Chapter 209: A FAMILIAR FACE
CHAPTER 209: A FAMILIAR FACE
"WONHEE-YA, please take care of yourself. Call me anytime. You can send me a message even if you’re just bored. We can also go on a date whenever. Don’t forget about me, okay? I’ll work hard for our future."
[Why is he being so dramatic?]
Wonhee had a long day, so she just wanted to hit the bed and sleep.
But she couldn’t do that because Yejun was acting like they wouldn’t see each other for years.
"Yejun-ah, you’re just moving back to your parents’ house— and we still live in the same city," Wonhee said in a sleepy voice. "Plus, you’ll be busy once you return to your position as the Winter Guild’s Guildmaster. Why would I disturb you when I know you’re working?"
"I always have time for you, Wonhee-ya."
"Fine, I get it. I’ll send you a ’survival report’ every two hours or something."
"Make that every thirty minutes, please."
"You worry too much."
"How can I not worry about the most important person in my life?" Yejun said, sighing while gently putting his hands on Wonhee’s shoulders. "Wonhee-ya, don’t forget that the fate of the entire country is on your pretty shoulders. If you get hurt, I’ll freeze Seoul to death. And if you die, the entire world dies with you. Remember that and live well, okay? One more thing—"
Yejun’s nagging turned into a delicious groan when Wonhee grabbed his face and pulled him down for a kiss.
Yes, she shut him up using a kiss that was anything but chaste.
After all, it had been a while since they shared one.
Wonhee wasn’t surprised when she felt her back hit the soft mattress while Yejun was on top of her— devouring her mouth while his hands wandered all over her body.
[Yeah, we definitely missed this.]
Wonhee was the one who initiated the kiss, but it was she who broke it to gasp for air.
Yejun then nuzzled his face against her neck, his lips pressed against her skin.
"I’m giving you Guiding in advance since we won’t be sleeping together from now on," Wonhee said after catching her breath. "Are you feeling better now?"
Yejun raised his head with a serious look on his face. "Was that a kiss only because you wanted to Guide me and not because you actually wanted to kiss me?"
"I’m not sure."
"Should I kiss you again so you’d know?"
"Maybe next time," Wonhee said, brushing her thumb on Yejun’s bottom lip. "The next time I initiate a kiss even when you don’t need Guiding, then that’s when you’d know I want it. For now, I want this kiss to assure you that my heart isn’t going anywhere you’re not. Jealousy doesn’t look good on someone as crazy yet amazing as you, Yejun-ah."
Yejun let out a hearty laugh, playfully nibbling on her finger. "I’m looking forward to the day you’d initiate a kiss again, Wonhee-ya."

[THIS is my last free day before I start work tomorrow.]
Wonhee finished her breakfast early because she was excited to meet Yool.
[He’s staying at Graham-ssi’s house at the moment, so Graham-ssi invited me and Ahyeon to his house.]
It was for Wonhee’s safety, of course.
"Hee-ya, are you busy today?"
"I’m just going to hang out with Yool and Ahyeonnie today, Unnie," Wonhee said when Semi caught her when she was about to get in the car. "Why?"
To be honest, she still remembered that she still had something she needed to hear from Semi and Soobin.
But she pretended to forget about it for now.
[Unnie and Oppa know that I’m waiting, so I’ll wait until they’re ready to tell me whatever it is that they’re hiding from me.]
"I got a phone call from Hamin," Semi said. "He wanted to talk to you but he didn’t know how to contact you. Apparently, even the System refuses to connect his Status Window to yours without your consent. So, he asked me for your number. Can I give it to him?"
Oh, right.
She forgot that she didn’t have Hamin’s contact number because Yejun and the others were the ones who contacted the Fall Guild’s Guildmaster for her before.
"If you don’t want to, then you don’t have to."
"It’s alright, Unnie. Hamin-ssi probably wants to talk to me because of his restaurant," Wonhee said. "Unnie remembers that I asked Hamin-ssi to rent the Top Floor of the Nom Nom Restaurant to me, right?"
Semi nodded. "That’s also what Hamin said when I asked him why he wanted to talk to you."
"The higher-ups have probably given a price already."
"Hee-ya, they’ll probably rip you off."
"I know that, Unnie."
"The SC Group is almost as big as our Daesung Group, but SC Group is greedier than our company," Semi said, crossing her arms over her chest while sighing. "And you know that the SC Group’s chairman is your brother-in-law’s older brother, right? I hate that man."
"I also hate the people who mistreated my brother-in-law," Wonhee said firmly. "Don’t worry, Unnie— I won’t lose to SC Group."

"AHYEONNIE, did you tell Yool that we’ll be late?" Wonhee asked while walking in the SC Group’s lobby as if she owned it. "I feel bad, but this is the only free time I have to meet them."
"I did, Noona," Ahyeon said while nodding his head. "Yool Hyung said that it’s okay."
Good.
She kept her mouth shut when she noticed that the employees in the lobby were stealing glances at her.
Of course, Wonhee maintained a polite smile and bowed towards those who greeted her.
"It’s Actress Wonhee!"
"She’s prettier in real life..."
"Heol. I hope I get reincarnated in my next life with her face and body..."
Wonhee was starting to get embarrassed.
Fortunately, Hamin appeared and approached them.
"Chu Wonhee, follow me."
"Alright, Hamin-ssi."
The buzz got louder when people saw Wonhee and Hamin together, but they ignored everyone as they entered the elevator leading to only one place— the chairman’s office.
And when they got there...
"Hyung-nim, you can’t declare your daughter dead when you know you haven’t done your best to look for her!"
Hmm?
Wonhee was surprised to see Seon Chang-ho, Semi’s husband and her brother-in-law, yelling at Chairman Seon as flyers flew around the vast office.
One of those flyers landed on her feet.
Hamin grabbed it before she could even pick it up.
And then...
"Huh?"
Wonhee looked at the flyer when she noticed that Hamin looked shocked, and then she had the same reaction.
After all, the young girl in the photo looked very familiar.
Wonhee and Hamin then looked at each other while asking the same question. "It’s Bitna, isn’t it?"
