My Dragon Baby and Billionaire Husband
Chapter 83 Mo Yinhe: Want to Spread My Own Scandal 2
CHAPTER 83: CHAPTER 83 MO YINHE: WANT TO SPREAD MY OWN SCANDAL 2
Even the most avid female shoppers consider the balance on their bank cards before splurging on luxury brands. Buying just a few items from such brands can be painfully expensive.
Mo Yinhe, however, had no such concerns. To him, this small amount of money was barely enough to fill the gaps between his teeth; he almost wished he could buy out the entire mall.
Eventually, his steps halted in front of a shop selling parent-child outfits, his gaze fixed on the display window where mannequins dressed as a family of three stood.
They were clad in outfits celebrating the New Year. With Christmas approaching and New Year’s Day just over half a month away, Xiaobai’s kindergarten was sure to hold a parent-child event. Without matching outfits, how could they seem like a family of three?
Mo Yinhe entered with a grand stride. This time, he didn’t ask Si Mingjing to try on anything; he simply gave their sizes and instructed the sales associate to wrap up the clothes the mannequins were wearing—the man’s, the woman’s, and the child’s outfits, not a single one to be missed.
He then browsed the store further, picking out several other sets of parent-child outfits.
Si Mingjing stood by, watching Mo Yinhe’s shopping spree. Why is this man buying women’s outfits too? she wondered.
She wasn’t foolish or slow; a vague suspicion made her frown slightly. Could the women’s outfits be for me?
The parent-child outfits were indeed attractive. Even as an unmarried woman, she found them appealing. One day, when I have a husband and children, I’ll buy them too,
she decided.
After Mo Yinhe paid, he noticed Si Mingjing standing somewhat uncomfortably to one side. With a smile, he said, "Do you think these parent-child outfits look nice?"
Si Mingjing didn’t answer.
Mo Yinhe then said, "Christmas is coming, and Xiaobai’s kindergarten will have a parent-child event. Parents are expected to participate. In other families, both parents accompany their child, but Xiaobai... will only have her dad and her aunt."
Oh...
Si Mingjing looked up. So, the women’s outfit isn’t for me?
Si Mingjing’s ears suddenly grew hot.
She felt quite embarrassed.
She chided herself for her wild imagination and for being so presumptuous.
Immediately, she couldn’t bring herself to meet Mo Yinhe’s gaze, afraid he would see the guilt in her eyes and mock her for her misguided thoughts.
"Let’s go, time to head back," Mo Yinhe chuckled inwardly, his mood excellent.
After Mo Yinhe settled the bill, his entourage naturally carried the clothes for him. His hands were free, as if he hadn’t bought anything, though little did anyone know how wildly extravagant he had been.
Si Mingjing frowned slightly. "I’m going to the restroom."
After Si Mingjing left, a member of his entourage approached Mo Yinhe, holding a DSLR camera’s memory card. He bowed and reported, "Your Excellency, two reporters were in the mall secretly photographing you shopping for clothes with Miss Si. I’ve already handled it."
Mo Yinhe’s good mood chilled almost imperceptibly at the head guard’s words. The gentle expression vanished from his handsome face. "Did I say to handle it?"
The head guard, still not grasping Mo Yinhe’s point, reported, "Your Excellency, they’re just tabloid reporters. If we don’t deal with this, the gossip will be everywhere."
Although Mo Yinhe wasn’t an entertainment celebrity, he was a top-tier politician, a king of public influence.
The slightest activity involving him could land him on the top trending lists; his public standing was unmatched.
Mo Yinhe shot him a cold glance. "Do I seem like someone who cares about gossip?"
The head guard was speechless.
Doesn’t he care?
Wasn’t he the ’flower on a high peak,’ the one who usually insisted any tiny bit of gossip be completely suppressed?
He never allowed any hint of scandal to tarnish his name, like a cultivator rigorously adhering to a code of male virtue.
Mo Yinhe’s gaze turned icy as he stared at the memory card in the head guard’s hand. He adopted the insincere tone of a seasoned politician, "Return the memory card to them. This isn’t Atlantis; this is A Country. Here, I’m just an ordinary citizen. Don’t seek special treatment, and certainly don’t abuse your authority to pressure others."
