My Investment God System
Chapter 36: Car Shopping
CHAPTER 36: CAR SHOPPING
The place Zack had in mind wasn’t just any car dealership, it was high end.
The kind where luxury cars sat on spotless showroom floors, polished to a mirror shine. Maximus glanced around, taking in the sleek modern and expensive looking cars.
Each one looked like a beast waiting to be unleashed on to the asphalt.
A salesman in a crisp suit approached them, offering a professional smile.
"Gentlemen, welcome. Looking for something special today?"
Zack clapped a hand on Maximus’s shoulder. "My man here needs something fast and shiny... Something that could draw the eye of people when he dashed by!"
"But not at a ridiculous price kind sir... Think under ten million" Maximus cut in nonchalantly.
Maximus flashed Zack a flat look. "You realize how insane that still sounds, right?"
"Hey we’re not here to by some washed up SUV or some shit like that." Zack shot back. "We need power."
The salesman nodded, immediately shifting gears. "Of course, I have just the selection for you. Right this way kind Sirs."
They were led post the ultra elite models, the ones that bordered on art pieces rather than actual vehicles. Maximus barely spared them a glance.
He wasn’t looking for a collectors item just something that could keep up. The salesman stopped near a row of cars with sleek, aggressive builds.
"Now," the salesman gestured, "if you’re looking for something exhilarating but not excessive. I’d recommend these."
Maximus eyed the cars, immediately drawn to a McLaren 720S. It had a streamlined design, it’s deep metallic blue paint reflecting the overhead lights like liquid sapphire.
"Now this," the salesman continued, noticing Maximus’s interest, "It is a McLaren 720s, one of the finest supercars in its class. 710 horsepower, 0 to 60 in under 2.9 seconds, and an incredible aerodynamics package. It’s a favorite among professional racers and enthusiasts alike."
Maximus ran his hand along the car’s frame, feeling the smooth finish. "And the price?"
The salesman smiled. "A little over 300,000 dollars. Quite reasonable for it’s performance."
Maximus hummed in thought. The price wasn’t an issue, this was far below his actual budget. But did it have the presence he needed?
Zack clapped. "Damn, I like it. But let’s keep looking, no harm in seeing all the options."
Maximus nodded, stepping back as they moved further down the row.
They stepped on front of a Ferrari f9 nest, sleek, aggressive and undeniably fast, it had a presence that commanded attention.
"This is the limited edition Ferrari f9," the salesman continued. "A V8 twin- turbo charged engine, 710 horsepower and an absolutely jaw dropping design. One of the fastest in its class."
Maximus had to admit, it looked good.
The scarlet red body and the signature Ferrari prancing horse emblem exuded prestige.
"And the cost?" He asked.
"Roughly 275,000 dollars," the salesman said smoothly.
Maximus exhaled. The price to performance ratio here was excellent and he liked the feel of it.
Zack nudged him. "Man you’d look damn good in this. But I think you still need something with a little more bite."
Maximus tilted his head. "More please..."
They reached the last car, a Dreamweaver 911 turbo X. Unlike the flashier options, this one had a more understated design, but there was something deadly serious about it. A wolf in sheep’s clothing.
The salesman’s tone shifted. "This is a Dreamweaver 911 turbo X. 650 horsepower, top speed of 205 miles per hour, and a razor sharp handling system. Unlike many super cars, it’s also surprisingly practical, meaning you won’t feel like you’re driving a spaceship every time you get behind the wheel."
Maximus examined it closely. The deep gray body, the precision cut lines, the way it just sat there, looking like it was ready to launch forward at any given second.
"And the price?"
"230,000 dollars," the salesman said smoothly.
Maximus exhaled, weighing his options.
Zack leaned in. "Okay, let’s break it down. This is pure performance. And let’s be real, do you really wanna deal with Ferrari level maintenance cost?"
Maximus smirked. "You have a point..."
Maximus took another look at the Dreamweaver 911 turbo X. It had everything he needed. Power, precision and most importantly, it didn’t scream bright colours the way others did.
"Alright," Maximus finally said, "I’ll take it..."
Zack whooped. "Yeah yeah yeah boy yeah!"
The salesman’s professional smile didn’t waver, but Maximus could tell the man was pleased with the sale.
"A fantastic choice sir," he said. "Would you like to arrange for delivery or will you be driving it home today?"
Maximus smiled slightly. "I’ll take it today."
After finishing the paperwork and finalizing the deal, Maximus stepped into his new ride. The moment he started the engine, a deep, powerful growl rumbled through the car.
"Sweet!" Zack cheered.
Maximus shifted into fear. As he rolled out of the dealership, he could already feel the power at his fingertips.
Zack clapped his hands together. "Alright man, now that you’ve got the wheels..."
"Now what?"
Zack grinned mischievously. "Now? We get you on the road".
As they pulled out of the dealership and onto the city streets, Maximus could immediately feel the difference m
The Dreamweaver 911 turbo X was a machine built for precision and power, and every slight movement of the wheel translated smoothly into the cars movements.
It was responsive, aggressive and yet refined all at once.
Zack whistled from the passenger seat, leaning back with a satisfied grin. "Damn man. You picked a beauty."
Maximus smiled back at him, gripping the wheel a little tighter. "I’ll admit, it would take some getting used to... it’s a big change from using my power bike everyday."
As the weaved through traffic, it didn’t take long for Maximus to notice the attention the car was getting. Pedestrians on the sidewalks turned their heads, their eyes lingering on the sleek, deep gray body.
A couple of guys at the red light openly gawked, one of them nudging his friend and pointing. Even drivers in their r own cars stole a lingering glance, their curiosity very much evident.
Zack nodded his head, clearly enjoying the spectacle. "See what I mean? This cars got he presence. Your are officially part of the elite now."
Maximus scoffed. "It’s just a car..." He said shaking his head, but he couldn’t deny the feeling of satisfaction settling in his chest.
He’d been the type to care about appearances, but there was something undeniably enjoyable about the way the world seemed to take notice.
"You sure you know where you’re going?" Maximus asked, bringing Zack back to the task at hand.
Zack straitened in his seat, tapping at the gps monitor on the screen of the car before nodding. "Yeah, take the next right, then follow the road out towards the industrial district. There’s an sold airstrip there, completely legal, don’t worry..."
Maximus raised an eyebrow, "legal huh?"
"Exactly!"
