CHAPTER 93: [CHAPTER - 84] - RESCUE BECOMES ROBBERY
Chapter - 84
With the two men down, A thick silence dropped over the ballroom.
Lucius stood above the two with his shirt slightly red with blood, while blood trickled down his chin. His one eye had already begun to swell, and his cheeks have turned bluish because of the bruises.
But none of it mattered. His lips were curled up in a sharp, mocking smirk.
The musicians had long since stopped playing the music.
The guests took a step back instinctively. With the two men down, the air felt heavy. A few men reached for their phones, but to their surprise, there was no signal.
Women, on the other hand, clutched their wine glasses tightly. Was it out of fear, it was not entirely true.
Victor’s expression twisted as he straightened his suit, trying to regain his posture.
"You have made a big mistake," Victor growled, though his voice trembled slightly, "You are finished. Do you have any idea who I am?"
"Didn’t we already go through with the discussions earlier, son?" Lucius smirked, "I know who you are... Who your father is..."
"And I might soon have a private chat with your mother. I need to discuss with her how naughty you are."
Lucius took one slow step forward, and Victor instinctively stepped back.
Just then, one of the men from the crowd, perhaps foolishly or just to Victor stepped between them, drawing attention.
"You should have stayed down, punk," the man snapped, charging Lucius with clenched fists.
But Lucius just bent down a bit and ducked the man’s wide punch. He then grabbed his forearm mid-air, and pulled him forward, driving a savage elbow into his gut.
The man gasped, but before he could bend forward, Lucius flipped him over his shoulder. The man landed with a heavy thud on the marble floor, groaning in pain.
But Lucius didn’t even look at him, his eyes were still locked on Victor.
Gasps echoed.
"This guy is so awesome?" an older businessman whispered behind his glass of champagne.
[Nothing can be more precious than Reputation]

Victor’s composure cracked as he watched his men go down so easily, and his hand moved toward his belt.
Lucius looked at him as he watched Victor pull out a sleek black pistol. He pointed it straight at Lucius.
"Don’t you dare take a step forward. One shot and it will be over for you."
Lucius didn’t even blink. He took another step forward, and Victor’s finger tensed on the trigger, sweat drops formed on his forehead.
Lucius continued to step forward until he was just a couple of feets away from Victor, and then he made his move.
In a flash, Lucius’s hand snatched Victor’s wrist and twisted it backward with brutal force. The gun dropped from his hand.
Lucius caught it mid-air, disassembled the pistol with fluid, professional motions, bullets were out, and the barrel dropped, and this all happened before Victor could regain his balance.
The parts clattered to the floor, and Lucius followed up with a sharp kick to Victor’s shin, making him stumble forward.
And as he bent forward, Lucius backhanded him across the face. Victor spun and crashed into the decorative pillar beside the stairs.
The room gasped.
But right now, Lucius didn’t care about anyone. He walked up to him and leaned down slightly.
"You better pray I don’t get bored tonight," Lucius whispered into his ear, low and dangerous.
Victor coughed and wiped his bleeding lip, now glaring at Lucius like a caged animal. He wanted to yell, he wanted to curse, and he wanted to fight back. But all he could do was gulp down the insult.
But soon help came his way. The event’s security team had finally arrived. Seven uniformed men in suits and vests burst into the ballroom from the side hallway, armed with batons, stun rods, and walkies.
"STEP AWAY FROM THE GUEST!" one of them shouted, pointing at Lucius.
Lucius turned his head slightly, sighing.
"You guys are worse than the police... so late"
The guards rushed at once.
The first guard swung his baton, straightaway aiming for Lucius’s head. But Lucius casually blocked it with his forearm, grabbed the baton, twisted it out of the guard’s hands, and swung it, breaking the guard’s knee.
CRACK.
"Aghhhh!" The unsavory scream of the guard reverberated in the ballroom as he dropped on the floor.
But this did not discourage the others from keep coming at him.
The second and third guards came at once.
The second guard tried to hit Lucius with the stun gun. Lucius twisted his body just enough to dodge the stun gun.
In the meantime, the third guard reached Lucius. Lucius rammed his shoulder into the guard’s chest. But before he could stumble away, Lucius grabbed him by the collar and put him between him and the second guard who was about to attack again.
The second guard was about to electrocute Lucius, but just as the third guard came in the way, he could not stop himself. He rammed the stun gun into his friend’s back.
At the same time Lucius let go of the collar, and hurled the stolen baton like a dart, hitting the guard standing closest to him on the face.
Lucius then turned and kicked the second guard who was twitching from the aftermath of the current running through his body, but still standing, in the chest.
The third guard went flying towards the second guard behind him and the two of them went and crashed into the piano.
And just like that, three more were down within a minute.
But in all this, Lucius missed the fifth one as he managed to jab Lucius’s side with a taser.
But since he just managed to gaze Lucius, Lucius spun and kicked the man square in the chest. The taser flew out of the man’s hands. And then swung both his hands, slapping the man from both sides. After that, he just collapsed on the ground
Iris who was slouched on the couch could not enjoy the show. Somehow she always manages to miss the action when Lucius is involved.
But who didn’t miss a single beat was Lilith. Standing in the corner with her arms crossed she watched every move of Lucius.
As she looked at him, her blue eyes shone and turned gray.
"He had so much potential," Lilith murmured to herself. Her voice had a hint of admiration as well as regret. The lust from before was gone.
"If only I have met you earlier. You could have been the perfect one to help me."
While Lilith was going through her own regret, the last two guards hesitated to make a move on Lucius.
But Lucius right now just wanted to have some peace, and for that he needed the two of them on the floor.
So Lucius picked up two fallen batons from the ground, and he walked forward
The two guards tried to hold formation, but Lucius struck one’s arm with a clean strike, disarming him, then spun and kicked the other across the jaw. One baton was tossed into the air as Lucius elbowed the other man in the gut and swung him over his shoulder onto his partner.
A groaning pile of security guards now lay sprawled across the ballroom floor.
Lucius stepped over them and walked to the nearest table.
He crushed the remaining stun rods under his foot and snapped a few walkies in half.
"Trash," he muttered.
Dead silence.
He turned slowly, locking eyes with Victor, who had again moved and was now standing in front of Iris. He was seething with pain and anger.
As Lucius got near him, Victor raised his hands to protect his face, expecting another blow, but Lucius just walked past him.
Lucius finally stopped in front of Iris, and slowly crouched beside her.
She lay slouched, her face pale, eyes half-closed. She looked up at him, dazed. Her lips parted as if trying to say something.
Lucius gently lifted her head, fixing the strands of hair that had fallen across her face.
"You and your ego," he whispered, "You could have just asked."
Behind him, Lilith walked up quietly and stood beside him, a faint smirk on her lips.
Lucius turned his gaze upward to the crowd.
Hundreds of eyes were on him.
"Now," Lucius said calmly, his voice loud enough for all to hear, "I believe it’s time we discuss payment."
The crowd blinked.
"Payment?" someone asked.
"What payment? I don’t owe you anything," someone else called out.
"Whatever is there between you and Victor, it has nothing to do with us." An old man spoke up, "You can settle it between the two of you. And we won’t intervene."
"How nice of you," Lucius stood, brushing off his shirt, "I came here to crash this party, take this girl away with me and leave."
"But now I have changed my mind. Now I am going to rob every single one of you."
