My Life As The First S-Class Guide
Chapter 261: UNEXPECTED VARIABLE
CHAPTER 261: UNEXPECTED VARIABLE
"HEY."
Yejun raised an eyebrow at Bitna’s slightly rude greeting while having breakfast.
Wonhee didn’t join them since she only had protein shake for breakfast, and then she went straight to the gym.
[Yes, Soobin Hyung has a gym in his mansion.]
Wonhee said she could think better if she was moving her body. Hence, she decided to work out.
"Hey, don’t ignore me."
"Yah," Yejun complained. "We’re the same age, but I didn’t say you can talk to me informally."
"You can talk to me informally," Bitna said, shrugging. "Anyways, I can tell you’re itching to leave to fulfill your duties as the Winter Guild’s Guildmaster and the strongest member of Big 4."
"I can’t leave Wonhee alone."
"This is what exactly what the enemies want, dude. They attacked the high-class Guides because they know the Big 4 is busy with their personal lives," Bitna said. "You are busy taking care of amnesiac Wonhee. Song Moonho followed Ong Yool to the other world. Han Graham is busy running both the Summer Guild and the Autumn Guild. And I heard about what happened to Jang Semi’s only son."
Yejun flinched.
Whether he wanted to admit it or not, Bitna was right.
"This is the problem when the entire country relies only on four individuals," Bitna said, shaking her head. "The only reason South Korea hasn’t been invaded by the other bigger and stronger countries is because you have Chu Wonhee and the Big 4. But if the square-headed bastards and the World Rankers attack South Korea at the same time, you’re dead."
"What’s your point, broccoli?"
"The enemies think they need to get Chu Wonhee out of their way, and since they know the Big 4 members are protecting her, they’re trying to bring you down first," Bitna said while tapping her fingertips on the table. "But what if those square-headed bastards find someone else to focus on?"
Yejun crossed his arms over his chest. "You?"
"Yep— me. I’ll make those bastards pay attention to me," Bitna said, leaning against the chair while crossing her arms over her chest. "I’ll give them a taste of their own medicine."
"How do you plan to get their attention?"
"I already have a plan."
"Wow. Do you need my help?"
"Nah, it’s you who need my help."
"Huh?"
"I heard your older cousin was heavily injured despite the success of his surger. So were Ahn Kaia and Lee Cheongsan," Bitna said, and then she pulled out a computer tablet from her Inventory. "It’s all over the news."
The broccoli then played a video from her computer tablet.
It was a clip from a news program.
"Following the recent attack by the Anti-System Faction at the National Guide Center, three A-Class Hunters were hurt. Hunter Ahn Kaia suffered from severe burns, Hunter Lee Cheongsan went blind as a result of being poisoned, and Hunter Hwang Minho might not be able to walk again due to traumatic brain injury..."
Yejun clenched his hands tight. "Broccoli, I don’t like how you’re smiling right now."
"I’m not happy because of the unfortunate thing that happened to those Hunters," Bitna explained, shrugging. "I just thought of a brilliant idea."

"GRAHAM, I’m fine. Why do you look like you’re about to cry?"
[You’re not fine, Noona.]
That was what Graham wanted to say.
But a lump formed in his throat while looking at Ahn Kaia— half of Ahn Kisoo’s older sister’s face was burned. And so was her hair. Even her neck had a huge burn mark, too.
"I’ve always wanted to cut my hair anyway," Kaia said while touching her now very short hair. "My head finally feels light."
"Noona..."
"And don’t worry about the burn on my face," Kaia said, still smiling. "Semi Unnie gave me a high-grade potion, so it doesn’t sting anymore. I’m lucky that I survived after that square-headed bastard burned my head off."
Graham clenched his hands tight.
Ahn Kaia wasn’t just Ahn Kisoo’s older sister.
[She’s also a precious noona and the Vice Guildmaster of the Summer Guild.]
Revenge.
Graham swore he would get his revenge—
"Unnie, your burns look bad."
GASP.
Both Graham and Kaia gasped when a green-haired woman suddenly appeared out of thin air.
[How come I didn’t notice her presence until she spoke?]
Fortunately, the woman was familiar.
Graham knitted his eyebrows. "Aren’t you the one with Soobin Hyung before?"
[Apparently, this woman is Chu Wonhee’s friend.]
"My name is Bitna," the green-haired woman said, speaking informally. "Hunter Graham, can you summon Lee Cheongsan and Hwang Minho here?"
***
AHN KAIA had severe burns on her face and neck.
Lee Cheongsan had white bandages wrapped around his eyes.
And Hwang Minho was sitting on a wheelchair.
Hmm.
[These three are A-Class Hunters. For the square-headed bastards to heavily injure such high-ranking Hunters...]
No wonder the incident caused mass panic.
"Why did you ask them to gather here, Bitna-ssi?" Jang Semi asked. "You remember that they’re patients, don’t you?"
Aside from the injured Hunters, there were other people there: Jang Semi, Yeon Soobin, and Han Graham.
The high-class Guides that she rescued yesterday were in the other room with Shin Geon.
"I’m here to check on the patients’ condition," Bitna said, crossing her arms over her chest. "I can fix them all."
Of course, her bold claim got everyone shocked.
"You can?" Yeon Soobin asked in disbelief. "But the best doctors and Healers in the country already did their best, and yet..."
"Well, I’m better than them," Bitna claimed nonchalantly. "Kaia Unnie, here."
She handed what seemed like an ordinary ointment to Ahn Kaia.
"Just apply that ointment to your burn marks and they’ll gradually fade until they disappear completely," Bitna said. "I was almost burned to death by a dragon while I was in the dungeon. But, as you can see, my skin is as good as new. That’s why I can guarantee that that ointment will work. If you don’t trust my words, you can ask Vice President Yeon or Jang Semi-ssi to check the ingredients I used to make the ointment first."
Ahn Kaia looked confused, but she held the ointment in her hands as if it was her lifeline. "Uhm, thank you..."
"Thank me once the ointment starts working, Unnie," Bitna said to Ahn Kaia before she turned to Lee Cheongsan. "Lee Cheongsan-ssi, I have an antidote that can completely get rid of the side-effects of the poison that made you go blind. I used when I almost died from a serpent’s venom, so I guarantee you that it will work."
She then pulled out a vial with a violet liquid inside, and then she handed it to Lee Cheongsan.
"Again, you can have the ingredients checked first. But I doubt if you’ll be familiar with the ingredients since I made it from the plants that only grow in the dungeon," Bitna explained. "Even so, if it doesn’t work, you can arrest me or whatever."
Lee Cheongsan nodded while holding the vial between his hands. "A-Alright. Thank you, Bitna-ssi."
"Again, thank me once the antidote works," Bitna said, and then she turned to Hwang Minho who was looking at her expectantly. "Hyung, I have to use my skills to fix your legs. But the price might be a bit hefty."
"I don’t care about the price," Hwang Minho said firmly. "If you can fix my legs, I’ll give you anything and everything you want."
"Good."
"If you’re asking Hwang Minho to pay, then I assume you’re not helping Kaia Unnie and Lee Cheongsan for free," Han Graham said. "What do you want in return? Name your price, Bitna-ssi."
"Later," Bitna said, and then she turned to Yeon Soobin. "Vice President, can we talk in private for a moment?"
***
KWON Jiwoong clenched his hands tight while watching the news.
The government, particularly APA, was being heavily criticized by the Civilians because of the recent attack at the National Guide Center.
[Our country can’t catch a break!]
"Kwon Jiwoong, we need to talk."
Jiwoong raised his head and found Yeon Soobin coming out of thin air.
[This man really takes advantage of his teleportation skill...]
"My office will handle the PR this time," Yeon Soobin said before Jiwoong could even react at his sudden appearance. "I’ll make sure APA will recover from the recent incident."
Jiwoong raised an eyebrow. "So, you’re finally acting like a proper vice president?"
"You can say that."
"What’s your plan?"
"I’m going to introduce the first person who came out of the dungeon safely after getting swallowed by the Crack eight years ago," Yeon Soobin said. "Oh, she also happens to be a chaebol heiress."
***
FLASHES OF cameras almost blinded Bitna.
But she didn’t blink.
Anyways, she was impressed that Yeon Soobin managed to organize a press conference in just a few hours.
The entire hall was filled with reporters.
Fortunately, she took Wonhee’s advice seriously and dressed up for the occasion.
Bitna wanted to look professional, so she wore a black blazer. But, instead of pants, she paired it with shorts to make her legs looked longer. She also wore a pair of high-heels so she’d appear taller.
[The System refused to make me taller when I asked for additional height instead of upgrading my beauty when I awakened.]
Oh, well.
"Thank you for coming on such short notice," Yeon Soobin said, addressing everyone in the hall politely. "I’d like to introduce a very important person to the entire country."
And then the APA Vice President turned to her.
[It’s my turn to speak, huh?]
To be honest, what she was about to do was a huge risk.
But this was the best thing she could do to distract the enemies.
[So they would stop attacking Wonhee and the Big 4.]
"Hello, everyone. I am Seon Chowon, the missing daughter of Chairman Seon Chul of the SC Group," Bitna said, internally disgusted that she had to use her dead name. But what could she do? She needed to borrow her family’s name to create a bigger buzz. "I was swallowed by the Crack eight years ago— and, as you can see, I survived and returned home."
