CHAPTER 25: CHAPTER 25 "TEAM DEATH MATCH (4)"

On the other side. All five from the red team had gathered at their respawning area while cursing only single player from blue team.

"His name is Ray," the fire user spoke while swearing at Ray, who had shattered their plan and ended their kill streak.

Even though the Red team was still in the lead, they had now lost their advantage. Their plan to farm kills and get their hands on MVP had been thwarted by an anomaly like Ray.

"That masked guy, right? His weapon isn’t a normal one," said the man with the body-strengthening ability. The fear of dying once and saving his life for a second time by inches was clearly showing in his eyes.

While they decided to change the plan and strike once again, Satoshi also came up with a plan to strike the Red team while they were still in shock.

Satoshi pointed out towards Jack, who had many injuries on his body and was just lying there lifeless but still alive. "Now that he is in this situation, let’s leave him here, and attack the enemy before they come for us."

Ray had the same idea, but he still wanted someone to stay behind with Jack, or they might face another unexpected problem.

He volunteered to be part of the attacking team, then it was Paige who also volunteered to join him. Then Satoshi also stepped forward, leaving Saud alone, who also volunteered.

However, when they faced this peculiar situation, Paige came up with an idea. "How about this!"

When they all focused on her, she continued, "Let’s have Saud stay behind for now, and if any of us die and respawn, then they’ll replace Saud to look after him." She looked at Jack with a disgusted face.

"I think this is the best," Satoshi agreed, followed by Ray, but Saud questioned, "Why should it be me who must stay behind and not one of you?"

However, he was met by their sharp gazes from the trio.

They blamed him in unison for giving away the free point to the enemy, which might become the reason for their loss. Saud, with a dejected face, had to accept their terms and agreed to stay behind.

Ray came up with a plan. "This time, I’ll take the left path while you two take the right one. Remember to stay hidden and together, and wait for my signal."

He’d commence the attack while Satoshi and Paige would join him later from another side. After this, Ray left the spawning area, followed by Paige and Satoshi.

Meanwhile, the Red team was making their own plan to stop Ray and use their numbers as an advantage against the Blue team.

However, before they could commence their plan, someone disrupted their plan. Ray stood a little far from them with a smile on his face; he waved towards them to attract their attention.

"He’s here!" The body hardening guy was the first to react, his body shivered while others became vigilant.

"That bastard! He is here, kill him!" The fire magic user yelled upon remembering how he died from Ray’s attack; he charged up towards Ray with a volley of fire.

"Too late." Ray chuckled and blasted his magic gun in their way.

"BUZZ!"

"SWOOP!"

"Save yourself!" The spear guy yelled and jumped to save himself, but this time Ray used precision to attack while maintaining the range so his attack would be more effective against the five of them.

Still, the spear-wielding guy and the shadow manipulation one somehow was able to sustain their lives from this attack.

With heavily injured bodies, they decided to run for their lives, thinking Ray might not pursue them, and they could still save themselves. However, the one waiting for them was Satoshi and Paige, who killed the remaining two after they received such a big blasted signal from Ray.

"He is such a monster." Paige looked at the area which was now flattened by Ray’s magic gun. The area in front of the safe zone of the Red team was now equally razed to the ground.

"Shit!"

"Fuck!"

The Red team cursed as they all respawned in their own safe zone. Though the safe zone area gives 15 seconds immunity to the respawned player, right now they all are the target of the trio from the Blue team.

It didn’t take much time for them all to die once again. However, as soon as 15 kills were completed from a total of 30 kills from any one of the two teams, The players’ movement halted with the notification.

[The battle starts in 10...9...8...]

Suddenly, they all found themselves in the opposite arena with the Red team’s points at 13 kills and the Blue teams at 15 kills.

"The gap isn’t much, and unlike last time that we succeeded to surprised them, this second round might not be as easy as before."

Ray shared his thoughts and waited for others to share theirs.

Satoshi agreed with him and asked Paige and Ray, one of them to stand guard here against Jack, who was back to full HP.

Paige looked at Ray. "I would volunteer myself to go and let you guard him, but seeing how your attacks have a higher range of destruction than ours, I don’t think you should stay while we might mess up the whole lead."

Satoshi asked as they left the safe zone, "Are we following the same strategy or a different one?"

Ray thought for a while, "I don’t think the same strategy will work again. They might even have already hid themselves in a position which might be less advantages to us."

Saud, who was listening from behind, spoke with the strategy in his mind. "What if one of us becomes bait to find their hiding spots and the two others will cover him?"

Satoshi turned to face Saud, "You wish to be the bait?"
