Anton wondered about the theme that the Corridors of Amuneta generated for him for the 30th floor. At first, he thought that it was some sort of ancient labyrinth, like the one that he encountered before. The ones with minotaurs and stone golems. Although this one looked the same, the presence of the mummies indicated that this could be inside a pyramid.

The two spirit wolves kept on triggering the traps, and if his familiar weren’t so hardy or tanky, they would have died a hundred times over. Although it didn’t matter if the two wolves died, since Anton would just resummon them again. He didn’t even bother to heal the wolves. If they were too damaged, he would just dispel them and summon new ones.

Anton’s raven informed that there was a new area and it was littered with huge insects. Through the eyes of the raven, he could see that the huge insects looked like beetles or scarabs. They were as huge as horses, and there were twelve of them. He then thought of the scarabs in deserts outside Lut Gholein in the Diablo II game. The one in this dungeon looked different. They still looked like the insects, but overgrown. The scarabs from Diablo II stood upright.

Anton didn’t waste any time and entered the area where the insects were. He immediately cast Frozen Orb to slow down the insects, followed by the Blizzard spell and Hurricane from the Druid skill tree. He then cast several Hydras that bombarded the beetles with firebolts.

He didn’t stop casting Frozen Orb, followed by Blizzard, the Chain Lightning. The huge insects didn’t even manage to get near Anton until they were destroyed. He immediately tagged the twelve beetles and checked the guild book to see what parts of the insects he should harvest to complete a diamond quest.

According to the guild book, the insects’ carapace was the most important part that he could retrieve from the corpses, so that’s what Anton harvested. Once the corpses of the beetles dissolved, he retrieved the mana stones and stored everything in his inventory.

Based on the speed of his battles, it would take a couple of days for Anton to complete this floor. The majority of the time spent was on Anton’s travel between the areas of the combat locations. He couldn’t rush from one place to another, even though the way was straightforward. The roads were littered with deadly traps that might even damage someone like him who had robust defenses.

The next area had Gnolls. Looking at the gnolls through the eyes of the raven, he could see that the new monsters were not the ordinary-looking savage gnolls. They were all black and looked like the statues that depicted the god Ra in Egyptian Mythology. He thought of that because of the clothing the monsters were wearing. They looked like the formal kilts that those statues depicted in hieroglyphics.

There were around twenty-one gnolls in the chamber. Ten on each side, standing formally like ceremonial guards. At the very end, a much larger gnoll was standing, carrying a staff and wearing an elaborate headdress. The guardian gnolls were wearing twin swords strapped to their backs.

Anton assumed that the head honcho in that group of monsters was a magic caster. Before entering the area where the gnolls were located, Anton made sure that all of his armor spells were refreshed. Once he was ready, he barged into the gnolls' area and started casting the Frozen Orb spell and the Blizzard spell. He also cast the Druid’s Hurricane spell.

The chilling and slowing effects of the spells that he casts were the main reason he liked the cold spells. Because of the effects of the spells that he cast, the gnolls’ movements were very slow.

Anton saw that the gnoll wizards started to cast spells. While the gnolls that were wearing swords started to rush to him, which seemed like a futile effort to him since he was flying above them, the gnoll wizard finally completed his casting and cast some sort of red fireball towards him. The red fireball looked like the one the pharaoh mummy cast, and Anton wondered what kind of fireball it was.

When the red fireball was about to reach Anton, he simply teleported near the gnoll wizard and then started casting his spells again. He made sure to aim his Frozen Orb to hit the gnoll wizard, since once the spell exploded inside the gnoll, the damage would be tremendous.

The Frozen Orb spell hit the gnoll wizard, but Anton didn’t stop there. He hit the twenty sword-wielding gnolls with the Blizzard spell and made sure that the Hurricane spell was active.

Anton remembered one of the most powerful spells of the Druid, which was Armageddon. He hadn’t tried it before outside of the game, so he tried it then, and the meteors fell in his location. He briefly wondered if he was going to be damaged by his own spell. He observed the Armageddon spell, and it seemed like the meteors fell on the enemies that surrounded him and not on him.

Just like the Hurricane, Armageddon behaved in a way that he was the center, so if he moved, the center of the spell moved.

More than likely, he wouldn’t use the Armageddon or any of the Druid’s fire spells too much. First off, his druid was specialized in summoning, so the majority of the skill points were put on the summons. The only reason he was able to use the spells was that Anton put points in all of the spells. Not only that, but a lot of his gear added skill points to the Sorceress’s skills.

He liked using the Hurricane spell because Anton mainly focused on cold spells, and the cold effect of the Druid’s Hurricane spell stacked with the Sorceress’s cold skills.

The gnoll wizard kept casting spells at him, but Anton just avoided them using Teleport. Those that he couldn’t avoid were easily nullified by his magical defenses.

With the combination of Frozen Orb, Blizzard, Hurricane, Hydra, and Chain Lightning, all of the gnolls were soon destroyed. The gnoll wizard fell last, and the only reason was that Anton kept avoiding the spells that the gnoll was casting. He would have liked to use Glacial Spike and Ice Blast, but the frozen effect of the spell kept him from harvesting the needed body parts to complete a Diamond rank quest.

Still, the mana stones that appeared after he harvested the quest items and the enchanted items that came out of the chest that appeared after the gnolls were destroyed were plentiful. He stored everything in his inventory and would count them all once he completed the floor.

When he checked the time, it was already three in the afternoon. There was still plenty of time before nightfall, but Anton was tired. He flew back a ways and then retrieved the tiny house that he had a carpenter build. He then summoned all of his summons to guard him. After checking that he was secure, Anton entered his tiny house and plopped himself on the small bed, having cleaned himself using his Cleaning spell.

Even though there wasn’t much physical exertion, Anton was exhausted. He ate a quick snack and then decided to take a nap. After a couple of hours sleeping, Anton woke up refreshed, but he still didn’t want to move, so he wasted the rest of the evening just surfing the internet.
