My Life As The First S-Class Guide
Chapter 201: SEASON 2 FINALE
CHAPTER 201: SEASON 2 FINALE
[BITNA-ya, what should I say? If you don’t want me to tell Hamin-ssi the truth, then I’ll just make an excuse.]
Fortunately, Wonhee’s thoughts reached Bitna.
Her Status Window popped up.
[Legendary Friend: Well, that bloke is a key figure in our plan since he’s the best Culinary Hunter in Korea. We need his help, so might as well be honest with him now that we’ve been caught anyway.]
"Chu Wonhee."
Oh.
Wonhee slightly got intimidated when she heard Hamin’s impatient voice calling her name.
But her Fear Resistance Skill was activated right away.
Hence, she got rid of her fear instantly.
Moreover...
"Cyborg Hyung, don’t speak to Wonhee using that tone," Yejun said in a low, threatening voice. "You’re scaring her. And every time I see that expression on her face, it makes me want to murder the hell out of the person who scared her."
"Hwang Yejun, you’re not the only one who feels murderous at the moment," Hamin said coldly, giving Yejun the same attitude he threw at him. "Don’t test my patience."
Wonhee felt the air turn chilly when Yejun and Hamin’s bloodlust leaked out.
[A-Are they seriously going to fight here?]
"Stop fighting like kids," Soobin scolded the two. "If you want to fight, do it outside."
Graham clicked his tongue while shaking his head. "Kids."
Semi looked at Graham with a dire look on her face. "Hamin is older than you, Graham. And that’s how you and Song Moonho when you fight."
Wonhee wanted to stop the bickering, but her Status Window suddenly popped up.
[Legendary Friend Calling...
Answer or Reject]
Oh.
And after Wonhee pressed the Answer button...
[Please activate Loudspeaker Mode.]
What?
Loudspeaker?
[Are you sure, Bitna-ya?]
Her Status Window moved up and down as if it was nodding.
Wonhee then pressed the Loudspeaker Mode on.
And then...
["Yah, Hunter Ha Min. Why are you so obsessed with me?"]
Wonhee covered her mouth with her hands when she gasped.
Bitna used her normal voice...
[And she’s speaking so rudely to Hamin-ssi who’s older than us!]
Hamin, who was having a mini-staring contest with Yejun, suddenly froze.
The others who also heard Bitna’s voice watched the ’drama’ unfold in silence.
Hamin suddenly stood up and looked at Wonhee.
Well, not really at her.
[He’s probably looking in the direction where he heard Bitna’s voice come from.]
"I’m older than you," Hamin said indifferently, and yet his eyes were sparkling. "How many times do I have to tell you to address me properly?"
["Alright, Hyung. Happy now?"]
’Hyung?’
Bitna was a woman, so she should be addressing Hamin as ’Oppa.’
Only boys would call older males as ’Hyung.’
[Is Bitna trying to piss off Hamin-ssi?]
"It’s really you," Hamin said, the relief in his voice clear. "You’re still as cheeky as I remember."
["Oh, please. We’ve only met once."]
Once?!
Wonhee’s eyes widened a bit.
[They only met once, and they couldn’t forget each other for many years?]
"I still hate you, Bitna."
Wonhee gasped again.
[What’s happening here?]
["Well, the feeling is mutual."]
Omo, omo.
[What kind of plot twist is this? Do they really hate each other?]
Wonhee’s thoughts were interrupted when they heard a crashing sound from the other end of the line.
It was followed by a blood-curdling cry of what could only be a monster.
Everyone in the room suddenly stiffened, their faces darkening as they realized that the ’Legendary Friend’ might have been getting attacked by monsters at the moment.
"Bitna-ya!" Wonhee yelled worriedly. "Are you okay?"
["I’m fine— argh..."]
Bitna wasn’t able to finish her sentence because she coughed.
[She probably coughed up blood...]
Wonhee checked Hamin’s expression, and she wasn’t prepared by what she saw.
[Yejun calls him ’Cyborg Hyung’ because he always has a blank look on his face, but right now...]
Hamin was so pale, and it looked like he was having a panic attack.
["I’m fine. I can handle this. I’ll call you later, Wonhee-ya!"]
And then the line got cut off.
"Chu Wonhee," Hamin called her impatiently while approaching her. And then he suddenly grabbed her by the shoulders. "Please tell me where Bitna is."
Wonhee flinched because of how tight Hamin grabbed her shoulders.
Before she could even open her mouth to speak and say that he was hurting her, Hamin was already ’peeled’ away from her.
It was because Yejun grabbed Hamin by the neck and pulled him away from Wonhee.
And then Yejun stood protectively in front of her.
"Hyung, you’re the strongest Hunter in Korea when it comes to physical strength alone," Yejun remained Hamin in an irritated voice. "Were you trying to break Wonhee’s shoulders?"
"I’m sorry, Chu Wonhee," Hamin said. It looked like he had come to his senses now since his voice was calmer. But his eyes still looked a bit disoriented. "But Bitna... can you tell me where she is?"
Ah.
[Hamin-ssi is desperate.]
That wasn’t the face of a man who supposedly hated Bitna.
Wonhee gently patted Yejun’s shoulder.
Yejun looked over his shoulder, his eyes asking if she’d be alright.
When she nodded, only then did Yejun step aside so that she could face Hamin properly.
Of course, Yejun stood close to her.
"Hamin-ssi, I really don’t know where exactly Bitna is at the moment," Wonhee said softly yet firmly. "However, I can sure you that Bitna will be fine."
"And how do you know that?"
[Since Bitna gave me permission to reveal her identity if I need to...]
"Because Bitna is an L-Class."
A collective gasp ensued.
"L-Class skills exist, but an Awakened Person with an L-Class level?" Soobin asked, confused. "And isn’t the person we’re talking about a Guide? Does it mean she has higher stats than you, Hee-ya?"
"Not only Hee-ya," Semi said. "If Bitna-ssi awakened as an L-Class, then it means she’s stronger than the Big 4."
"Right?" Graham agreed. "But maybe the distribution of class level is different for Guides?"
"Bitna is special," Wonhee said. "She’s both a Guide and a Hunter."
Again, everyone in the room was rendered shock.
"Bitna is both a Guide and a Hunter?" Hamin asked in disbelief. "Is that possible?"
"It is— and that is the future that I want for all the Guides in the world," Wonhee said firmly. "So, let’s work hard to help the Guides of Korea to evolve first."
***
"YEJUN-AH, let’s talk later..." Wonhee trailed off when she noticed that Yejun suddenly became teary-eyed. "What’s wrong?"
"You called me by my name again," Yejun said in a cracked voice. "I’m so happy, Wonhee-ya. I’m happier now than I was when I killed a dragon for the first time."
Ah.
[I called him ’Hunter Hwang’ a few times because I was upset.]
Even so, Yejun’s reaction was still a bit embarrassing.
Fortunately, everyone except for Soobin and Semi had already left.
After all, Korea wouldn’t function properly without those big shots.
"Don’t be dramatic," Wonhee scolded Yejun lightly. "Go and wait outside. Ahyeonnie is there, so wait for me with him."
"Call my name again, Wonhee-ya."
"Yejunnie."
She thought she would throw a trantrum again when she called him by his pet name.
But Yejun burst out laughing as if he was really happy. "Okay, Wonhee-ya. I’ll wait for you with our son."
Semi and Soobin looked surprised when Yejun said ’son.’
Fortunately, Yejun already disappeared before her older siblings could interrogate him.
And she quickly changed the topic because she didn’t want to explain how Yejun had claimed Ahyeon as their ’son.’
"Unnie, Oppa, I have a question for you."
Semi and Soobin asked the same question at the same time. "What is it, Hee-ya?"
Wonhee clenched her hands tight before she asked. "What else is Unnie and Oppa hiding from me?"
***
YEJUN immediately found Ahyeon fretting in front of the elevator.
It was the elevator leading to the Top Floor.
But even Ahyeon wouldn’t be able to enter there at the moment because Wonhee’s Sleeping Salon was still active.
"Baby herbivore, your mother is still talking to Semi Noona and Soobin Hyung."
Ahyeon turned around and looked half-worried and half-relieved when he saw Yejun. "H-Hwang Yejun-nim—"
"’Hyung,’" Yejun said, crossing his arms over his chest. "Call me ’hyung’ or else I won’t listen to what you have to say."
"H-Hyung-nim."
"That’s still a bit formal, but fine. What’s wrong? Why do you look like you’re about to cry?"
"W-Wony Noona left her phone with me to answer calls she wouldn’t be able to take while she was in the meeting," Ahyeon said nervously, gulping hard. "A-And she received a call from Lee Seojin."
That was the fake carnivore’s younger brother.
[Wonhee is fond of that kid.]
"What happened to the fake carnivore’s dongsaeng?"
"L-Lee Seojin said he’s being arrested by APA Hunters!" Ahyeon said, obviously in a panic. "A-Apparently, he almost killed Lee Seodam but he doesn’t remember doing it..."
Yejun raised an eyebrow. "Now that sounds fun."
***
WONHEE was waiting for Semi and Soobin to answer her question when her Status Window suddenly popped up.
[GUIDE CHU WONHEE!
YOUR RESPONSIBILITY #2— AKA HUNTER LEE SEOJIN— WAS ARRESTED BY APA HUNTERS FOR ATTEMPTED MURDER!
THE VICTIM IS HUNTER LEE SEODAM!]
"What?!"
Lee Seojin tried to kill Lee Seodam?
But why?
[Jin loves and respects his hyung, so there’s no way he tried to kill Seodam-ssi!]
That must be a mistake.
And why would APA Hunters be involved?!
Soobin and Semi looked startled when Wonhee suddenly raised her voice.
"What’s wrong, Hee-ya?" Semi asked worriedly. "What did the System say to you?"
"I’m sorry, Unnie, Oppa, but I need to go now," Wonhee said in a hurry. "Tannie, please deactivate the Sleeping Salon."
And as soon as it was deactivated, Yejun appeared out of thin air.
Wonhee was so relieved.
"Yejun-ah, the System told me that Lee Seojin was arrested...!"
"The baby herbivore received a call from Lee Seojin and he already told me what happened," Yejun said calmly, extending his hand to her. "Shall we go and rescue our potential child #2?"
Yejun’s joke helped her calm down.
"Alright. Let’s go," Wonhee said, grabbing Yejun’s hand. "But stop claiming kids as our children!"
***
SOOBIN was surprised when everything happened so fast.
Wonhee suddenly disappeared with Hwang Yejun.
But he and Semi didn’t really try to stop their little sister from leaving.
"It’s a relief, isn’t it?" Semi asked, smiling bitterly. "We were given more time to prepare."
"Noona, you know that no matter how much time we were given, we will still never be prepared," Soobin said, shaking his head. Like Semi, he was also feeling bitter at the moment. "How could we tell Hee-ya that both her biological and adoptive parents were killed just so she could be the luckiest girl born under the Lucky Star?"
