CHAPTER 198: A WORLD WITHOUT GUIDES

YEJUN CAUGHT Wonhee before she hit the floor.

He broke the sound-proof barrier that Song Moonho created as soon as he saw Wonhee stumble even though she was just standing there.

That was how he caught her in time.

"Withdraw that hand before I freeze it," Yejun growled at Song Moonho whose hand was suspended in the air. "As if I’d let you touch my Wonhee."

He knew that Song Moonho just wanted to catch Wonhee, but it was still annoying.

[I won’t entrust Wonhee to the old man who released his bloodlust at her earlier.]

Song Moonho withdrew his hand obediently. "Chu Wonhee isn’t yours."

"That’s not for you to decide."

The old man just shrugged.

"It seems like Wonhee is already done talking to you," Yejun said. "Leave now before I kick your ass."

To be honest, he was itching to knock Song Moonho out and lock him up.

However, Soobin and Semi told him that Wonhee warned them in advance not to antagonize Song Moonho further.

[I wonder if I could at least hit the old bastard...]

"I’m just about to leave," Song Moonho said playfully, and then he looked at the members of the Big 4 one by one before his gaze returned to Yejun once again. ""Song Moonho and the core members of the Autumn Guild will raid a dungeon that takes at least a month to clear.""

"Why are you suddenly speaking like you’re reading a news report?"

"Because he is," Soobin said, scoffing. "Song Moonho sent me an email this morning. He wants me to release that particular statement to the press saying that his guild discovered a dormant Crack that takes time to be cleared. Simply put, he wants an excuse to disappear from the public’s eye."

"Well, if the outsiders find out that the Big 4 members got into a big fight again, then UAN might send stronger World Rankers this time to either invade Korea, kidnap Chu Wonhee— or both. I can’t let that happen," Song Moonho said, and then he glanced at the unconscious Wonhee in Yejun’s arms. "Not until I figure out if Chu Wonhee is an ally or a foe to me."

"Don’t look at my Wonhee," Yejun said in a deadly cold tone. "Go away, old man."

THE FIRST thing Wonhee did as soon as she regained control of her body was to bow her head in apology. "I’m really sorry for hurting you earlier."

She wasn’t in control, but she saw and heard everything.

[The older Wonhee is so mean and rude!]

"It’s alright, Hee-ya," Geon, her brother-in-law, said. It seemed like he automatically became the spokesperson for the Guides in the room. "We weren’t hurt anyway."

The others soon assured her that they were fine.

Even Kim Bora, albeit it was obvious she was awkward.

Only then did Wonhee raise her head.

The first thing she saw was Yejun’s handsome and worried face.

[It seems like he caught me when I fainted.]

"Hee-ya, are you alright?" Semi asked worriedly. "We can postpone this meeting so you can rest."

Wonhee firmly shook her head. "No, Unnie. This is something we shouldn’t delay."

Now that she had come to her senses, she pulled herself together.

Every single one in the room was a very important person not just only to Korea but also to the entire Awakened World.

[I can’t waste any more of their precious time more than I already had.]

"Shoul I leave?" Hamin asked, getting up. "I’m sure I’m not needed here. I’ll just contact you once the higher-ups have already decided about the price, Chu Wonhee."

"Are you busy, Hamin-ssi?" Wonhee asked carefully. "Are you scheduled to raid a dormant dungeon today?"

Most Culinary Hunters were in charge of dormant dungeons.

"No, I just came out of the dungeon yesterday so I have free time."

"Then can you stay and listen to my business proposal?" Wonhee asked. "What I’m about to discuss has something to do with Hamin-ssi and all the Culinary Hunters in the world."

Hamin immediately went back to his seat. "Alright, I’ll stay and listen."

Wonhee nodded politely before she addressed everyone in the room with her gaze. "First of all, I’d like to ask for everyone’s permission to activate my skill. It’s a skill that will bring us to a place that I control."

She had to explain to the people who didn’t know about the Sleeping Salon yet.

Fortunately, everyone agreed.

"Thank you," Wonhee said, relieved. "Tannie, please activate my Sleeping Salon Skill."

The room didn’t change.

It still looked as exactly as it did before the Sleeping Room was activated.

Hence, those who didn’t know about that skill of hers looked confused.

"Everything looks the same, but this room is now in a different space separated from our reality," Wonhee explained, and then she opened her hand. "Tannie, give me the Guestbook, please."

The Guestbook then materialized in her hand.

"Thank you," Wonhee said, and then she faced her important guests once again. "The Big 4 have already signed on the Guestbook." She opened the book while talking to the System. "Tannie, please send our guests the explanation regarding the Guestbook."

Hamin and the Guides immediately looked up and stared into the air.

[Their Status Windows have probably popped up now.]

"I understand that this skill is designed to protect you, Chu Wonhee," Hamin said, and then he looked at Wonhee with a blank look on his face. "I’m also aware that I won’t have to worry about anything happening to me as long as I don’t try to harm you in this space. However, is this really necessary? I’m not comfortable with the idea of signing a contract like this on the spot."

It looked like only Hamin had a problem with that.

Even so, Wonhee was glad that someone spoke up.

[I don’t want to force anyone to do anything against their will.]

"I completely understand your point, Hamin-ssi. And I will not force you to be a part of this if you’re not comfortable with my terms," Wonhee said carefully. "But will you give me a chance to convince you?"

Hamin paused for a moment before he nodded. "Alright. Go ahead, Chu Wonhee."

"Thank you."

To be honest, she already expected to experience some resistance.

Hence, she already had an explanation prepared to convince these big shots to follow her plan.

Wonhee took a deep breath to calm her nerves before she started to explain. "I need you to sign on to the Guestbook and make an oath to keep what I’m about to tell you a secret from everyone else. After all, what I’m about to share with everyone here is the key to a world without Guides."

Oops.

It seemed like she chose the wrong words because even her family looked shocked by what she said.

[They probably thought I’d get rid of all the Guides in the world.]

"What I mean is I’m going to create a world where Guides don’t have to provide sexual pleasure for the Hunters in order to Guide them," Wonhee explained immediately. "My Legendary Friend has found a method to do just that."
