My Favorite Game Followed Me!
Chapter 634
Chapter 634
Anton’s father finally decided which class he would choose. He was not surprised, though, that even after studying closely every class for several hours, which included some obscure character builds that were made to combat specific types of enemies, and even character builds based on the modded Diablo II game, his father chose the Paladin class.
“You’re correct, son. The best class for me, considering the types of enemies we would face, is the Paladin. I plan to delve into the dungeon solo today to level up the class fast. Besides, it’s time I give my men a few days off.”
“Do you want me to accompany you? We can delve into the deeper floors and use my summons to hold the monsters while you kill them. I think you’ll gain a lot more experience points that way. Besides, there is still no news from Ormunda regarding their next step against the Undead Coalition.”
“Are you not busy meditating to increase your power?”
“I can do it inside the dungeon. I can set up my small tent on top of my Dire Bear. The other summons would be enough to assist you in killing the monsters.”
That comment decided their plan for that day. Anders announced to his men that they could take a break for several days, and all of them cheered. They had earned a lot of gold coins from dungeon diving, but had not had any time to spend them. Anton told Raymond that Anders and he would go into the dungeon and inform those who wanted to know their whereabouts. The butler assured them that he knew what to do, so without further ado, Anton and Anders entered the portal that led to one of the rooms in the hotel near the entrance to the Corridors of Amuneta dungeon.
Anton took the lead and requested the portal key to the 30th floor since Anders still did not have the authority to go that deep. The two immediately went to the dungeon and had not prepared anything else since everything they might need was already inside Anton’s inventory. Anders also copied his son’s habit of storing essential items, so his spatial amulet also contained a lot of things that would allow a person to survive anywhere for a long period of time.
“Father, don’t hesitate to spam your Paladin skills since your Insight Spear would be able to support your mana expenditures,” Anton told his father.
“I know. I’ve read the guides you provided. One advantage I have over normal players of your game was that my ability to equip the Insight Spear, even though I’m technically a level one Paladin,” Anton said.
Anton was grateful for that one major loophole that his Diablo II system allowed him to have. The equipment that he transferred from the game to real life did not have level requirements and could be equipped by anyone at level one. If one thought about it, it was a little logical because, supposedly, the items were for him, and Anton’s level was supposed to be high enough to equip all items from his Diablo II system by the time he transferred the items from inside his system to the real world.
He summoned all of his summons, then set up his small tent on top of his Dire Bear. He then gave the command to his summon to hold the dungeon monster or delay them, so that Anders could kill them.
During the first few groups of monsters, Anton did not enter his small tent and observed his father’s battle. When he took note that Anders was safe in the middle of all of his summons, that was the time he erected his small tent to concentrate on leveling up his ladder Sorceress character. He only stopped when he heard his father calling him for lunch. When Anton checked the time using his browser, it was exactly noon.
When Anton left his small tent, he was surprised to see that his father had already prepared lunch for the two of them. There was even a table and two chairs. He noticed that his father also looked like he had taken a bath since he and his clothes looked clean.
“I memorized the Cleaning Spell. It’s a practical spell,” Anders said when he saw his son notice his clean clothes.
“So how was it?” Anton asked Anders while they were eating.
“I’m already level 6. As per your suggestion, I’m putting a single point in every skill so I can check how they worked. You’re correct that we can’t follow the guides exactly as they were written, since they do not apply to the types of enemies we’re fighting. It would probably take time before I found my own personal build. Thankfully, I can reset the skill points once every week,” Anders said.
By evening, Anders had cleared out almost half of the 30th
floor. Anton’s ladder Sorceress leveled up to level 80. They set up camp, and because of all the things they had in their inventory, the camp was extremely cozy. Not only that, but because of Anton’s summons, they felt safe.
“I’m already level 12! I feel my power growing. It feels to me that the Paladin class that you’ve given me is more powerful than the Arcane Warrior class,” Anders said.
“I don’t know anything about that. Let me jump home for a bit to check if there’s any news,” Anton told his father.
He then used a Town Portal Scroll to return to the Rose Manor. Raymond informed him that there was still no official news from the government, but according to the butler’s sources, a decision had already been made and would be disseminated to everyone in two days. After hearing that, Anton returned, entered his town portal, and dismissed it.
“Raymond told me that Ormunda already had a decision regarding their next step, but it would be announced in two days.”
“That means we have two days to complete this floor.”
“Are you planning to continue soloing the dungeon?” Anton asked his father.
“I have to conduct some tests. It was fast now since I’m the only one killing the monsters, and we’re in the deeper floors, but without you, I can only delve into the upper floors. I’ll go with my men and compare the speed if I do it alone. I will decide based on the results,” Anders said.
“I think it would be best if you stick with your men. It would be safer for everyone. Not only that, you can practice using your aura skills within a party,” Anton told his father.
The next day, Anders continued killing the dungeon monsters while Anton’s summons held them or delayed them. Anton was inside his small tent on top of his Dire Bear, leveling up his ladder Sorceress.
After two days, they finally completed the whole 30th floor of the Corridors of Amuneta Dungeon. Anders leveled up to level 24 and was extremely thrilled with all the Paladin skills that he had. At that moment, Anders’s skill points were spread haphazardly to different skills, but it did not matter since Anton’s father was in his learning phase and could reset his skills once a week.
“I can’t wait to get to level 30 and have access to the Fist of Heavin skill!” Anders told Anton excitedly.
Anton was just happy that his father was thrilled. He wondered what Anna’s reaction would be once he assigned a class to her when the new ladder season arrived.
