasures—and asked the butler to prepare afternoon tea and snacks to be packed up.

"Jingjing, where are we going?" Sheng Liangliang tilted her little head.

Si Mingjing picked up Little Liangliang. "We’re going to bring your dad some afternoon tea."

Si Mingjing took the three children aboard a flying saucer-shaped aircraft, which could soar through the sky or dive into the sea, making it convenient to travel anywhere. The Atlantis Imperial Capital was located undersea, twenty thousand meters below Xingguang Island. It wasn’t far; the trip in the flying saucer-shaped aircraft only took about five minutes.

The aircraft took off and plunged into the sea.

In no time, they could see a bustling city through the aircraft’s windows at the bottom of the sea. It was no less splendid than the capital of A Country and even twice its size, with towering high-rises everywhere—a truly eye-opening sight. The flying saucer-shaped aircraft then passed through the waterproof layer and landed on the tarmac of the Atlantis Empire’s Royal Palace.

Si Mingjing stepped off the aircraft with the three children, where Fengjue was already waiting for them.

Upon seeing Si Mingjing, Fengjue was visibly moved. "Crown Princess Consort, the Crown Prince asked me to come and receive you. This way, please."

Si Mingjing nodded, looking around with the three children. She had seen the Royal Palace of Gendaya Country, but it didn’t compare to the magnificent grandeur of the Atlantis Royal Palace.

The palace was divided into two parts from south to north. The southern part housed the governmental office building, reminiscent of Versailles in France but even more imposing than Versasilles Palace. The northern part was a beautiful castle, designated as the Queen’s and Crown Prince’s private quarters and resting area, filled with the beauty of classic European garden artistry.

Fengjue led them to the governmental office building. The opulent office building was the power center of Atlantis, a solemn and magnificent place to which all who coveted power flocked.

At the pinnacle of this pyramid of power was Mo Yinhe. Could it be that her heart was warming slightly?!

Fengjue escorted her all the way, taking an elevator to the topmost floor. The palace was enormous, housing countless gold and silver vessels, paintings, porcelain, tapestries, and other royal artifacts. It seemed that even casually placed items in the corridors were invaluable, making people hesitant to touch them for fear of causing damage they couldn’t afford to repair. They took a sightseeing elevator, allowing them to look down upon each floor and observe many people shuttling through the various levels. Within the governmental office building were numerous government and executive departments, with everyone hurrying along, busily entering and exiting their respective divisions.

With a DING, they arrived at the top floor.

Stepping out of the elevator, Fengjue led them to Mo Yinhe’s office.

"Crown Princess Consort, please wait here for a moment. The Crown Prince is a bit tied up but will return shortly."

"No problem, go do what you need to do," Si Mingjing said, feeling quite at home and not at all constrained.

Mo Yinhe’s office was huge, spanning several hundred square meters. It was divided into a work area, a relaxation area, a reception area, a bar, and a bedroom for his afternoon rests.

She let the three children play in the lounge and walked into his work area to look around. Glancing up, she noticed many infrared and alarm devices installed in the corners of the walls; the security was tight. It seemed that no one could hope to sneak into his office and peek at his state affairs.

Finally, she walked over to a wall cabinet filled with numerous documents and books. An entire wall had been converted into cabinetry, displaying various classified state documents, numerous trophies and medals, and photos of him with leaders of other countries. With nothing better to do, Si Mingjing browsed with great interest. She even found a framed photo of Mo Yinhe shaking hands with Crown Prince Lisao. It must have been taken during a summit between the two nations. From the picture, both men exuded an extraordinary presence and an air of friendliness. However, only the subtle nuances in their eyes revealed that their cordiality was nothing more than a diplomatic facade.

Si Mingjing held the photo frame, her lips slowly lifting into a smile that produced a soft chuckle.

"What are you laughing at?" Suddenly, Mo Yinhe’s deep, magnetic voice came from behind her.

Si Mingjing turned around. Mo Yinhe, who had just returned from a meeting, stood tall before her, looking down at her. Their gazes met for one second, two seconds...

Si Mingjing was the first to avert her gaze. Holding up the photo frame, she said, "You both look so hypocritical when you smile."

Mo Yinhe’s gaze fell upon the photo frame, and he smiled too.

"We hardly have any rapport, yet you insist on acknowledging him as your sworn brother. Won’t I be a step below him in the future? That guy just wants to take advantage of me."

"We are of the same clan, and perhaps in the future, his help might be needed. Besides..." Si Mingjing didn’t finish her sentence.

Mo Yinhe, however, was curious about what else lay behind her ’besides.’

"Besides what?"

"Si Yuan really likes Crown Prince Lisao. If Si Yuan and Crown Prince Lisao’s relationship blossoms, then you’ll officially be his senior brother-in-law, and he won’t have seniority over you. What do you think?"

"They have no chance!" Mo Yinhe declared firmly, not wishing to gain an advantage that way.

"Si Yuan truly likes him; I can tell."

Mo Yinhe didn’t want to continue this topic. He grasped her waist with one hand, while the long fingers of his other softly pinched her chin, tilting her radiant face upward to meet his gaze. They had only made eye contact for two seconds just now. It’s said that if eye contact between a man and a woman lasts three seconds without a spark, then it’s not worth wasting time on each other because there’s simply no chemistry. He wanted to know if she felt any spark with him.

And so, their eyes met once more. One second, two seconds, three seconds...

Si Mingjing clearly saw her own reflection in Mo Yinhe’s deep eyes. That look sent a warmth through her heart.

Embarrassed, she shook off his hand and stepped into the lounge, fleeing in a slight panic.

Mo Yinhe followed her. He intended to have his way with her, but when he saw the three children in the lounge, he stopped himself. He went over to pick up Sheng Liangliang, who was running toward him, held her up high, and kissed her little cheek.

"Daddy, we came to bring you afternoon tea!"

"You’re so good."

Mo Yinhe set Sheng Liangliang down, then picked up Yun Xiaosu to give his little daughter a kiss. He doted on his two daughters immensely, never showing them a cold face nor favoring one over the other. This differed from his actions with his son. Of course, Ye Nianbai didn’t care for his father’s hugs—if his father carelessly kissed his cheek, the boy would disdainfully wipe his cheek twice.

Si Mingjing brought over the afternoon tea from home and teased, "Fengjue mentioned you got swindled out of one billion. Is it true? Have some herbal tea to cool off."

"That bastard!" Mo Yinhe was somewhat annoyed. Even after taking a sip of the afternoon tea, his anger hadn’t subsided. "I won’t let him off the hook!"

"Who is it?"

Mo Yinhe didn’t say. After all, that kid will be at the interstellar sports championship. I’ll deal with him then! Ye Jingzhe. He had remembered that name.
