After a year of being taught by his Master, Claude is no longer ignorant about the common knowledge in the universe.

A heaven's blessed and the realm's chosen are not exactly a secret in the universe. Of course, detecting such people is only possible using special means or when one's realm is powerful enough.

For example, a 6th rank Sage Mage can easily detect the presence of fortune aura and know when a living being was a heaven's blessed or a realm's chosen.

With the knowledge he possessed, Claude found it incredulous that he actually obtained the fortune aura of another realm.

Despite the Earth Realm's destruction, Claude still has the imprint of his birth realm. Even his Master cannot remove it. This invisible imprint is proof of his origin, and with this imprint, it should be impossible for him to be a heaven's blessed or a realm's chosen of a different realm.

The realms don't have intelligent consciousness. They merely operate based on instincts. In the realm's eyes, a living being with the imprint of another realm will forever be an 'outsider', no matter how beneficial they are to the realm.

The realm would never give fortune aura to an outsider, much less simply because the outsider killed a few random bandits.

This situation doesn't make any sense at all!

"What is the reason for this…" Claude muttered, feeling like there was more to this situation than meets the eye.

Wanting to test the requirements to obtain fortune aura, Claude went out to find a random magic beast and killed it mercilessly.

"So, it doesn't work by killing a magic beast. Then, must it be a human that I kill?"

Killing the magic beast didn't earn Claude the realm's recognition, and his negligible fortune aura didn't rise.

Since that is the case, then he could only kill humans but…

"No, I killed the townspeople who wanted to rob me, but that action also didn't earn me fortune aura. I don't think gaining fortune aura from the Eclipsion realm is strictly for when I kill humans."

Claude wanted to understand the reason why, despite possessing the Earth Realm's imprint, the Eclipsion Realm gave him fortune aura.

What was even more confusing was that fortune aura is normally innate and given at birth, aside from rare and special circumstances. There are people born for greatness, and fortune aura was not something that could be obtained by doing small good deeds for the realm. At the very least, it must be highly beneficial to the realm.

For example, if a native mage elevates the 'ceiling' of the realm, where in a realm could normally give rise to a Senior Mage but a native elevated the realm, making it so that a Great Mage can also be born, the native might then receive the realm's recognition and obtain fortune aura.

What Claude did paled in comparison to such a feat. What happened should have been impossible, but it still did happen.

While he was lost in thought, even more bandits suddenly appeared. They are also weak groups, with the most powerful member being at the 4th cycle of the Senior Rank.

In this area, high-cycle Senior Mages are top-forced and are not easily mobilized. Most of the time, the strongest bandits that would appear were simply at the mid-cycle.

As such, Claude also defeated and killed these bandits. Unlike when killing the magic beast and the townspeople, killing these bandits made Claude's fortune aura grow again.

Sensing this, Claude spared one of the bandits.

The bandit thought that he was lucky that Claude was busy with the other bandits. Unbeknownst to him, Claude deliberately let him flee so that he could lead him to their den.

As of the moment, the only method that Claude sees could earn him fortune aura is by killing bandits. Since that is the case, he would kill as many bandits as he could.

Who knows, when his fortune aura grew enough, he might learn the reason why such an impossible thing happened to him.

While hiding his presence, Claude tailed the fleeing bandit, and soon he arrived at their den.

"Help! Help! We encountered a—!" before the fleeing bandit could finish his words, a streak of bloody lightning flew out and zapped him to death.

His corpse fell with a thud, and this unexpected situation did not escape the bandits' notice.

As people living in the dark side of the world, fighting was a norm in their lives. All of them were ready to attack and defend anytime, even without proper notice.

As soon as they saw one of their own being killed, the bandits brandished their magic wands and weapons and turned to look at the person who was courageous enough to kill one of them.

"Who are you?!" One of the bandits asked.

Despite seeing that Claude was alone, he didn't attack immediately and decided to probe first. To have the guts to show himself alone, he is either stupid or confident in his strength.

Despite only emitting the aura of a first-cycle Senior Mage, there are many artifacts or spells in the world that could hide one's cultivation.

The bandits wouldn't be shocked if this first-cycle Senior Mage suddenly became a high-cycle Senior Mage in the blink of an eye.

"I am your killer" Claude replied.

With a wave of his hand, his magic sword appeared, and he didn't waste any time, launching himself at the bandits

With a single slash, he beheaded one of the bandits, causing another tiny increase in his fortune aura.

"No matter who you are, we would kill you!"

With Claude drawing the first blood, the bandits turned to attack. One by one, simple magic and magic spells were sent out.

Claude has no room to dodge, nor did he plan to do so. He grabbed the beheaded body of the bandit and used it as a shield to block the incoming attacks.

In just a single round, the headless corpse has become unrecognizable, and at this point, it cannot even block a small breeze.

This is Claude; he was not nicknamed the Dark Saint for nothing. He is kind to the weak and innocent, but he was also someone who could do unspeakable and cruel things to achieve his goals, and also for the greater good.

"[Call of Ten Lightnings!]"

A magic circle formed on the land Claude was standing on after he stabbed the ground, and from the magic circle, ten bloody streaks of lightning flew out, effortlessly killing ten bandits in total.

This was just the 'entrance' of the bandit group; the bandits here are weaker. It will take some more time before the stronger bandits appear.

Before that happens, Claude is determined to kill as many bandits as possible first.

After launching a magic spell, Claude's figure blurred, and he appeared in front of a bandit.

The bandit just raised his magic wand to attack, yet Claude's sword already pierced through his heart.

Taking this chance, another bandit hurled burning balls of fire at Claude, yet the latter simply moved his sword that was still stabbing the poor man's heart.

He used yet another corpse as a shield before sending the corpse flying to free his sword. At the same time, he used his right foot to kick a bandit who approached and tried to attack him.

Just like that, Claude harvested one life after another before his senses picked up something. This time, he wasn't stubborn to rely merely on his own power.

Claude injected mana into his sword, activating the spell engraved on it. As soon as he did that, a transparent barrier of mana was immediately erected, and he blocked the shards of ice coming at him.

His sword might look unassuming, but it was actually a powerful artifact with engraved spells. Once the engraved defensive spell was activated, even the full force of a Great Mage could not harm Claude, much less the attack of a high-cycle Senior Mage.

His Master, as a 6th rank Mage, is a wealthy man. Naturally, treasures that can defend or kill Senior Mages are nothing but cheap change that his master won't even turn to look at.

With the arrival of a high-cycle Senior Mage, Claude has no choice but to use external power to keep himself safe.

After blocking the ice shards, he turned to look at the attack's source. The barrier was still intact, and he had time.

As soon as Claude looked at the attacker, his senses or more like the realm itself was telling him something.

Of course, the realm itself isn't speaking in human language or any language at all but more like sending information directly to Claude.

"You are not a native of this realm as well" Claude said with utmost confidence causing the latter to be taken aback.

Humans across the millions of realms look identical except for a few realms where their humans have more distinct features.

While it was possible to determine what Claude said through one's aura, that was a feat that is generally only possible for 4th rank Noble Mages and above.
