My Mysterious Hidden Husband
Chapter 108: Filthy Dealings
CHAPTER 108: CHAPTER 108: FILTHY DEALINGS
"Can you drink?" Lynn Kendall asked Sheila Yardley.
Sheila Yardley glanced around and then shook her head, "No, I can’t."
"Then you need to learn. You can’t escape drinking a little when discussing work outside."
Sheila Yardley swallowed hard, trying to find an excuse to refuse. At this moment, Lynn Kendall stood up and nodded humbly towards the people walking over, "Mr. Morgan, here so early? Please have a seat."
There were three people in total, two men and one woman. The leading slightly overweight middle-aged man was the Mr. Morgan Lynn Kendall referred to, and the other two young people seemed to be Mr. Morgan’s assistants.
The sofa was circular, Mr. Morgan sat in the middle, Lynn Kendall originally sat to the right of Mr. Morgan, but as she sat down, she purposely made Sheila Yardley move a bit inside, right next to Mr. Morgan.
Mr. Morgan looked Sheila Yardley up and down twice but said nothing.
Lynn Kendall then called over a server and ordered two dozen beers and a bottle of the house’s specialty liquor.
Sheila Yardley had worked here and knew the power of the house’s specialty liquor, even those who could hold their drink found it hard to handle just half a bottle.
"Elaine, what are you standing there for? Pour Mr. Morgan a drink."
"Changed assistants?" Mr. Morgan asked ambiguously while cuddling his female assistant, looking at Lynn Kendall.
Lynn Kendall pursed her red lips and explained with a smile, "The boss has changed, so isn’t it normal to change assistants?"
"Looks young, huh? Already out working?"
"Working part-time to support education expenses, just a sophomore, right Elaine?"
Sheila Yardley forced a smile and nodded, as the conversation circled back to her, and Mr. Morgan’s overly intimate gestures with his assistant made Sheila Yardley feel uneasy.
Mr. Morgan picked up a glass and asked Sheila Yardley, "Can a girl from school drink?"
Just as Sheila Yardley was about to shake her head and say no, Lynn Kendall answered for her, "If you can’t drink, learn. Come on, Elaine, have a drink with Mr. Morgan."
Seeing the beer glass Lynn Kendall was holding, Sheila Yardley couldn’t refuse and took a sip from her glass.
"Is that drinking or tasting? Your mouth isn’t even wet," before Mr. Morgan could say anything, Lynn Kendall spoke up, forcing Sheila Yardley to finish her beer.
"Mr. Morgan, we’ve talked about your fashion brand before, you can rest assured and leave the designing part to me, I’m quite reputable abroad."
Mr. Morgan clinked glasses with Lynn Kendall, then turned to look at Sheila Yardley and said, "I need several designers, haven’t settled on any yet, if we have a pleasant chat tonight, making you a permanent designer won’t be an issue."
Mr. Morgan said as he handed his glass to Sheila Yardley, signaling Lynn Kendall with his eyes.
His "pleasant" implied something else, Sheila Yardley wasn’t stupid and was thinking of a way to escape.
Originally thought that at Professor Lockwood’s company she wouldn’t encounter such things. Shannon Quinn also said there was no need for a designer to discuss these affairs, but Lynn Kendall was pushing her towards the fire pit just for her own desire.
"Elaine, Mr. Morgan is offering you a drink, hurry and drink it."
Sheila Yardley thought, Mr. Morgan’s cooperation has nothing to do with her whatsoever, whether it happens or not doesn’t affect her. Coming with Lynn Kendall today was honestly for the sake of learning, now that she sensed something inappropriate, she’s not about to stupidly jump into a trap.
"Lynn, I can’t drink anymore."
"Good girl, drink a few with Mr. Morgan, I’ll put in a good word with Boss Lockwood later and get you a formal position."
"I really can’t drink anymore, my boyfriend texted saying something came up, he’s picking me up soon, if I drink more it’ll ruin things."
Sheila Yardley brought up her boyfriend, hoping it would provide some deterrence, preventing them from doing anything reckless.
Unexpectedly, Mr. Morgan let go of the female assistant in his arms, sat up straight, and moved closer to Sheila Yardley, still holding that glass of liquor, smilingly saying, "Already have a boyfriend, no need to pretend to be a little girl, obediently drink up."
Sheila Yardley dodged away from the advancing Mr. Morgan, yet Lynn Kendall pushed her, Mr. Morgan took the opportunity to catch Sheila Yardley, ignoring her resistance, tightly holding her shoulders, bringing the liquor to her mouth, "Good girl, drink up, with a boyfriend you’re probably not a virgin, right? Uncle Morgan doesn’t mind."
After saying this, Mr. Morgan forcibly pried open Sheila Yardley’s mouth, pouring the liquor in.
Sheila Yardley struggled, half of the liquor choked into her mouth, half spilt everywhere.
Pouring several glasses in succession, watching Sheila Yardley’s painful struggle, Lynn Kendall simply watched coldly, saying, "Told you to drink obediently earlier, you’re the one suffering now for not listening."
Sheila Yardley coughed violently while Lynn Kendall pretended to pat her back with good intention.
After regaining a bit of composure, Sheila Yardley pushed Lynn Kendall, grabbing a glass filled with liquor off the table, stood up and splashed it on Lynn Kendall’s face, "If you want to act cheap, don’t drag others into your mess!"
Lynn Kendall was instantly dumbfounded, not expecting Sheila Yardley, who usually appeared timid and compliant, to act out like this.
It was the first time someone splashed liquor on her face, Lynn Kendall’s temper rose immediately, she stood up and blocked Sheila Yardley’s way, pushing her hard, sneering, "Why pretend? Mr. Morgan is actually giving you a chance, don’t be clueless!"
"Alright, what’s this fuss about, two gorgeous ladies fighting isn’t necessary." Mr. Morgan played the peacemaker, got up and hugged Sheila Yardley by the waist, pulling her back to the sofa.
Mr. Morgan’s touch made Sheila Yardley resist vehemently, she immediately tried to break free, but Mr. Morgan’s brute force kept her restrained, he threw her onto the sofa and pressed down on her, tearing at Sheila Yardley’s clothes.
Lynn Kendall, retaliatory, picked up a glass of liquor and poured it on Sheila Yardley’s face, "Who’s acting cheap?!"
"Alright, she’s still a kid after all," Mr. Morgan said, even as he ripped open Sheila Yardley’s blouse with a "tsshhh" sound.
Her skin exposed to the cold air, sending goosebumps all over, Sheila Yardley’s hands, which initially resisted, now only clung tightly to her body.
Mr. Morgan’s hand reached behind her, unclasped her bra, his hand feeling her waist, his face showing a lecherous smile.
"Isn’t this Boss Grant?" A stranger’s voice interrupted, spoiling Mr. Morgan’s moment, he frowned unhappily and glanced over, appearing shocked, then tossed Sheila Yardley aside, stood up and extended his hand, "Boss Grant? It’s an honor, truly."
Caleb Grant chuckled softly, extending his hand for a brief shake, then as if disgusted, took a handkerchief from his pocket, discreetly wiped his hand, glanced at Sheila Yardley on the sofa, disheveled and looking panicked, and said faintly, "Boss Morgan knows the rules here, even if Mr. Morgan is eager, I can’t just turn a blind eye, or are you too stingy to even pay for a room?"
