My Favorite Game Followed Me!
Chapter 516
Anton knew that, even though he was beginning to get enamored again with the part of his Diablo II system that allowed him to share movies and shows from Earth with the citizens of this world, the cinema business would probably not happen again. He knew that his father was angry as well for the loss of their friends, and Anders would probably concentrate on getting stronger, just like what he and Anna were doing.
He knew that his father and sister probably already believed his theory that sooner or later, the ambitions of the Undead Coalition would encompass the whole world, and there would be a time when they would have to fight it out with those monsters.
When Anton proposed this concept to everyone, he knew that all of them, including his father and sister, didn’t truly believe that it could happen. Everyone knew that the world was vast and that there were powerful, hidden beings who would not tolerate the undead ruling everything. His question was, where were they when every kingdom or city in Rendindura began to fall one by one? Antonia, Lucia, and the others even told him that the countries and kingdoms in the Gale Continent were powerful and would not allow something like what happened to Rendindura to happen to them.
Regardless of whether his theory would prove to be true or not, it was still best if he and his family grew stronger.
Anton was just a little sad that he would not be able to share movies and shows with others just like before. It was fun while it lasted, especially when the cosplay parties started. He truly enjoyed them because even though he liked them, Anton never had the chance to attend those conventions. After all, he was extremely poor and busy back on Earth. It would have been fun if this world were peaceful, and the only thing he would focus on was growing his cinema empire, and finally, people would start creating their own movies. It would have been wonderful, especially if the movie creators of this world would back their movie creations with magic for special effects instead of CGI.
After that, maybe the most powerful beings in this world would be able to open a portal to Earth, and then the two worlds would share a cultural exchange.
It was such a wonderful idea that Anton suddenly became full of motivation. He would make it his life goal to destroy the Undead Coalition, and once his enemies were gone, he would then turn his attention to that movie empire and find a way for cultural sharing with Earth. He firmly believed that if he didn’t die, with his system and the magic of this world, which he was capable of learning, he could become extremely powerful.
And maybe after that, since he would become an extremely powerful being, maybe Anton could live long enough to experience the interstellar era and travel the universe just like how it was in Star Trek or Star Wars.
Anton knew that having a goal was important for survival, and having this stupid, wonderful goal would truly motivate him.
After that silly thought, Anton finally went to sleep. The next day, he continued killing all the enemies on the 40th floor of the Corridors of Amuneta dungeon. The monsters varied, but almost all of them were undead. He was a little grateful for that since he truly wanted to get used to battling undead monsters. He fought ghouls, ghosts, wraiths, lichs, vampires, undead sea monsters, undead werewolves, and more. The only non-undead monster he fought was the statues that came to life like those gargoyles and stone knights.
By the time the second evening arrived, Anton was still not done with the floor. He expected to complete the floor by the time night arrived, but based on the dungeon key monster indicator, it would probably take him another day before he completed the floor.
The next day went on with Anton battling more monsters, and he only completed the floor at noon. He counted his gains on the floor and saw the 52 high-level mana stones. That meant that his current high-level mana stones that he had were now around 85. The total medium-level mana stones he earned on this floor were 23, and he would sell those so his guild bank card would have more or less 232,000 gold coins. Based on a quick count, the total number of diamond-level quests that he would have completed, including the ones that he would submit that would come from this floor, would be around 28.
Anton’s ladder Amazon reached level 21, which was a good thing since that meant that the monsters on this high-level dungeon were enough to level up his characters. Knowing that the next floor he would tackle would be deeper than the 40th
floor meant that he would earn more experience points.
He decided to rest after this floor, though, since he felt mentally exhausted. He would relax for a couple of days and then probably head to the beginner dungeon to waste his time there.
After counting his gains, Anton left the dungeon and headed directly to the Adventurer Guild branch to return the dungeon key and have someone buy his medium-level mana stones and take his completed diamond-level quests. When that business was over, the guild staff asked if he would like to have another key, but he declined, saying he would rest for a few days.
Anton immediately returned home, but when he got back, he stumbled into a tragedy. Lisa and two guards were killed while Torban and Ronia were gravely wounded before the Ormunda’s authorities responded to the burglary that happened at their house.
He felt extremely stupid for being so cavalier about the items from the dungeon that he stored in his house. Torbin kept telling him that they were extremely valuable, and even though this part of the city was supposed to be secured, if a lot of people learned that he had been keeping treasure in such an insecure place, miscreants would be tempted, and they were.
Torbin kept glaring at him while leading him to the hospital, where his brothers and butler were brought after they were hurt.
The dwarf told him that one of the newly hired guards had betrayed them and led others to steal the treasures. They managed to steal around six powerful items, and Ormunda’s authorities were currently hunting them. Torbin believed that they would be captured soon, especially when the mages of Ormunda learned that the items the thieves stole were powerful items from the 30th floor of the Corridors of Amuneta dungeon.
Anton, together with Torbin, Mary, and the other remaining guard, was inside a carriage heading to the hospital. Of course, before they left, Anton gathered the remaining items in the treasure room and stored them in his inventory. When Torbin saw it, the dwarf got angry with him, asking him why he was storing the items in his house when he had such a large spatial item.
The only thing Anton could do was keep apologizing and promise that he would not store any more valuable items in the house.
When they arrived at the hospital, Anton was aghast to see that Torban had lost an arm and a leg, and Ronia had lost an arm. The healers had learned that Anton was a powerful adventurer and told him the cost to heal Torban and Ronia fully. They even quoted an unexpectedly huge sum to regenerate his people’s limbs.
Anton rolled his eyes and told them that he would handle it since he knew powerful healing spells. The healer looked at Anton with disdain, and a few of them followed him and his people to Torban’s room.
