CHAPTER 727: *IT WAS JUST A MISUNDERSTANDING*

Axel couldn’t believe what had just happened! But he had felt the overwhelming feeling that the Drakonit side of Roman had felt once he smelled Willow’s scent.

Kevin could feel Axel’s conflicting emotions, and he too was experiencing the same. Even though Roman didn’t ask for it, his Drakonit side recognized Willow as his soulmate, and there was nothing stronger than this bond for the legendary creatures or shapeshifters.

Moreover, Roman was a Divine Drakonit, and a very old one at that—the first and only King of the Drakonits that had ever existed. And as Roman had waited for Willow all his life, Axel could feel that he was determined and wouldn’t back off so easily.

Willow, for her part, looked at the three of them and asked her daddies, not really understanding the situation, "Dads! Why are you threatening him? Of course, he won’t hurt me! Didn’t you bring me here to help these men and women regain consciousness? They still need my help, you know."

Roman then smiled at her to reassure her, but his smile got stiff when he heard in his head the threatening growl of her dad, who said to him, "Our baby was just born not even 2 months ago! You are not allowed to talk about your bond with her until she is an adult; is that understood?"

Roman nodded slightly and used that link he could feel to tell Axel, "I just want to learn more about her; I won’t do anything stupid. I have waited for her 10,000 years; I can wait until she is ready to feel the same way as I do. I won’t rush things; I promise."

Kevin, after his golden short sword disappeared and that Axel lowered his Divine sword too, said to Roman, still using the link that Axel had created between them, "Thanks to this bond, I found my husband, so we won’t interfere; but remember that Willow is still a baby right now; you can’t court her."

Roman nodded again, and Kevin then added, while cancelling his Stage 2, "Willow will have the final say; if she rejects you, you will have to accept it no matter how hard it is."

Roman sighed, but he still said through the link, "I got it! The well-being of Willow will always be my priority; you have my word."

As Roman had lifted his hand to stop his men when he was threatened by Kevin and Axel, he said to them, as the weapons were gone now, "It’s alright; it was just a misunderstanding. You can go help the crowd leave the arena; make sure everyone is safe."

His men hesitated a little, but ultimately they followed his orders and went to the exit, while some of them went into the crowd to remind them to take it slow and not push the people in front of them.

As for Axel and Kevin’s friends, they didn’t dare to intervene because they knew that both of them must have had their reasons for threatening Roman this way.

When Roman said that it was a misunderstanding, they all waited for Kevin and Axel to acknowledge this, and when Axel just nodded, sighing, they all finally relaxed.

Willow then smiled at Roman and said to him, "You are such a powerful Drakonit! Did you feel that, Dads? His affinity with the Evil Divine element is very high!"

Kevin then said, "Indeed, he is very powerful." He then added, feeling confused, "I can’t feel the Divine energy as I’m not using my Stage 2 anymore, but if you are impressed, then I’m sure his affinity with it should be very high... By the way, how can you detect it, sweetie? Can’t you only see golden ones?"

"Golden ones?" then asked Roman in shock. "How come she can already see the Divine energy?"

Axel then told him, "Willow is the very first Divine creature after the Titan to be born. Even though I was the one to shatter the Divine law that prevented legendary creatures from evolving, Willow was born a Divine creature before that."

While Roman was still shocked, after all they all began to evolve into Divine Drakonits only 2 weeks ago, so knowing that Willow was born this way was completely unexpected for him, Willow use this time to explain to Kevin, "It’s easy, Daddy! The golden particles stay far from him, even farther away than when Atlas is around."

Hearing his name, Atlas then laughed and said to her, "I wouldn’t be surprised if he had a higher affinity with the Evil Divine element than me. After all, you just have to see how Ian progresses to know that Drakonits are exceptional beings!"

As Willow was looking at Roman with expectant eyes, he told her, "I reached level 10 of the Evil Divine element long ago, but it’s hard to find places to try out spells to use it. As Ian said earlier, the black particles are vicious and extremely dangerous."

"The max level!" said Willow in awe. "I’m only at level 5 of the Angelic Divine element."

Axel smiled proudly when he saw the dumbfounded look on Roman and the few Drakonits that still stayed behind him, and he said to Willow, "Do not worry, my little princess; you are still growing up. Soon you will be able to increase your affinity with it."

Willow then hugged her daddies in turn, happy to see that they were proud of her.

As her wings appeared on her back, she said to them, "Now that everything is fine, let’s go help these men and women. After that, I will go eat; I’m hungry."

Kevin looked at Axel, somewhat worried, and Axel reassured him, "It’s fine, babe. It’s normal for Willow to be hungry since she ate regular food during the day to please my mom. Tomorrow is our last day with them, so after that, our baby will eat only powerful magical beast meats. I promise."

Kevin just nodded as they all headed toward where the unconscious creatures were.
