MY Masochistic CEO
Chapter 161 - 161 A diamond and a promise
Kristina was stunned. "What's this?"
"Just open it and you'll see." I looked at her with expectation.
Kristina bit her lip. "Simbara Gold. There must be jewelry inside. It must be expensive, right?"
"Oh, don't worry about whether it's expensive or not. Open it and see if you like it!"
This was the jewelry I got when I bought Grace's necklace. Of course, it was much more expensive than her necklace.
She seemed a bit nervous, wiped her hands, and wanted to take it but hesitated. "Let's talk about it later. First, let's clean the wound and apply the medicine."
She said that she opened the first aid kit, methodically cleaned my wound, applied the medicine, and then gently fanned it with a fan to dry it. She finally bandaged it, tying a beautiful bow at the end.
Except for my parents, perhaps no one in the world treated me as well as Kristina did.
How could I not love her?
I couldn't wait to open the box. Inside was a shiny diamond ring, sparkling under the light. Kristina covered her mouth with both hands, her eyes misting up instantly.
I took out the diamond ring. "I still can't afford a diamond ring the size of a pigeon egg now, so I'll buy a smaller one first. You wear it first, and I'll work hard to make it up to you in the future!"
Kristina tried hard to cover her mouth to prevent herself from crying out loud, but how could one restrain emotions like this?
Tears gushed out, unsure if they were tears of joy, excitement, or panic.
I felt sorry for her and wiped away her tears. "Don't cry. Seeing you cry breaks my heart."
My comfort didn't work. Instead, she cried even harder, holding me tightly, her forehead on my shoulder, her tears wetting my clothes.
I could only comfort her softly, stroking her back gently. Kristina's crying gradually turned into soft sobbing, and she said, "Why are you so good to me?"
I looked at her affectionately. "That's because you are also very good to me. Besides my parents and family, you are the best to me. I've said that I will take care of you. I want to be Lily's father and the strongest support for you and our daughter!"
I boasted. "By the way, Kristina, I have some good news. My friends and I have established a dance training company in the Grand Vision area, currently undergoing renovations and anticipated completion by the end of the month. I also opened a media company in the Hundred Generations Building, and the other day, I closed a big deal, earning over seven hundred thousand dollars!"
I didn't want to tell my parents about these things, but I told only Kristina. I had no reservations. I wanted her to see my efforts.
I wanted to show her my responsibilities and make her understand that I was someone worth relying on.
Kristina gazed at me, her eyes brimming with unmistakable love, deep gratitude, and surprise.
"Give me a little more time. I will soon catch up with your pace."
"Yes, I believe in you. My man is becoming more and more powerful."
Kristina smiled through her tears.
Her praise opened every pore on my body, refreshing me like ice water on a scorching day.
In front of Kristina, I always seemed to be a little boy.
"So, Kristina, what about this ring?"
"How much did you spend on it?"
Kristina wiped away her tears and inquired.
"Not much!"
"What do you mean by 'not much?' Tell me the truth!"
"Less than thirty thousand!"
"What, less than thirty thousand?" Kristina tapped me on the forehead. "Even if you have money, you shouldn't spend it like this. Your career has just begun. Starting companies costs a lot of money, not to mention supporting a wife and raising children, all of which require money."
She counted on her fingers, explaining the situation to me. Looking at Kristina like this, I didn't feel her greed at all. Instead, I thought that she was down-to-earth and genuine. She was a woman with her own emotions.
"Too expensive. You should return it because you haven't removed the tag."
"I won't return it!"
I stood up straight, looking her in the eyes. "Kristina, I can listen to you about anything, but this ring represents my love for you. It's also what I use to bind your heart. Are you going to reject it?"
In the end, Kristina succumbed to my gaze.
"You..."
Kristina pouted, and I placed the diamond ring on her right hand's ring finger. The sparkling ring perfectly matched her fair hand.
"It's not that the ring is beautiful. It's because you wear it, making it radiant."
"Don't flatter me!"
Kristina smiled as I hugged her. "From now on, you are mine, and you can't escape!"
Kristina looked shy. "Yes, I've been defeated by you. Are you satisfied?"
"I couldn't be more satisfied."
I gently nibbled on her ear. "Kristina, do you miss me?"
Kristina whimpered. Her voice was so enchanting.
Like a spark falling into a gasoline tank, it instantly ignited me.
"Yes."
"How much?"
Kristina didn't speak but instead wrapped around me like a beautiful snake.
She didn't mind the smell of alcohol on me as I eagerly savored her sweetness, my hands not staying still.
At this point, I could have taken Kristina. I believed she wouldn't refuse.
But I stopped myself. It's said that drunk people are easily intoxicated. I was drunk, but my heart was clear.
After a dozen minutes, I had my fill and stopped, while Kristina was already dazed by my teasing and heavy breathing.
When I stopped, a hint of reluctance and confusion flashed in her eyes.
"Kristina, I want to take a bath."
The tears in Kristina's eyes faded, and she touched her flushed face. "Go ahead. I'll get your clothes!"
Her shy look made me feel a surge of desire. I swallowed. "Okay!"
I didn't feel a sense of relief until Kristina entered the bedroom.
Damn, I almost couldn't control myself just now. God knows how much determination I had.
The timing was right, but I fed the cat Grace during the day and drank. I didn't want to treat Kristina so lightly. She was the one I loved.
Oh, and Mary Walker was also the one I loved.
In the bathroom, I took off my clothes. Cold water poured over my body, gradually cooling the heat inside me.
My mind also cleared up significantly.
The annoying part was having to raise my left hand while bathing to avoid getting the wound wet and causing inflammation, which was too troublesome.
What's worse? I thought of Jessica Lawrence again. I last talked to her two days ago.
But the events of the day made me feel frustrated. I couldn't muster the energy.
But not talking to her would only lead to overthinking, and then I would have to go out of my way to please her.
Why bother?
At that moment, the bathroom door opened, and through the glass, I saw Kristina holding clothes and walking in. "I'll leave the clothes here."
I said, "Okay, got it."
"Are you ready to take a bath? Or, should I help you?" Kristina asked.
What?
I thought I misheard. "What did you just say?"
"I said I'd help you!"
My head buzzed, and after a while, I realized, stuttering, "No, it's not good. You might get your clothes wet."
I thought Kristina would leave, but what I didn't expect was... Outside came a rustling sound, and I was dumbfounded at that moment.
My heart suddenly raced, and my whole body's blood boiled.
Then I saw a naked figure walking toward me.
With a creak, Kristina pushed the door open and walked in. My brain crashed immediately.
"You..." Th!i@s translat#ion# is powere!d by the r@ea&d@er$s. at M%|V|+L&E9MP&YR.+
Actually, at that moment, Kristina was also very embarrassed, her face blushing. "Don't speak. Turn around, and let me help you wipe!"
I mechanically nodded and turned around. Cold water poured over me, but I felt like it was of no use.
"My body was reeking of alcohol and smoke as we hugged just now. We can save water if we shower together."
I knew Kristina was very nervous. She said so because she wanted to give herself an excuse and ease her embarrassment.
She was really gentle and considerate.
I silently enjoyed it as Kristina rubbed the dirt off of me with her delicate hands.
I kept swallowing saliva. "Kristina..."
"Look at you. You're so dirty. How many days has it been since you last showered?"
I chuckled awkwardly and said, "Isn't it too hot? I sweat a lot."
Kristina didn't say anything. She just silently helped me. Then I suddenly felt my balance lost, as did her tender hands...
I gasped. "Kristina..."
I turned around, and Kristina blushed. Even the tips of her ears turned red.
I couldn't take it anymore, so I turned around and pinned her against the glass wall.
"Be careful. Don't wet the wound."
I froze and forced a smile. Then Kristina gave me a flirtatious look and knelt down.
Half an hour later, we got dressed and went back to the bedroom. Her daughter was sleeping soundly.
I held Kristina, feeling content. It was really difficult for her to do things she wasn't good at.
But it was truly satisfying to me, from head to toe.
But while I was comfortable, Kristina seemed exhausted.
I whispered in her ear, and Kristina exclaimed softly. "Ah, isn't that embarrassing?"
"It's okay. Trust me."
