SHIN GEON woke up when his phone rang loudly.

The issue with Seon Eunseok ended really late last night, so he ended up sleeping in one of the guest rooms in Semi’s house.

[Ah, it’s Glenda-ssi.]

Glenda Abbott was his assistant, so he immediately answered the call.

"I’m sorry I wasn’t able to go to work yesterday, Miss Glenda—"

"Director Shin, don’t come to the Center..."

Geon immediately got up, all his sleepiness gone after hearing Glenda speak in difficulty. "Miss Glenda, what happened?"

"The Center is under attack... and they want you..."

Haaah.

He couldn’t believe this was happening just when he didn’t stay at the Center like he often did!

"Miss Glenda, don’t speak if it’s hard for you," Geon said in a quiet voice. "Please hide and save yourself— I’m coming there."

He thought the line was cut off when it suddenly became quiet.

But, after a few moments, a different voice was heard from the other line.

"Director Shin Geon, if you don’t want your people dying one by one, come here and don’t bring the Big 4 with you."

Geon shut his eyes tight.

WONHEE woke up early in the morning.

It was because she suddenly had a bad feeling.

Hence, she got up and left her room to look for Soobin.

But when she opened the door, she was surprised to see two men seemingly waiting for him.

"Ahyeonnie, Hwang Frost-ssi," Wonhee greeted the two men. "What are you doing in front of my room?"

Hwang Frost shrugged. "I was here all night."

"How about you, Ahyeonnie? I told you to sleep in the room next to mine."

"I-I did, Noona," Ahyeon said. "I j-just got here..."

"What’s wrong, Wonhee-ya?" Hwang Frost asked worriedly. "It’s still early, so you can sleep more."

"I can’t sleep," Wonhee confessed, clenching her hands tight. "I have a bad feeling..."

As if on cue, Soobin appeared out of nowhere— dressed in a poor manner.

It was as if her older brother just grabbed all the clothes that he could the fastest, and then he put them on in a hurry.

[This is the first time I saw Oppa this... untidy.]

"Hee-ya, stay at home," Soobin said impatiently, and then he turned to the two men. "Hwang Yejun, Do Ahyeon, protect my baby sister with your life."

"What’s happening, Hyung?" Hwang Frost asked worriedly. "And where are you going?"

"All the high-ranking Guides in the country are under attack," Soobin said, clenching his jaws. "And Geon went to the Center alone since the Center was also being under attacked."

"Go," Hwang Frost said. "I’ll protect Hee-ya, Hyung."

Soobin nodded firmly, and then he was gone.

"Oh no," Ahyeon mumbled to himself worriedly. "Guides can’t fight Hunters..."

That also made Wonhee worry even more.

[I feel like I have to do something...]

"Don’t worry, Wonhee-ya," Hwang Frost-ssi assured her. "The Hunters of this country will protect the Guides."

COMMANDER scoffed after seeing the beaten-up Hunters that his subordinates brought to his feet: Ahn Kaia, Lee Cheongsan, and Hwang Minho. "Throw those trash away."

"Yes, Commander."

The four elite members of his squad, the ones wearing the Big 4’s headshot pictures, grabbed the half-dead Hunters that they brought with the Guides that he needed. His subordinates brought those people into Director Shin Geon’s office that he had taken over after his people attacked the National Guide Center.

[Everything is easy when the Big 4 isn’t involved.]

So, now, only the high-ranking Guides (and one special Civilian) were standing in front of him.

Park Ruda.

Meguro Shun.

Im Rona.

Ahn Kisoo.

Kim Bora.

And that Civilian called ’Gong Yool.’

[The Liege said this isn’t the Gong Yool he needs, but he asked me to keep the Civilian alive for now.]

"You ugly bastard."

It was Kim Bora.

"What do you think you’re doing?" Kim Bora growled. "Can you really afford to do this to the high-ranking Guides of this country?"

"Why not?" Commander asked back, scoffing at Kim Bora’s silly question. "Now that your queen is incapable of protecting you, it’s only logical to get rid of you at this very moment. Guides will only just get in the way of the new world our Liege is trying to create."

That shut Kim Bora’s mouth.

Or so he thought.

Commander belatedly realized that the high-ranking Guides (and the shaking Civilian) were no longer paying attention to him.

"Ah, so you attacked because Chu Wonhee is a bit confused at the moment?"

What the...!

Commander was shocked when a green-haired petite woman suddenly appeared next to him.

But how?!

[I didn’t feel her presence until she spoke!]

"Well, it’s true that Chu Wonhee is the Queen of Guides," the green-haired woman said, and then she suddenly grabbed Commander by the collar. "But don’t you know?"

Commander tried to get away— but he couldn’t.

Hence, he moved the only thing he could move at the moment: his mouth.

"Know what?"

"You should know that if the Queen of Guides is down, her ’shadow’ comes out to save the day."

"Shadow?"

"Yep, and that’s me!" the green-haired woman said cheerfully, raising her hand. "Chu Wonhee isn’t the only Guide you should be wary of."

And then the woman punched him in the face...

... sending him flying.

[Argh!]

The next thing Commander knew, his back was already one with the wall.

And, worst of all...

[My mask!]

It broke.

The TV screen head costume that not even Yeon Soobin’s weapons could break shattered just because of a single punch.

[Who the heck is this woman?!]

Commander used his ability to check the woman’s stat level.

[Name: Seon Chowon

Position: Error!

Level: Error!]

He was taken aback.

[This woman has stats that not even the Liege knows?]

"Who are you?" Commander asked the green-haired woman approaching him like a predator. "No— what are you?"

"Didn’t you hear me earlier?" the green-haired woman, whose eyes looked frenzied now, asked while laughing. "I am Chu Wonhee’s ’shadow.’"
