CHAPTER 55: CHAPTER 55 "JAIL BREAK (2)"

There was silence on the other side. Then they spoke, "I’ll see that myself, but what about the identity of the assailant?"

The officer answered, "It’s not confirmed yet. Whoever it is, he is inside that car, and unfortunately, our bullets can’t penetrate its defenses."

With another bout of disbelief, the man on the other side shouted over the phone, "Then use RLs or heavy weapons! I want that person captured, dead or alive."

"BOOM!"

With another blast, the whole front wall of the prison tore, and its rubble spread everywhere.

"We have orders from above, use heavy machine guns, and go bring a launcher from the weapon depot." Officer yelled, seeing the destruction caused by Ray’s armored car.

Ignoring all of it, Ray looked at the cells where prisoners were and just then his eyes landed on a group with Rohan among them.

He accelerated the car towards the cell’s gates, which he then blasted. There were six prisoners in each room, everyone cowering in fear, while the prison guards didn’t stop firing, even when the car was getting closer to the prisoners.

They didn’t care about their lives, and this only made Ray decide to open fire on them. The barrel of his LMG rotated towards the prison guards who had a bad premonition in their hearts.

Just then, "BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR," with a single burst, Ray killed dozens of them. Seeing this massacre, the other guards stopped firing and began taking cover to save themselves.

Ray, on the other hand, used his pocket dimension skill on the six men in front, including Rohan and his father.

"SWOOP," and they vanished.

Those who saw this were stunned; the prisoners from other cells had grim expressions on their faces. But before they could react, one after another, they began to vanish while the guards and even the officer could only watch from the side.

It didn’t take long before almost 60-70 villagers vanished in front of their eyes. At the same time, one of the guards rushed forward with a rocket launcher.

Seeing this, the officer was filled with hope. "Blast that shit, kill the bastard!" he shouted. The guard was shivering as he had seen many of the other guards dead, with some of them having their heads split in two.

Still, he fired. "Boom!"

The launcher hit the car, and Ray saw the notification: [Durability: 99.67%].

It didn’t do much damage, just scratched a little paint on the car. However, Ray knew that he had hastily modified this vehicle, and he needed to make it more enhanced, especially with the arrays, which he would have to find soon, once he logged into the game.

"Shit, it didn’t work!" the officer cursed. After that, he saw the barrel of the car ready to shoot toward them; however, it wasn’t the LMG this time.

Ray decided to get rid of them once and for all and used the cannon.

"BOOOOOOM!"

The officer’s eyes widened, but he couldn’t do anything against the weapon that blasted his existence into oblivion.

Once he was done, both the car and Ray also vanished as Ray reappeared with his car inside the pocket dimension. However, he hadn’t thought that he’d meet with a loud commotion and two arguing groups.

But once they saw Ray and the car appearing from thin air, they all stopped. The destruction of prison was still lingering freshly in their minds.

"Brother Ray!" Ahana exclaimed as she approached Ray, with Rohan behind her, his eyes filled with a questioning gaze.

Ray met his gaze and raised his eyebrows in a counter-question, "Why do you look so surprised?" he asked.

"You’re asking this! Ray, what’s going on? How did things turn out like this, and where is this place?" Rohan asked, looking around him.

This time, it was Ray’s turn to be surprised. He looked at Ahana. "Didn’t you tell them about our situation?"

Ahana sighed in defeat. "I tried, but these people weren’t ready to listen. They were even threatening to attack us if we didn’t free them."

Ray followed her gaze and looked at thirty-something people in one group.

They also looked at Ray, and upon seeing that he was just a young man, a middle-aged man in a white sando gathered his courage and spoke, "I’ll say this again to you, too. Why did you abduct us? Let us leave, or we’ll take matters into our own hands."

Ray’s intention wasn’t to imprison them after taking them out of one prison; he wanted to save them. He could understand their anxiety, but seeing them become aggressive made him feel that not everyone deserved to be saved.

He then calmly spoke, "I can understand your situation, but first I need you to listen. After that, you can go back to your home if you want, or you can bring your family here so they can be saved."

However, he again met with resistance. The man said, "We don’t want to listen to anything. Let us go. We have already made an agreement with the government to sell our lands."

Ray chuckled. "Stupid!"

"How dare you, boy?" the man retorted, but the memories of the destruction were still fresh in his mind, so he didn’t continue with his curses.

"You don’t know what’s coming for you. A great destruction is coming, and I’m trying to save as many as I can. Millions of people will lose their lives, and those bastards in the government won’t save you after throwing you out of your own lands," Ray replied, but alas, no one believed him.

In the end, Ray lost his composure. "Fine, those who want to leave, just stand here."

Some hesitated, but then almost all of them chose to leave, only leaving seven people including Rohan and his father.

Ray repeated, "Are you sure about this? I’m telling you that nothing good will come if you leave now." But no one believed him, and the reason was something a government agent had told them.
