    The man known as Brother Yao smiled slightly, “What’s up?

    She’s a cop, and you’re a thief!”

    Yu Yueying didn’t say a word, sensing an instinctive danger as the group around her was amped up like they were on steroids.

    Some of the thieves continued on without wait for Brother Yao’s decision, moving forward to grab Yu Yueying, but she swiftly caught a wrist and, with a quick maneuver, flipped him to the ground.

    Seeing their fellow thief yelp like a slaughtered pig, the rest burst out laughing.

    “Dalmatian, you’re really useless, can’t even handle a woman.”

    Brother Yao hesitated.

    After all, police and thieves were natural enemies, and this woman definitely couldn’t be released!

    “Catch her.”

    “Okay, just you wait,” grumbled some of the thieves as they began climbing the not-so-high wall easily.

    Having eaten his fill and feeling energized, Li Chen shook his head, “This silly girl, always has to come to the rescue herself.” He stopped joking around and with a swift move, he stepped on the head of a thief and, like an immortal soaring, flew towards Yu Yueying, wrapped an arm around her, and whisked her away over the crowd towards another wall.

    Landing steadily, Li Chen asked with a smile he thought charming,” Am I handsome or what?”

    “Let go of your hand first!” Yu Yueying snapped.

    Realizing his hand placement, Li Chen grinned sheepishly, “Sorry, sorry, didn’t notice.” Then he removed his hand from her ample chest.

    Bewildered, Brother Yao and the thugs were stunned, and Yu Yueying ordered, “Li Chen,quick, arrest them all.”

    “Why should I?

    I’m not a cop.” Li Chen feigned a yawn.

    Sleeping extra might be a better use of his time.

    Yu Yueying fumed; she trusted in Li Chen’s ability, but the man was anything but conventional.

    “Li Chen, they’ve stolen over a hundred times, affecting Linchuan’s public safety...”

    “Stop, stop, stop, I’m not buying your story,” Li Chen interrupted quickly.

    “If you want my help, you could, unless you...”

    He didn’t finish his sentence, instead chuckling as he glanced towards Yu Yueying’s chest, his hands clearly itching to reach for it.

    The message was clear: he’d deal with the thieves if he could cop a feel.

    “I agree,” Yu Yueying, furious enough to want to beat up Li Chen but finding no other option, relented, “but only after you’ve caught them.”

    “All right,” Li Chen energized like he was on fire, “You all heard it, hands up and surrender, it’ll save me unnecessary trouble in flirting.”

    The thieves looked at Li Chen as if he were a madman, “Stop messing around, who the hell do you think you are, Huo Yuanjia?”

    “Obstinate fool,” Li Chen said dropping his playful tone, dashing down like a tiger leaping on its prey, lightning-fast.

    He then rapidly weaved through the crowd, throwing bodies into a pile in the middle.

    In just over a dozen seconds, more than fifty thieves had been stacked into a heap.

    After dusting off his hands, Li Chen turned to Yu Yueying, “How about that?”

    “There’s one more!” Yu Yueying urgently pointed out, “The one in red from earlier, don’t let him escape!”

    Li Chen was dumbfounded, “Since when did Yu Yueying turn so crafty?

    Is this really the same Yu Yueying I knew before?”
