CHAPTER 146: THE BATHROOM IS THE SANCTUARY OF DRAMA

Joshua couldn’t help but steal a glance at Arthur.

He lowered his eyes, and his usually gentle, handsome face now carried a hint of sadness.

Joshua didn’t quite know what to say and muttered, "But you never contacted me."

That was true. Clearly, Arthur hadn’t reached out either. No matter what, it should have been a mutual understanding between the two of them, not Arthur condemning him.

Arthur couldn’t help but curl his lips into a smile—a faint, helpless smile. He parted his lips to speak, but before he could say anything, it was as if he sensed something. He immediately stepped back.

At the same time, Henry’s strong foot pressed down exactly where Arthur had just been standing.

It was obvious that if Arthur hadn’t moved quickly, his foot would have been "accidentally" stepped on by Henry.

Arthur looked up and saw Henry standing firmly in front of Joshua, his expression always cold and intimidating. Now, he furrowed his brow at Arthur, as if looking at a corpse.

The smile on Arthur’s face didn’t change at all, only his eyes narrowed slightly, eyes deep and unfathomable.

The two of them faced each other in silence. At that moment, a small head suddenly peeked out from Henry’s side.

Joshua glanced at Arthur, then looked up at Henry, tugging lightly at his jacket hem.

Henry immediately grabbed Joshua’s hand. Arthur frowned at the scene, his thumb digging into the flesh of his forefinger until it almost drew blood.

Finally, he gave Joshua a gentle smile: "I hope you’ll be happy."

Then he turned and walked away.

Joshua watched Arthur’s retreating figure. Just then, his hand was suddenly gripped tightly, pulling his thoughts back. He looked up and saw Henry staring at him with a serious expression. Joshua could even see a trace of helplessness in his eyes.

Then Henry spoke softly: "Don’t get involved with Arthur."

Joshua almost immediately nodded vigorously, rubbing Henry’s hands with both of his own and assuring him, "I won’t get involved with him. Henry, don’t be upset."

The people nearby were silent, looking at Henry’s cold expression, wondering how Joshua could even see him as upset.

Leonard suddenly pinched Joshua’s cheek slightly and said disapprovingly, "Alright, you wouldn’t listen when I said it, but as soon as Henry scares you a little, you obey immediately, huh?"

Luther, on the side, added, "Joshua, we really spoiled you too much."

Joshua: "..." This script is bizarre.

He couldn’t help but say, "Everyone’s lines sound like they’re from some cheesy romance movie."

The others chuckled. Although interrupted a bit, the atmosphere still felt harmonious.

Besides, ShineOn was going to perform at this party.

Before going on stage, Joshua, either from nerves or having drunk too much water, slipped away to use the bathroom.

Luther wanted to follow him a step or two behind, but Joshua threatened to kick him, and he finally stopped.

The bathrooms here were not only spacious but also clean, with multiple stalls and separate rooms.

Joshua quickly slipped into a stall near the door.

But before he could take care of business, footsteps suddenly echoed. It wasn’t the sound that caught him—it was what the person was saying that was far too noticeable.

"Luis, haha, leaving Atius? Sooner or later, it’ll collapse. By the way, have the rumors about his dating been spread yet? I’ve got a few photos here that could cause some misunderstandings..."

Joshua had been through something like this before. Instinctively, he pulled out his phone and started recording.

The guy seemed to think the bathroom was empty, speaking very cheerfully, utterly unconcerned about being overheard.

It wasn’t until everything fell silent that Joshua finished up and opened the door to leave.

But as he reached the sink to wash his hands, he noticed something left behind.

"Oh no..." Joshua muttered. At that moment, the footsteps returned. He quickly dried his hands and hurried out of the bathroom.

Mas, seeing Joshua rush out, was stunned. His eyes widened, thoughts racing uncontrollably.

He almost immediately gave chase.

Meanwhile, Joshua ran into someone unexpected—Luis, the very person who was the target of the bathroom plot.

He parted his lips, about to say something, but Luis suddenly reached out and pulled him to the side, causing Mas to miss entirely.

Mas glared at Luis, furious, then turned his gaze back to Joshua.

Joshua was pulled into Luis’s side for a moment, paused, and then quickly straightened up. With a slightly embarrassed and anxious expression, he looked at Mas and asked, "Is something wrong?"

He blinked, his eyes wide and vacant, as if he genuinely didn’t understand why Mas had suddenly latched onto him like that.

Luis, meanwhile, gave Mas a cold stare.

Mas was his representative, yet after Luis’s contract ended, they would no longer have any connection. And right now, Mas was constantly making things difficult for him, which only made him feel disgusted and annoyed.

On top of that, Mas had a notorious reputation in the entertainment industry. He often "sold" naive young idols who didn’t know better. So the moment Luis saw Mas chasing after Joshua, he acted immediately. Even though he knew Joshua wasn’t part of Atius Group, he still didn’t want an innocent person to be tainted by Mas’s dirty hands.

Mas furrowed his brow at Joshua’s expression, gritting his teeth in anger. But with Luis here, he couldn’t speak out directly.

All he could do was glare at Joshua with his murky eyes: "You’d better know what you’re doing!"

But just as he finished speaking, a cold voice rang out: "Know what?"

Mas looked up and saw Henry approaching, his expression icy.

Mas’s heart involuntarily sank. He obviously couldn’t dare touch Henry.

As soon as Joshua heard Henry’s voice, his eyes lit up.

He nodded at Luis, then ran to Henry, standing behind him and clutching the sleeve of his jacket.

Luis watched the graceful, flowing movements of the young idol.

Just moments ago, Joshua had acted innocent beside him, but now, standing behind Henry, he resembled a small, happy little creature, chin lifted proudly. If he had a tail, it would surely be wagging gleefully.

Mas, furious but powerless, could only silently apologize before retreating.

"Henry, you’re so cool, haha."

Henry turned to look at Joshua’s sparkling, joyful eyes, and the corner of his mouth lifted slightly. He raised his hand to pat Joshua’s head, but thought better of it—Joshua’s hair was styled for their performance soon, so instead, he lightly patted Joshua’s cheek.

Joshua rubbed his face against Henry’s hand, then ran forward. Looking at Luis, he said softly, "Thank you for pulling me just now. Can we be friends? You’re my idol."

Luis was slightly surprised. He hadn’t thought Joshua was his fan, yet, facing Joshua’s earnest eyes, he didn’t refuse.

Henry, standing nearby and watching Luis and Joshua close together, couldn’t help but frown slightly. Since when had Joshua become a fan of Luis?
