CHAPTER 378: CHAPTER 378: BURIED MEMORIES

In the sky, two people riding on flying sticks tore through the clouds. Their speed was unimaginably fast, yet their mage robes didn’t even flutter much as if an invisible barrier was blocking the wind.

One of these two was a woman wearing a white mask, while the other was a young man staring at the former in curiosity.

These two are precisely Rezen and Elder Priss. Since Rezen cannot possibly rival the flying speed of the peak Senior Mage, he naturally wasn’t using his own power to fly.

The Senior Mage is currently controlling his flying stick and has even created an invisible barrier that blocks them from the wind.

"Just who is this woman really?" Rezen asked himself. He knew this woman was an Elder of the Council of Elders, but he wouldn’t believe it even if she said that was her only identity.

After all, for Ivy to advise him to continue befriending Treen was surely connected to the Headmaster and Elder Priss.

"I- no, the Headmaster of the Tryst Academy entrusted you to me. You are the closest person to Treen. As such, I have one request to you"

As Rezen doesn’t dare carelessly create a topic with a Senior Mage, he kept silent the whole time. He didn’t expect that Elder Priss would take the initiative and speak to him first.

This woman, after all, was too cold and indifferent, as if nothing in this world could faze her. For her to speak first and even ask a puny Junior Mage for a favor was quite surprising.

"I will do my best to fulfill the Elder’s request," Rezen replied respectfully, and the Elder turned her head to him.

She even gave a glance at his stomach as if she could pierce through it, causing Rezen to shudder.

No one had ever discovered the existence of his farm. Whether it be Alchemist Fuchk or the Headmaster, who were Senior Mages, they don’t have even a single clue despite meeting Rezen on several occasions.

"I see how devastating losing a close friend was, and I don’t want Treen to experience such heartbreak. I want to request you to never die and make Treen sad"

Rezen almost choked on his own saliva after hearing those words.

The hell? What is with this woman? Don’t tell me that Treen’s charm actually also affected her?

She looks like the type of person who wouldn’t speak more than two sentences at a time, yet she even spoke this much.

Not only that, her request, as a peak Senior Mage to a weak little Junior Mage, is for the latter not to die because it will make Treen sad?

"In return, I will promise that I will keep quiet about the fact that you assimilated a World Seed and possessed an Internal World. In the future, I will also help protect you from beings that would try to seize your Internal World" the Elder continued, and Rezen’s face paled.

She knew that Rezen possessed a farm? Come to think of it, his farm, aside from being able to grow spirit plants fast, does seem like an Internal World.

He was your typical neighbor who could get along with almost anyone due to how approachable and friendly he was.

However, experience, especially the painful ones, changed him. Right now, he has become more mature.

If Ivy wouldn’t divulge some information to him, although he still felt some dissatisfaction, it was not a big deal anymore, nor does he complain a lot. Instead of wasting energy on complaints, he just focused more on finding solutions.

He also became much more reserved. He was not as playful anymore, and in many cases, his personality became dull and uninteresting.

He was always striving to grow more powerful and reach his goal. Gone was his childish personality, and it was replaced by a steadier and more mature personality.

But if it were just him, he would rather become the loud and annoying Rezen. Back then, it was as if his only problem was that the things he grew on his farm made him feel like some sort of pervert.

The days he lived back on the Earth Realm were the simplest and happiest days he had ever had. Too bad that, aside from the death of his parents, to continue motivating him in his path, he mostly buried his other memories as if he had forgotten about them

"Brother Claude, I hope you are safe. I had no choice but to betray you back then but I hoped you would find another way to save our homeland."

"As for my friends and acquaintances, I hope they are okay too. Neil, Maze, Rain, Florine, my artificial humans, especially Zero. I hope all of you are still alive and living a good life"

Before Rezen could be swallowed by his own emotions by reminiscing, he took a deep breath and buried these emotions and memories again.

Perhaps, in the future, when he grew strong enough, he would not need to bury them, but for now, that was the only thing he could do.

The gloomy aura that Rezen emitted didn’t escape Elder Priss’s notice, but as a person incapable of feeling any emotions, it was no big deal in her view, and she continued.

The Guardian of Humanity and the Sage of the magic beasts are also only at that level!

They are the hegemons, the tallest sky in the Savage Beast Realm!

However, to make Ivy give such a suggestion to Rezen, even powers at the Great Mage might not be enough.

Rezen wouldn’t be surprised if this Elder Pride could actually summon or have a connection to beings above even the Great Rank!

With Rezen’s promise, silence engulfed the two once more. Thankfully, it didn’t take that long before the two arrived at their location.

Below them, on the ground, there were magic beasts as far as the eye could see. Their numbers were simply staggering!
