CHAPTER 43: CHAPTER 43 "THE PENT HOUSE"

"Amazing..." Ray shared his thoughts.

’This place is far better than I had imagined.’ The place had everything that he needed, including privacy and basic facilities.

Ray thought about looking at another remaining property, but then he quickly changed his mind. The current place was already to his liking.

At the same time, Morgan asked, "Sir, now we can move to the next destination. It isn’t far from this place."

Ray turned to him, "No need to do that; this is the final one."

"What!"

Morgan made bewildered expressions. Even at this moment, he thought Ray might look at another property and then reject it, saying he didn’t like it, but here he was in a different scenario.

"Let’s go back and finalize the remaining process. I don’t have much time to waste." Ray’s words jolted Morgan back to reality.

"Okay, sir." Morgan couldn’t express his feelings as he led Ray back to the municipal building.

While they were on the way, Sunny, the owner of Sunny Properties, returned from the municipal office.

"Where is Morgan?" she asked upon seeing Morgan was missing.

"He is on the tour," said one of the remaining two men. His voice was laced with mockery for Morgan.

Sunny didn’t notice it and asked in a serious tone, "Do we have a client today? What property are they looking for?"

Both of them looked at each other, then chuckled, "Morgan is stupid; he believed a boy who couldn’t even afford a room, and he was talking about buying the whole property."

Sunny finally saw that they were mocking Morgan, but at first, she chose to ignore it. Instead, she asked, "Tell me what property they are looking at?"

They replied, "The penthouse we have on sale and the independent villa." Then another one added, "Not the government one, but the other one."

Now Sunny also had doubts, so she went to her cabin and decided to look at the footages to see who the customer was.

’He is indeed young, but...’ Sunny thought as she looked at the CCTV footage.

Her eyes were on Ray, who looked young, but that doesn’t mean she’d look down on him like the two others.

She then dialed Morgan to ask about the deal. However, her eyes darted to the two incoming figures.

It was Morgan and Ray who were back. Seeing this, the other two dealers laughed, "Didn’t I tell you that he’ll be back in no time?"

The other one with raised eyebrows looked at Ray, "But what about that boy? Why would he return with Morgan if he isn’t here for buying one?"

Sunny got up from her seat as her gaze landed on Ray. She had doubts in her heart too, but Sunny still decided to ask.

"So, have you seen the properties?" she asked, which Ray nodded at with a questioning gaze. "You are?"

"OH! I’m late to introduce myself. I’m Sunny, the owner of Sunny Properties."

"I’m Ray." He first introduced himself, then continued, "We were out to look at the two properties but just seeing the first one, I decided not to look at the other."

This confused Sunny who only thought one thing, ’Another fake customer.’ Even the two other dealer couldn’t stop their mocking laugh towards Morgan and Ray.

However, Ray added, "I liked the penthouse so much that I decided to buy it."

The sudden laugh of the other two dealers froze when they heard this while Sunny’s confused face turned into a sudden smile.

"Are you finalizing the penthouse?" She asked.

Ray nodded, "Yes, I have asked Mr. Morgan to prepare the deed, as I have not much time in my hand."

Sunny thought what made him say it, but she didn’t dare to question Ray, instead she asked one final time.

"So, should we finalize the deal?" Sunny asked.

Ray nodded. Just then, Morgan returned with the paperwork.

Ray quickly looked over the documents and signed the deal for one million seventy-two thousand, with an additional five thousand for taxes and paperwork.

The other two dealers were still in shock, watching the entire transaction unfold. They just couldn’t believe what they were seeing.

Ray decided to leave and start the moving process. Sunny, seeing this, told Morgan to assist him.

"Morgan," Sunny called out, "Go with Mr. Ray and help him with anything he needs for the move."

Morgan, still beaming from closing the big deal, replied, "Of course, boss! I’ll make sure everything goes smoothly for him."

Once Ray had left, one of the two dumbfounded dealers quickly messaged the manager at Dunken Properties, spilling the beans about the deal.

The Dunkens had been trying to take over the market, and Ray’s sudden appearance had completely thrown off their plans.

Soon, the news of Sunny Properties’ million-dollar sale became the talk of the dealer market, much to the annoyance of the people behind Dunken Properties.

In the office of Dunken Properties, located within the same municipal building, a man with a bald spot on the top of his head cursed as he read the message. "Fools, can’t even scare a single customer," he fumed.

Across from him sat a slightly heavy-set man whose fingers were filled with gold rings. "Boss, what happened? Did we lose a deal?" he asked.

The man with the bald spot, the manager of Dunken Properties, slammed his fist on the desk. "A million! That tiny Sunny Properties just bagged a million-dollar deal right under our noses!"

His face was red with anger. "And it’s all because those idiots couldn’t even scare off a single customer!"

He glared at the man with the gold rings. "Fujima!"

Fujima flinched slightly. "Yes, boss?"

"I want you to find this customer, Ray, who bought that pent house," the manager ordered, his voice low and menacing. "And I want you to make him cancel that deed. Fast. We can’t let this stand."

Fujima nodded, tightening his gold rings. "Consider it done, boss. I’ll get right on it."
