Chapter 67: New Sponsor
CHAPTER 67: NEW SPONSOR
As Maximus and Zack stepped further into the resort grounds, two maids approached, bowing slightly before gesturing them to follow.
They moved with practiced efficiency, leading them through the grand lobby, past towering glass windows that reflected the sunlight in shimmering patterns across the marble floor.
The resort had to be pperfect.
Not just good, not just luxurious, but perfect. Every inch of it needed to be refined, every detail aligned with Maximus’s vision of high end exclusivity.
This wasn’t just another resort, it was THE resort.
The first stop was the main lounge, which was an expansive area lined with plush seating, a fully stocked bar, and an open concept design that flowed seamlessly into an outdoor terrace.
Floor to ceiling windows showcased a panoramic view of the casting, where the ocean stretched endlessly into the horizon.
A cool breeze drifted through, carrying the scent of salt and sun warmed sand.
Maximus’s sharp gaze scanned every detail. "The furniture placement is good," he murmured, nodding to himself. "But make sure the spacing between the lounge chairs is consistent. Iff it looks even a bit off, people will be shure to notice."
One of the maids jotted it down instantly, giving him a polite nod.
They moved on, checking every major area... the Infinity pool, with its crystal clear water cascading over the edges, the beach side cabanas, lined with sheer white curtains billowing gently in the wind, the gourmet restaurants, where chefs were already running test menus in preparation for the grand opening.
Maximus’s standards were relentless.
He pointed out minor inconsistencies even to the annoyance of the interior decorators. Adjusted placement of decor, and ensured that the staff was fully briefed on their roles.
Nothing could be left to chance.
After nearly two hours of inspecting and fine tuning, Maximus finally leaned back in satisfaction. "This will work."
Zack exhaled dramatically, collapsing onto one of the lounge chairs in the VIP section.
"Damn, man. I get why you’re a perfectionist, but you could maybe take a breath now and then."
Maximus smirked but didn’t respond as he took a seat across from him.
The lounge had been set up with deep cushioned chairs, a glass coffee table between them, and a direct view of the ocean.
The sound waves crashing against the shore provided a rhythmic backdrop as he settled in.
Now that the physical setup was nearly complete, it was time to shift focus.
The resort wasn’t just about the space, it was about the brand.
He turned to Zack, resting an elbow on the arm rest. "Have anyone in mind for advertising?"
Zack grinned, already pulling out his device.
"I was hoping you’d ask." he scrolled through his contacts with ease before stopping at a name. "I had a few ideas, but I think she would be the best bet."
He tapped the screen, turning it toward Maximus.
A picture of a blonde-haired woman filled the screen, one of the city’s most well known celebrities.
She was actress, model and an influencer with a massive following. If they wanted attention, she was the one to get.
Maximus gave a slight nod. "She’d be a good choice. Her audience matches our target demographic."
"Exactly," Zack said, already dialing her number.
He leaned back as the call rang, tilting his head toward Maximus with a smirk.
"Want me to do the talking, or do you want to be the one to charm her?"
Maximus exhaled, shaking his head. "Just set the meeting."
Zack chuckled, bringing his phone to his ear.
It only rang twice before the woman picked up, her voice very much smooth and confident.
"Zack" she greeted with a great deal of amusement in her tone. "Didn’t expect to hear from you so soon. Whats the occasion?"
Zack exchanged a glance with Maximus before leaning back into his seat, his free hand swirling the untouched glass of the wine on the table.
"You know me, sweetheart, always working on something big. Listen, we have got an exclusive launch coming up for a luxury resort... good location, top tier experience, and of course the kind of event that will have the whole city talking. Thought you’d be the perfect person to put in the spotlight."
There was a pause on the other end before she hummed in interest. "Luxury resort you say? Sounds intriguing. Who else is involved?"
Zack shot maximus a smirk before answering, "I’m doing it with one of my friends and colleague... he is an investor."
The woman on the other end of the line let out a soft laugh. "Now that is interesting. I am intrigued to know more about what I am about to put my hands on and this... friend of yours. When’s the meeting?"
Zack shot Maximus another glance for confirmation.
Maximus, still relaxed in his seat, simply raised two fingers.
"Two hours from now..." Zack nodded in understanding. "fancy restaurant, private dining area. You in?"
"Send me the location ASAP," she said smoothly. "I’ll be there."
The call ended, and Zack let out a satisfied sigh, slipping his phone back in his pocket.
"And that, my friend, is how you make things happen."
Maximus exhaled, standing up form his chair. "We’ll see how the meeting goes first."
With that, they left the resort behind, heading back to Maximus’s Dreamweaver.
The drive to the restaurant was smooth, the city lights starting to flicker on as the sun dipped lower into the horizon.
The restaurant they had chosen was one of the most exclusive in the area, it was high end clientele, strict reservations, and a reputation for privacy.
As they walked in, a hostess greeted them with a polite nod before leading them toward a secluded area, away from the general guests.
The ambience was elegant but modern, a mix of warm lightning and sleek decor. Minutes later, their guest arrived.
She walked in with effortless grace, dressed in a form fitting black outfit that was both stylish and commanding.
Her red hair cascaded in perfect waves, and her confidence was evident in the way she carried herself.
As she approached their table, her sharp blue eyes flicked between the two men before settling on zack.
"I assume your the one behind the meeting?" she asked smoothly.
Zack smirked, leaning back in his chair. "Partly. But the man you really want to meet is right here." he gestured toward Maximus. "Maximus Prime..."
She turned to Maximus, studying him for a moment before arching her eyebrow. "I don’t think I have heard of you..."
Maximus remained unfazed, meeting her gaze with the same calm intensity he always carried. "Good afternoon to you too..."
She let out a small laugh, intrigued but not yet convinced. "Alright, then. What exactly am I here for?"
Zack leaned forward, his expression full of easy charm. "Were launching an exclusive resort, top tier, high class, the kind of place that only the best of get access to. And we want you to be the face of it."
She tilted her head slightly. "And why me?"
Maximus finally spoke again, his voice steady and measured. "Because we need someone who fits the image of luxury, exclusivity and influence. You have reach, and presence and you know how to command attention... if you think you’re not up to the task, you can use the door you came in from earlier."
She crossed her arms under her voluptuous breast. "That’s rude... what’s in it for me?"
Zack grinned, trying to ease the atmosphere. "Aside form a very generous compensation package you get first access. A private stay before the grand opening, full VIP treatment, and your name attached to a project that’s set to dominate the industry."
She studied them both again before a slow smirk curved her lips. "Now that sounds interesting."
After agreeing to hear more details, she leaned back in her chair, crossing one leg over the other as she signaled the waiter.
"Well, if we’re doing business, we might as well enjoy a good meal," she said, her tone light but carrying am unmistakable hint of playfulness.
Zack, always one to enjoy fine dining, grinned. "Now you’re speaking my language."
He picked up the menu and glanced at Maximus. "WAHAT ABOUT YOU, man? You good with this?"
Maximus nodded, flipping through the menu without much thought.
He wasn’t particularly hungry, but he also wasn’t in a rush to leave.
The resort launch was an important project, and securing a well known way to promote it was just another step in making sure everything went smoothly.
The woman across from him, however had other thoughts.
She rested her elbow on the table, tilting her head slightly as she studied him.
"You’re awfully quiet," she noted, amusement flickering in her blue eyes. "That a personality trait or are you just shy."
