My Favorite Game Followed Me!
Chapter 513
Anton knew that he had to return to the previous room to select the other door since that had been the case on this floor, but he still checked every nook and cranny of the chamber to make sure that he didn’t miss anything.
When he returned to the previous room where he had to select the doors, as expected, the other door led to a long hallway. Anton summoned his five Spirit Wolves and five Ravens to trigger the traps along the way and for the ravens to act as his scouts, although the ravens’ primary function on this floor was to trigger the traps located above.
The system on this floor was straightforward, so Anton felt he didn’t need a scout. He would walk a long, scary hallway then he would stumble into a room that had two doors. He would select a door, any door, and it would lead to a chamber that had monsters. After he defeated the monsters, he would need to return to the previous room to reselect the door, and so on.
This floor would have been a little enjoyable if there were no traps. To be honest, he was beginning to become super annoyed at the traps. They were excessive and lethal. But then again, adventurers were warned that dungeon floors were not some fair combat space but a dimension wherein the inhabitants would strive their best to destroy them.
When Anton reached the room where he had to select a door, he randomly chose one and entered it without further ado. The chamber resembled the one with the knight statues. It looked like a display room, but this time, there were only paintings, and there were eleven of them.
There were five on each side and one large painting on the wall facing the door. When Anton entered the room, the door dramatically closed again, which only made him sigh. He thought that after this floor, Anton wouldn’t be able to enjoy watching horror movies again, since he felt like it would just make him laugh. To be honest, he never liked watching horror movies since ever since he was a child, he was scared of them. By the time his parents died, living alone made him avoid scary movies even more because his imagination couldn’t help but conjure scary things in his apartment.
Even now, Anton still felt a bit apprehensive when encountering scary things. The only reason he was able to cope was because he had powerful minions that he could summon, and that gave him the illusion that he was not alone. He knew that he shouldn’t be fearful of such things anymore since first, since he could cast magic spells that could destroy those scary things. And second, his enemy was the undead, and they were the epitome of scary things.
He knew, though, that after several battles, he would get used to battling with scary things, but he hoped those tiny feelings of apprehension would be gone since he felt embarrassed that he still had those.
Once Anton moved forward, wraiths crawled out of the paintings. He called them wraiths instead of ghosts because they were shadowy monsters sporting billowing cloths. He could see the wraiths’ faces, though, and it was terrifying. They all had large eyes and extremely large mouths, but when one stared at those parts, there was nothing but dark crevices. Their hand sported long fingers that ended in claws. And they were emitting all kinds of noises. Moaning, shrieking, laughing, all sorts of noises.
The most terrifying wraith was the one that came out of the largest painting. Anton assumed that it was the boss monster of this room.
Anton knew that the noises the wraiths were making were some sort of magical attacks. They were probably mental attacks that would cause fear and confusion to those who heard them, but since he had powerful magic resistance, he could resist those as well, and his summons were just mana constructs and would not experience any fear. He summoned all of his summons, which were the ten wolves, the five ravens, the Clay Golem, the Valkyrie, and the Shadow Master. He was thankful that his summons could attack ethereal things.
As usual, he commanded the Valkyrie and the Shadow Master to concentrate on the boss monsters while the rest would deal with the other wraiths.
All of the wraiths, including the large one, started flying towards Anton and his summons. Anton commanded his minions to meet the monsters. He didn’t forget to cast all of his curses on all of the wraiths, so once his summons and the wraiths clashed, the damage that his minions inflicted on the monsters was severe.
Anton then cast several Hydras so that the fire elemental Firebolts would bombard the wraiths, then he concentrated on casting single attack spells onto the boss wraith. He didn’t stop casting curses on all of the monsters, and because of that, his summons took down all of the wraiths. The only one remaining was the boss wraith, but with Anton, his Valkyrie, and his Shadow Master’s bombardment, soon the boss wraith turned into a puddle of ectoplasm.
He tagged all of the remaining ectoplasm with his dungeon key so they wouldn’t disappear. After he collected the ectoplasm, Anton waited for the remains to be consumed by the dungeon so he could gather the mana stones. Once the stones appeared, he collected and stored them in his inventory together with the items that came out of the chest that was located under the large painting, where the boss wraiths came out of.
After double-checking the whole floor, Anton didn’t waste any more time and returned to the previous room and selected the second door. It was already five in the afternoon. He wanted to complete one last battle before turning in for the night.
The hallway led to another room where he had to select another door, and he randomly chose to enter one of them. It led to an extremely large bedroom.
There was a man and a woman resting on the huge bed. Surrounding the bed were five men and five women. Based on a cursory look, all of the people on the bed and near it were vampires. They had the typical pale skin and red eyes.
Anton didn’t waste any time and summoned all of his minions. He then commanded all of them to run towards the vampires. He did instruct the Valkyrie and the Shadow Master to focus on the vampires that were resting on the bed since he thought that they were probably the head honcho of this room.
All of the vampires started casting spells, and Anton realized that this battle was going to be a very long one. He cast all of his curses towards the vampire, and the act appeared to startle the two bosses.
Anton realized thy the boss vampire was surprised at his curses. It was because they could do the same thing. He saw the boss vampires casting curses at his summons and him, but since he had an exceedingly large magic resistance, he managed to resist all of the curses.
He cast hydras all over the place so that the fire elementals would bombard the vampires with their Firebolt. Anton observed that some of his summons who were not able to resist the curses that the two boss vampires cast were severely being damaged by the vampires. He simply dismissed them and summoned new ones.
The act of dismissing his summons and summoning new ones apparently infuriated the boss vampires, and they turned their attention to Anton.
