My Garbage Collecting Cheat-Skill in Survival Game
Chapter 52 "Arms Deal"
CHAPTER 52: CHAPTER 52 "ARMS DEAL"
Before meeting with the shady arms dealer, Ray made a quick stop at the game shop to pick up a headset for Apex Survival.
There he bought two headsets, one for Old Man Shan and one for Ahana, while storing a couple more in case he needed them.
In his mind, he was hoping to find a way to have more ability users like him on his side so they would have a better chance of survival.
Even without knowing the full extent of the coming apocalypse, Ray understood it wouldn’t be a normal event.
To prepare for the worst, he began storing everything in his pocket dimension, leaving the Old Man and Ahana to manage things in his absence.
When they learned about the apocalypse, Ahana and the Old Man decided to organize the infinite space of the pocket dimension in a systematic way.
"Meanwhile, it’s better you two also log in to the game and begin challenging the mini-game. Also, contact these people; just tell them that it’s an emergency, so be prepared for when I contact them, they’ll also help you when inside the game."
Ray gave them some instructions and left for the given coordinates.
Once he entered the place which resembled a vehicle junkyard with old-looking garages, he stopped at the iron gate, which was the place indicated on the piece of paper.
"You there," someone called from inside the gates.
Ray pulled the piece of paper out and showed it to the man, who looked at it for a few seconds and then opened the gate. "You’re alone, right?"
Ray nodded. "Yes, you can check."
The man didn’t check and let Ray drive inside the gates with his car. Then the man got inside the car, and with a surprised expression, he asked, "Is this yours? Nice car, man."
"Yes, thanks," Ray answered as he drove 400 meters and stopped in front of the big, factory-like shed.
"We stop here. Now just follow me."
Ray did as he was told, leaving his car behind.
The man opened the tin door, then after a few meters, there was an iron door. He stopped at it and knocked. Someone from inside slid open a small space on the gate to look at the man and Ray, then opened the gate.
Once inside, the man took Ray upstairs where dozens of men and women were present.
Some were indulged in doing their own things, while the man sitting on the sofa had a woman on his lap. He was caressing her skin just when he saw Ray entering the room.
The man with Ray went to the man and whispered something in his ears. Then the one on the sofa spoke, "I heard you need weapons? Since you were sent by our own guy, then I’ll not go into details."
He extended his hand, which was just a moment ago caressing the woman. Ray had no choice but to shake his hands. "I’m Leonardo, the Junkyard boss."
Ray didn’t introduce himself; instead, he asked, "I need to see the weapons."
"You are in a hurry, brother. Well, okay..." Leonardo got up, throwing the woman on the sofa. "Wait here, baby girl, I’ll be back soon."
"Come, brother, come this way." He took Ray to another room, where hundreds of weapons were stored. "Choose what you want."
Ray glanced at all the weapons and chose them one by one.
At first, Leonardo had a smiley face, but soon it turned dark when Ray decided to buy the majority of them, from handguns to long-range weapons like snipers.
"Wait, brother," Leonardo spoke in a panic. "Those things aren’t for sale."
He expected Ray to only be there for one or two guns, so he was shocked when Ray started asking to buy many weapons that had already been sold to someone else but hadn’t been delivered yet.
"I’m ready to pay for them," Ray spoke.
The weapons aren’t much, like only more than a dozen, and many of them were already sold.
Leonardo spoke, "Those are already sold. You can only take those six at this moment, or these two." There were six handguns and rifles, while one was an AR-15, and the only sniper was a Barrett M82.
"Then I need all of them."
Ray couldn’t persuade him, nor did he want to. He wasn’t building an army, so he agreed to buy whatever he could get his hands on.
Leonardo was still surprised for what reason Ray wanted to buy all of these, but in his type of business, they don’t ask questions, so he agreed to sell all the eight guns.
Once the deal was done and Ray paid the needed amount, he asked, "I need one more thing."
Leonardo was again surprised. "If you are looking for things other than these then I don’t think I can provide them at this moment."
He thought Ray was asking for more firearms but Ray asked for something he wasn’t expecting.
"I saw those metal junk outside your place, do you want to sell them?" This time Leonardo couldn’t help but ask, "What do you need junk for?"
Ray decided to be discreet, "That’s something I can’t disclose."
"Well, if you want it then you can take as much as you want." Leonardo agreed and gave the price.
Soon everything was settled. Leonardo packed all the items and had his men deliver them to Ray’s car.
Once they were outside, Leonardo looked at Ray’s Hummer and asked, "This is something different than usual. By any chance, are you selling this?"
Ray smirked. "Not this one, but I can give you another one if we meet again," hinting to Leonardo that they might meet again.
Leonardo wasn’t surprised by Ray’s words. He nodded in acknowledgment then asked, "What about the junk you have paid for? It’s in tons; you’ll need dumpers for them. Do you want me to contact someone?"
Ray stopped him. "No need, I’ll take care of it."
Leonardo thought Ray might have his own connections so he then returned inside while Ray left. But as he passed by the junk which resembled small hills, he used his skill and stored all of it in his pocket dimension.
